Hello, I'm Kimberly and I'm Laura. And today we're talking about the power of the divine feminine. Bam. I know that needs one of those applause. Oh, here you are. I didn't hold long enough. Oh, what a topic. Yeah. So here we are in this time, right? And we've had the masculine energy really strong for a long, long time. And like I was doing a little bit of research for this one and I was looking up like matriarchal societies and I'm like, oh, there must be some, you know, recent, not really, not really. It's been a long time. Um, we're ready. We're ready to come back, you know, I don't know if anybody has more fun than us doing these things.

So I'm, I'm looking back at these, um, ancient societies and how they kind of worked and things and realizing that, you know, everything that we experienced should be in balance. Like everything should, you know, in, in a, in a perfect situation, we would see balance between masculine and feminine. And I think we've been working like towards that. I think there's been a lot of work towards that, uh, for many, many years, but there's societies like the, uh, Iroquois and the Hopi Indians, which they've always, and a lot of indigenous peoples, they, they are in reverence of the mother, you know, like they worship mother earth and grandmother moon and fertility.

And so they're, you know, they're more built in balance. Like they're the roots of their belief systems are more in balance than ours. And when you look at what's happening now, I mean, it's pretty obvious what happens when one side has all the control. But here's the funny thing about the divine feminine, the energy of the divine feminine creates balance and, and invites in the masculine energy. So I think it's so interesting to watch what's happening right now. This, we should start by saying that the divine feminine is not about gender. No, this is not about a gendered, you know, so it's not like, yeah, women, we're going to take over and we're going to beat down the patriarchy.

That's not what it's about. The divine feminine is an energy of that feminine side, but it creates balance within other earth, within masculine and feminine. So all the matriarchal societies that I could like see, read about, um, and that's like, you know, they have a female goddess or a God that they follow. That's a female and they are, you know, more focused on the lineage of women instead of men and women tend to control like land and things like that. So when you go back and you look and you read about them, there is not women are in control sense of energy. It's more the women, the divine feminine energy balances that forcefulness of the masculine energy.

Cause we know masculine energy is typical like structure, logic, action. So moving forward. And then the feminine energy is more about connection, awakening, like connection to earth, like, um, and looking at compassion, maternal, maternal instinct, knowing what to do. And it's hard to talk about this without feeling like it's kind of gendered, but we need to remember that every single person, whether you express as male, female, or even gender fluid, every person has the balance of both energies within them. And it's some, some a little too strong on one side. Well, like in, uh, we were talking about this before we started, like in ancient Taoism, there's the yin and the yin, you know, and the yin is the feminine energy and the yin is the masculine.

And so, you know, we've done all these kind of, uh, explorations, I'll say, into ourselves and Kim has done like her, you know, when you do your astrology, it's, there's some information about yin and yin, and then you see like a Chinese medicine doctor and they talk about your yin and yin, and you know, like, so we were talking about this before we started and lots of yin. Kim is the yin and I am the yin. And it's funny because we used to see, um, a beautiful little Chinese medicine doctor in Halifax and she took one look at Kim because we used to do double treatments. So we go in together and, uh, she took one look at Kim and she said, you were the sun. And then she looked at me and said, Oh, you the moon.

You're cold. Yeah. Yeah. You, you hot, you emotional, you sensitive, you cold. And then Kim is like, Oh, you, you hot, you hot. She was so cute. Oh my God. I know. I really liked her. She was so sweet. She retired and I miss her. I know. Yeah. She was a doll. She was really, really, um, she was good at what she did. Really intelligent. Yeah. Dr. Chin, but she even could tell like all the aspects of it. She'd kind of tease us and say, that's why you're so hot. Yeah. That's why she's so cold. Yeah. So Kim, Kim's the sun and I'm the moon. And that's, that's okay. But I'm learning to appreciate the other side of myself. The, the being, and I think being with you and watching and observing you as I'm sure I feel you observe me as well.

Yeah. I'm a getter done girl. Yep. I am, but I also love, you know, people will say they wish they could go back and be 20 and 30 and I go, Oh no, no, no, I'm 58 this year. I just turned 58 and I can tell you that I am loving my age. I am loving. I do not want to go back and do it all over again. I have memory of other lives that I've, I've tried to get to this place. So I'm not, I'm, I'm here. I'm loving it. And I'm nurturing the yin of me. So, and I, I think a lot of that is because I'm with you and you mirror that to me and I mirror to you. So, yeah, I do have to apologize for my terrible, uh, impression of the accent. That was terrible. Um, but I will say that I could tell like, you know, Kim is a doer and she is always in a state of doing and manifesting.

And I didn't really think about this before, but that is a very like masculine, you know, energy that is like the masculine energy is more in action. But to me, it's also connected to the fact that I know where I come from. So I, I've always had this, you know, you can call it, um, you know, I've always been super confident. I'm not really sure I could understand that I was always so confident, but I just always had this confidence that was bred in me. It was just part of my existence, you know? So I did always believe I could do anything. And until I met you, I didn't really realize that it wasn't something that was more than me just believing that belief, you know, but.

Well, I mean, I would say that when I'm like, when we're getting ready for this and we're seeing like the feminine energy, the divine feminine energy is, you know, intuition, creativity, nurturing, compassion, kindness, empathy, and those are all things, all qualities that you embody as well. So really, you know, are we, are we one way or the other? Maybe a little bit, but in all the ways it matters, you know, you're very balanced and, you know, I didn't actually understand the kind of this whole, the divine feminine movement years ago. Like I didn't, I didn't quite get it. I was like, well, and it's probably because the way that I grew up, you know, I grew up in the Catholic church.

So what does the Bible tell you? The Bible tells you that, you know, the mother of Jesus was a virgin and that, you know, and that she was, you know, very much that mother figure. But, but what else, you know, it didn't really didn't, didn't share, you know, a lot about Mary's personality. And then Mary Magdalene, we were taught was a prostitute and that Jesus, you know, took some pity on her or something and saved her. And really, that's not true at all. But that was the, that was the belief that I had, that's what I had been taught, you know, up until I was in my twenties and I was really starting to question everything. And I started to read different texts and realizing that, oh my gosh, like the Bible is not the only, it's not the only information about that time.

You know, it's not, and it's not historical. The Bible is definitely not historical. So here we are, you know, here I am in this place and I'm starting to read all these other texts. So I was reading a book called The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagel, Pagels. And she took the, if you ever look at this book, it's, it's really well laid out. She took the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Library, which are, you know, that's scriptures that have been found more recently in our more recent history. And so she took those scriptures and she kind of combined them and put them into like what she calls the Gnostic Gospels.

Gnostic just means searcher of truth or believer of truth. It, it's just about looking into what, what the truth actually is for you. So I'm reading this and I'm reading about Mary, Mother Mary, and I'm reading about Mary Magdalene and realizing, wait a second, Mary Magdalene was Jesus is equal. Right. Which that always drove me crazy. Even, even as a young, like I'll say teenager, it just never felt right to me, you know, that intuitive piece of us that just knows when you hear something, you go, that just doesn't, it just stuck. Right. Yeah. So you just knew that was like the start of lifting the, you know, lifting the veil, right? Cause that's what happened to me. I remember the teachings like in church and they're, they're talking about Mary Magdalene.

I'm like, this doesn't, something's wrong. You know, it didn't drive. So Mary Magdalene like was actually Jesus is equal. And he looked at, he looked at women as equals. And he went as far as then this was in the Gnostic gospels, which as I said, came from other scriptures that have been recently found, but he said to the apostles that they would not, the apostles were in this particular passage, they were upset that the women were equal within their group. And Jesus said to them that they would not be able to enter the gates of heaven unless they accepted the feminine energy. Right. In so many words, you know, I'm paraphrasing, but, but that knowledge and that knowing that, you know, there are two sides to us.

And just because we're expressed in something in a male body or a female body doesn't mean that we can't have the balance within. Right. And any system out of balance, any system that is leaning more to one side will eventually fail. Right. It cannot sustain itself without that focused kind of foundation. And so, like I'm reading this and I'm going, okay, so this is, this is something like this means something to me. And that was actually like right around the time that I learned about my oldest and my oldest kid was going through some gender questioning kind of issues. And I had picked up just like kind of one day, like, I don't know.

What I think about all this and I had picked up the Gnostic Gospels off the shelf and flipped it open. And that's the scripture that was there. It was basically that this is, we are all, you know, we all have the representation of the, if you want to say the in and the end masculine feminine. And it is up to us to accept all parts of us and nurture all parts of us. So I really, I really think that's eventually where we're going to end up. But if you look at, as I said, if you look at the matriarchal societies, they don't exclude men, they don't subjugate men, they actually lift them up, you know, and they lift them up for all the good qualities. But when things are in balance, then we don't have any one, you know, population or any one group of people that is kept down, right, like everyone is celebrated, everyone's empowered.

People are empowered to do the things that they're good at the to encourage their strengths. And so it's quite a different way of being than what we've been used to. Right. I think even the, the purpose of talking about even a marriage masculine and feminine energy, it doesn't matter. It can come from two of the same sex or, or, you know, heterosexual, whatever, it's just that we put so much emphasis on the masculine, so much emphasis on the feminine, but really in true balance, it's, it's just the most beautiful partnership you can have. It doesn't matter what context we're trying to put it in, you know. And it always bothered me from a very young age. My dad was Catholic, my mother was Protestant, and mom was the one that followed what she believed.

So we, we studied what she believed in. Um, but there was always that outside, uh, you know, influence of the Catholic. So, but it was very, the way we were brought up, I never had that feeling that it was one way or the other. It just felt like we were talking about it in a more neutral way. It, you know, so I think that was a bonus for me. Um, but I just always had this feeling that a lot of what they said in the Bible and all the Bible stories, you know, were just to keep us, you know, just to keep us, uh, keep us quiet, keep us in that position, you know, so, and I even talked to somebody, um, in the, in the church and I said, you know, it's funny because you and I've had lots of visions and stuff and, you know, um, past life memories, even.

And I've always seen the 12 apostle women and the, and we knew about the 12 apostle men, but I remember having a conversation with this woman in the church and I said, you know, it's funny to me, the stuff we don't allow out. And I said, but I know there was 12 apostle women and she said, they're, they're where it's in this, it's in the scrolls. So there's so much information that's been kept from us. And I think that's why intuition is such a beautiful thing because, you know, I, I just, I love the balance. I love the fact that if, if we could look at the way the world is today, I think we could say that there needs to be more feminine, um, representation in the world because, you know, we're lacking that listening, that hearing people, that, you know, paying attention to what's really going on.

And, and I also am somebody who I just believe that everything's happening just as it's, it's meant to, um, you know, the universe is unapologetically itself. I always say that about the ocean, you know, things are happening as they're meant to. And if, you know, if our, our friends below us are struggling right now, there's purpose and meaning in it. And I, I truly believe that we are in the best time in history. I believe that there's lots of incredible things happening. Um, oh my gosh, like just go and read like some, you know, history books about some of the terrible things that happened, you know, to this human incarnation. So, um, and often like I've been, Kim and I have been getting information for a long time about things that, you know, we haven't really had the space to talk about.

And so some of those, some of those downloads I'll say, or some of those, um, things that the, like the collective have given us, you know, like Kim was talking about how, um, we came to realize that there was 12 apostle women next to the 12 apostle men and that Mary Magdalene was an equal partner with Jesus. And, and after Jesus died, she continued on his teachings and continued to build the church. And I believe a lot of that history has kind of been erased. You know, it's kind of been taken. Hidden. Yeah, hidden. Um, but I do, I do know that when for, for, for, for, for many reasons, you know, that her strength was probably threatening to some people and she was just teaching love.

It's funny how that can be so intimidated. Just teaching unconditional love, but it was, it was threatening to the like empire, I would say of Christianity. And so she was silenced and then, and then what's worse than saying that somebody, you know, was a prostitute, really, and then making Jesus look like he was, you know, just this character, like this holier than now character that, oh, but he forgave her. You know, like it's just, could we ever get into some topics about prostitution today? Oh, because how many women are prostituting themselves in their every day relationship? And it's not just, and we can say women, but it's not just, it's like, it's, it's a phenomenon.

It's like a something that happens that isn't quite, you know, the way that we've been taught it is. Absolutely. Perspective is everything. Oh my gosh. But you know, it's a, it's a funny thing how we are, we are often like a lot of us and especially this generation, you know, we were taught to believe a certain way, but we've woken up and this great awakening is happening. That's why the divine feminine is so strong. That's why the divine feminine I think is like making a comeback. I guess we're, everybody's waking up and the divine feminine energy is about awakening. It's about awakening to truth and love and authenticity and compassion and understanding and love and intuition, like, oh my gosh, look at the kids today that are coming into the world more sensitive than ever before.

Yeah, right. So there's more, there's more, you know, and excuse me, because I don't have a problem with anything. Like I don't have a problem with transgender or any of the labels or autism. Like there's so many things that are coming in. And I just look at it like, wow, the universe is so brilliant. Look what it's doing. It's trying to force people to see things by, you know, keep putting in it or in our awareness when it takes a lot for us to learn. Well, we're, you know, as always, change is a constant. You know, so that's, that's the only constant we have is change. And so we were continually evolving, but there's been so much involvement in the human awareness in the past little while that now we can't have these conversations.

Whereas, you know, before I remember the first time that I channeled Mary and Mother Mary. Right. I thought that was like, hush, like I thought I couldn't tell anybody. It was like I had, I couldn't, I couldn't explain it to anybody. I couldn't share it. I had to keep it to myself. I thought that, you know, this would be terrible if I told people that Mary talked to me and she told me these things, you know. I don't think I ever had a very good filter for that stuff. I think I just always said what I thought. Well, maybe, maybe. But, you know, now I'm feeling, I feel the openness, not just within myself, but within the world to hear, to hear more, to really listen. And it's funny, because on one side of things, we've got this, you know, we've got a lot, a lot of strife and struggle.

And, you know, unfortunately, it's in our faces all the time, you know, we see the news, we see the events that are happening. We can't, you can't trust anything anymore. And that's, that's what I was kind of saying to Kim yesterday. I was like, I don't understand. Like, is this, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Because there's this person saying it's a good thing. This person saying it's a bad thing. And then there's so many perspectives now and so many opinions. Like, I don't think we ever had this many opinions. Like, you know. Well, we're in a time of, there's overload of information. Think about it. You can, you can grab your phone and Google anything today. But that's one of the reasons why I'm not that person. And I, I've never have been. I don't read the news. I don't listen. I, and I apologize. If I need to know something, I just ask my wife.

But, but on a spiritual level. I don't want it clouding my, my thinking. And I get that because on a spiritual level, you think about this. There are, you know, billions of realities and truths. And even within yourself, like we were listening to somebody channel, they're like collective energy that speaks to them. And they were talking about the mirror effect. And they were saying how you yourself can look in a mirror. And then if the mirrors are like repeated. So think of yourself sitting with mirrors all around you. And they're all repeating back multiple reflections. Well, that can all be you.

So you can actually be all these multitude of existences, truths, you know, how you appear to other people, how do you appear to yourself? So if that's all within one person, imagine how many realities are out there. And well, and I think that for some people, that's very complicated statement, but that happens to us all the time. I feel that way all the time. Sometimes I'll be, you know, I get out of the shower and I'm in the mirror and I'm doing all my nightly routine or morning routine. And I look at myself and depending on, you know, honestly, depending on the exact mood I'm in, I can look at my body. And mostly my conversation, my dialogue today is, thank you, because boy has this body ever been through a lot.

And I'm so grateful that you've gotten me through. And I feel like now it's my turn to make sure I take care of you. But it's all these simple little things that affect my awareness every day. And, you know, you had said about multiple realities at once. And one of the gifts that I am truly grateful for, because it's very hard for me to be away from my family in New Brunswick. But one of the gifts of that is that I'm in another province where I have no family other than your family, obviously, and I love them dearly. But I have a lot of time. And I, because I have a lot of time, I have a lot of time to listen to my intuition. Because I have a very quiet, I have a quietness to me here that I never had when I was in New Brunswick, because I was always so busy.

And as a mom and a grandmom, we're always trying to make sure we help keep everybody else good. But one of the greatest gifts I have being here is the awareness that I have every day and the time that I have. So I've had multiple meditations where I've seen something that's being corrected right now in this time. But then it's showing me how many lives I've lived that I haven't had the opportunity to heal those things, but now I am in this life. So it's almost like I see it, I'm watching, I'm the observer watching myself have this healing, this new awareness, the shift, this ah-ha, and it happens continuously here.

Yeah. Yeah. So this is the thing, right? Like you're open, you're connected, you're listening, you're allowing, you know that just because you've thought something for many years doesn't mean that it's right. Or wrong. Or wrong. Doesn't mean that you need it or you don't need it. Yeah. This part of your awareness. It's part of... Being in non-judgment and just being sort of like an observer and allowing things to come in and look at them and then kind of decide what category they belong in. And I think that is the gift of the divine feminine. It really is because the divine feminine energy, which is very high vibrational energy, and you can think of all the female goddesses, all the leaders, teachers, they are not overpowering.

I should say most of them are, some of those goddesses don't mess with them. But, you know, the energy is of a consistent, compassionate, open energy of the complete divine feminine, I'll say. There's still that, you know, fighter warrior energy too, when it has to be there. But I think the difference, the thing about the divine feminine is it doesn't need, it doesn't go there unless it's completely necessary. Right. Right. And so being in the space of allowing and just listening is so important for everybody right now, because everything is changing, everything's changing, the way that we think and believe and the actions we take. I think it's more about, I don't know, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we're in a time where we can believe more than we could before.

You know, I think we were, you know, being focused into one area and it was this way or no way. And now there's like all these possibilities. And I think, to me, that's healthy. That's a very healthy place to be, you know, and I think with what's going on in the world right now, I hate to sound, I'm a very empathic person. I'm very sensitive. And that's why I don't watch the news, it hurts me. But I'm always praying for the universe. And I've had many conversations lately with friends, family, my kids, you know. And yeah, I know people are afraid. I know they're afraid of what's going on. And I just sit back and watch it and go, it has purpose.

Oh, yes. But I mean, there's a point for like social activism. There is a point where we do need to stand up for the less vulnerable people. But that's what's the beauty of what's happening though. So yes, there's a negative thing happening here. And it seems terrible. But it's creating this energy of look at the walk they just did. Oh, the Buddhist monks. Like the walk for peace. And look at how many people like everybody just wants to see that sign that there's hope. So we have to be the hope. We have to bring the hope. No, absolutely. And I think that's a good place to talk about some real studied phenomenon. Like I think we've talked about chaos theory before on the show.

And chaos theory basically is when a system becomes too inefficient, too disorganized. And you see this in nature. It's been very studied, you know, with storms and things like this, there's a buildup of energy. And then it's like the system becomes too complicated and it must kind of implode, explode, you know, to start over again. And so natural disasters are good examples of this. But it also happens in human relationships. It happens in systems we have like, you know, the financial system, the education system, these kinds of things. So what you're seeing in some government systems right now is that they've become so complicated that there has to be a shift.

And then what shifts these systems? It's when things get really bad, you know, when things get bad and people are challenged and they're forced to change. And so you can see that you just look so to the border. There's chaos theory happening all over the place. But that chaos theory always gets to a place of reorganization. So we're at the sort of at the pinnacle right now. Like we're at the point where things May be really crazy for a little while. But we're going to see this hit a point where it has to continue to rebirth itself, kind of like reorganize itself. And this is like a studied phenomenon that happens over and over again in nature.

So this is, we're seeing it. It's happening right now and it's scary because people are getting hurt. And we take that very seriously. Like Kim and I, our part May not be like social activism, but our part is how we send energy, how we meditate, how we pray, how we intentionally send good energy into bad situations, how we help our families. And I've said this many times before, that if each of us just focused on the people we loved and focused on supporting them and helping them, there would be no problems in the world. But see, there's so much, so many people are neglected, so many people don't have somebody to help them.

But if each of us just turned to our loved ones and decided to help them or support them, I don't think we would have all the problems we have. No, no, I agree. So we, Kim and I look at the people in our life that we can help. And we also, we do what we can in our own energy field to still create joy and bliss in times of need. And the way that I look at this is, and we've talked about this too, that two things can be true. You can be angry at what's happening, but you can still love yourself, love your family, and still kind of feel empowered enough, enlightened enough to live your soul path. Well, and I know I say this repeatedly, but we truthfully owe it to ourselves.

To stay away from the things that hurt us. So if it's the news, if it's, you know, having to visit these same people, you know, it's, I started making my visits very short with people that I knew I couldn't handle the energy for too long, you know, so I would just, I would make my visits short because I still deeply, deeply love these people, my friends, my family, whoever they might be. But I couldn't allow, because I'm very affected by energy, you know, but I'm very careful not to allow myself to let my tank get empty. You know, your, your, your, your soul energy is so important and you have to really guard that.

It doesn't matter if it's your mother, your father, your, your partner, your, your kid trying to pull you down the hole, you got to make sure you have enough to keep yourself good because you're the representation of this divine feminine for so many people. Oh, and really think about this from the soul point of view. There's nothing more important than your sacred life force. Right. And this life, this human life is one incarnation, but your soul May have had hundreds of incarnations. So, or more thousands, baby. But this is not from that larger perspective, the soul perspective. There is no universal consciousness, source consciousness, God, there's, there's no energy that wants you to suffer.

Right. And so, yes, is, is, is there challenges in the world? There's sad things happening. Of course there is, but there are people that will be called to stand and do what they need to do in different ways. And I always felt like our calling was actually to lend our our energy and to keep keep our family good, keep ourselves good, but keep our energy and our vibration high so we can continue to send energy to the people that can be the upfront, like the front line of the activism, the people that can go to the protests and the people that can fight. And, you know, and we might not be those people and you the listeners May not be those people, but we can support the people that have the power to do this, that have the ability and the drive to do this.

And there are people that are called to do this and there are people that are called to do other things. And I think that's important to recognize is that just because we're not all yelling and screaming on social media about how terrible things are, doesn't mean that we're not aware and it doesn't mean that we're not trying to help in our own way. Absolutely. And there are some things that have to happen right now. You know, like they're like Kim said, there is a reason for all this. And we know how this works. The pendulum swings wide one way and then has to swing back the other way. And we've seen this very wide swing in politics for a long time. It's just the way things go. But we are actually living in the best time ever, believe it or not.

I believe it 100% because there is there was a time where you be careful. Don't piss off your neighbor because they will come over and skin you alive and burn you and eat you for dinner. You know, like there was, you know, we're talking. We forget medieval times. Mystery. Think about like the, you know, heads on stakes. And you know, like I couldn't believe it when I went to Mexico and me and a friend went and it was quite a while ago, but we decided to go to Chichen Itza on like that day trip tour thing. And the tour guide was leading us around like all the Mayan ruins. And he took us to this one place and it had, there was stone, like a stone wall. And on each stone was a carved skull. And, and, you know, they were, it was a wall all lined up in an enclosed area.

And he said, oh, this is where they used to put the heads on the stakes. And so, you know, when the, when they played, they like la la la. Yeah, like la la la. So they had like a huge field where they would play this game. And it was sort of like soccer, but pretty much impossible game. Like it had a tiny stone ring, like way up on the top of the wall. And they had this little rubber ball and the teams had to get it through the hole. But here's the clincher. I mean, it was an honor to win if your team won. Because soon as somebody got the ball through that little hole, they won. Because it was all, it only happened once. But there's a lot of fighting on the field and all this. But then the guide is like, he said, oh yeah. So it's an honor for the team to win. So they got sacrificed.

They got all their heads cut off and put on stakes. And they put their heads in this, what, what sort of like what our idea of a cemetery would be to, on display for the whole community to see, what an honor, you know. And I was like, this is crazy. And then he showed us the, they have this. Laura's like, I like my head. Yeah. Goes with my body quite well. I'd like to keep that. So, so as advanced as the Mayans were, like they created the calendar and like math and numbers and astronomy and like, they're just like the, they were so smart, you know, like they figured out the seasons and all this. But the human sacrifice was like everywhere. It's like they just, like it was an honor for, for their ruler.

I don't know if they called him a king or whatever, but for him to like say, oh, cut off their head, you know, right in front of them and, you know, blood everywhere. And that was their thing. And they also had this deep, deep well. So it was like divers have been, if you know anything about Chichen Itza, like divers have been in this well of water and gone, tried to get to the bottom and they can't find the bottom. Of course, everybody wanted to find the bottom because what they used to do was they would dress up their royalty in as much gold as they could find, as much valuable things, basically make them walk the plank and sacrifice them to the gods. So these, you know, royalty, princes, princesses, whatever, all dressed in all this heavy, heavy gold.

And then they jump into the water. Well, of course, it would sink and drown. That was considered good. That was like, that was like a celebration ceremony. What a legacy, right? Look at my skull. Oh my God. It's right here in the stone. So I remember on this trip, now mind you, it was 20 years ago, but I remember thinking, like, where, I don't understand, like, I don't understand how this is good. Like, how is, they were such a- But in their time, that was the best legacy you could possibly have. Right. Right. So think about today, all the ways people want to have this big legacy. I guess that was, you know. And so now I'm like, and we're thinking about this now, about, you know, yes, we are in a very difficult time, no question, a very difficult time of change.

But we've actually improved, you know, as societies, as a species, we actually have evolved. And I think we forget that. I think people forget how far we've come. Well, and we've evolved on multiple levels. There's not just, you know, in one way. There's, we're more wide open with religion and beliefs and stuff, where more, you know, women can do more, you know. And I've never been a feminist in the way that I was all about women and not men. I'm always about equality within people. It never mattered to me. You know, half the time, I don't even realize I'm in the same sex relationship. I know we don't- I just realize that I'm in a healthy, loving relationship.

That is, it's really about the two becoming one. And what a blessing really just take a minute here. What a blessing it is to live in Canada that we don't even, we don't really think about this very often. You know, it's very rare that we think, you know, that, oh, it's because we're in a same sex relationship. Like that doesn't really happen. But I will say, like we've traveled a little bit. And you don't feel this way everywhere. No. Matter of fact, I was surprised when I did feel this because I've never felt, I've never felt, you know, bad or, you know, people say, oh, like, so you were, you know, you were gay all your life. And I go, well, no, I wasn't.

I was in a relationship with a man and now I'm in a relationship with a woman. I know for us. I kind of think that's kind of unique. I've been with one man in my life intimately and one woman intimately. Hopefully I'm done. Yeah. It's kind of funny because I don't think we, I don't think we classify, we can, like Kim and I can classify ourselves, like put us into boxes because it doesn't work. I don't like boxes. Well, and I don't think, I will say that I had, I didn't have an awareness. Like my awareness was that I was, um, I was with a man and I was straight and that was my awareness and I didn't have any other awareness and the new awareness kind of started to creep in.

Unfortunately, it did start to creep in a little bit before my marriage was over, but you know, I figured it out. I mean, I had to have the awareness and I had to have the change, but it's interesting and there is, um, I can't remember the name of her book. There's a girl that just, um, published a book not too long ago and I think it's called perfectly queer. If I'm not wrong, I'll have to look it up, but, um, she was married to a man and she had kids and she had, uh, a cranial sacral session and in the session, something shifted in her and she realized she was gay. And I just, I thought about that quite a bit, um, that it's, it's strange that you can live almost like two different lives.

Like I look at this as my second life. Me too. And I don't have any regrets. Yeah. And I don't, I don't believe in them. I believe if we trust it, this is like the funniest thing for me is I see so many people that say they're into this work or, you know, the spiritual community, that's another whole topic. But I really, I really have always believed that everything I've done, and maybe not in the moment, obviously I'm human, but I believe everything's happening just exactly as it's meant to. And I really practice that a lot stronger now than I ever have before, because I haven't always had the space to believe what I trust to be true until now. Exactly. So this is what I'm saying is that there was no space for a new awareness in my life before I had it.

So was I gay that whole time? I can't say I was either, because I didn't have that awareness. Right. So it's... Well, if it matters to somebody, like it never mattered to me. Yeah. Like I never cared. Like I don't feel, I don't feel any way about it. I just feel like truthfully, I'm just in a very healthy relationship. And I do believe that contracts are contracts. So I believe that, and I love thinking this way because I wish no harm on my ex. I think we get along great for the most parts. And we can't get along with everything because we're not the same people. Well, no, but like it is true. Like there is, we talked about sacred soul contracts in another podcast, and there is an end usually to these contracts.

I mean, not everybody, some people. You know, they marriage is a sacred contract. Some people are in it their whole lives. Some people aren't. That's just it, right? So this feeling like talking about the divine feminine and understanding really that energy, understanding it's not about gender. It's just that if you've focused yourself into your energy into a female body, then you are more likely to experience the feminine energy over the masculine. But then we can pull in the masculine when we need to and we should, because we should try to stay in balance. So like that yin and yin energy should be in balance. Well, I even like the symbol because it's showing how two pieces of the same create a whole, right?

So I love that. And it's interesting too because right now in the, in the, we'll just say in the political environment and what's happening, pulling into the social environment, you know, there is a theory which I do think it's happening called extinction burst. And the theory is that patriarchy, the patriarchy is starting to become extinct. So we're growing that way of being and that we need to bring that masculine energy back into the feminine for balance. So what happens in an extinction burst is it's just like it sounds, there's a huge surge of energy at the end of a movement to try to keep it alive.

It's like, it's like if your heart stops and somebody takes the paddles and gives you a zing. So that's where we are right now. The patriarchy is on life support. And you know what? There is a lot of good things about that divine masculine energy. Absolutely. But the patriarchy as we experience it now is moved so far away from the divine masculine that we are now in a place of merely power and control. Right. So that's why, you know, I don't have any problem for selfish reasons too. It's not just. Yeah. And we, I mean, I know Kim feels the same way. So I can speak for her, but we don't have anything against men. This isn't what this is about.

It's not a gendered topic. This is about the energy that is, that represents, you know, the masculine energy or the feminine energy. Oh, I have to say, I mean, I have two children and my son is 36. My daughter's 30. My daughter's in the same sex relationship. And so she has, she hasn't had any of her own children, but my son has four. So I sometimes talk about my son more, but it's only because I love watching my masculine son be very in balance a lot of the times with that feminine energy because he's a nurturer. He can come home. He can pick his kids up and he can come home and he can feed them supper and he can bat them.

And I also see him being very strict but also very nurturing and very loving. But he's understanding too. Absolutely. I see him actually slow himself down and listen to the kids. And, you know, and okay. So, and he doesn't mind changing course. You know, like if, if he has an idea and have said, like, I'm going to discipline them this way, but then if the kids are, you know, saying something that makes sense to him, it's just a truth. And he's like, okay, like we can do this differently. So to me, that's that, that understanding that flexibility, right? And I think that if we could really bring that because, you know, you look at today, there's so many people that it's very rare for people to stay together with one person forever. And I think that a lot of that is also because of the same topic we're talking about today.

It's that, you know, women can't work full time and still go get the groceries and pay all the bills and, you know, do the kids homework and feed them supper and bath them because that I don't care. The relationship won't work because one side is carrying way too much. Yeah. And it has to be in balance. So, you know, what we're talking about today is not just about politics. It's not just about, you know, our belief system or whatever. It's about every aspect of our life we can pull this into, you know, I, you know, you and I, we do, you know, you're a psychic medium but you mentor people and you're a sole coach and so am I and I'm a therapist and, you know, I'm a rakey master teacher and, you know, we do all these things but it's just so important that we bring these aspects into every day, every situation and life can get so much simpler.

And it's also about respect, obviously because, you know, when we can take the power and control out and the hope and love is more dominant and more prevalent in front of us, it's, it makes everything easier. Yeah, you know, you and I can succeed and I don't know about you but lately I feel very calm. I feel very successful. I feel abundant on a level I've never felt before. I feel fulfilled in a way I've never felt exactly before to this magnitude and I know it's because of that exact divine feminine awareness that we both have and a lot of people will say, you know, because I'm six feet tall and I'm not a little woman, you know, they'll just assume that I'm more of the masculine but I would like to say that I'm the best balance I've ever been and it's because I can look at both sides of the feminine and say that there's a yin and yang to everything.

Oh, yes, it's everywhere. In everything, in all of existence and we live on earth, earth is, you know, when I connect to my kind of galactic guides and I connect to the light beings that are more in the know about the universe like more than they've experienced life on other planets and things like that. When I connect to them, they say earth is the hardest place to be in the universe but it's also the best. Right. Well, this experience, I mean, let's be honest. I think about just our life in the last week, we went to the beach two days. We went and we make everything fun. But we appreciate it too. Because we appreciate it.

Because there are lots of people that, you know, do lots of cool things, but if they're not being, if they're not in the being, then they can't appreciate the moments, you know. But yeah, when I connected the, we'll say the galactic collective, if you can say it that way. When I connect to them, they say earth is a privilege to be here. I agree. And you do get to experience the contrast, but the contrast can be beautiful in and of itself if you know how to appreciate it. And so if you're in a place right now where you're struggling and you feel like things are, you know, things just keep going wrong, I want you to just stop and ask yourself, what is, what is the lesson?

What is my lesson right now? And you will get the answer. It May not be the answer you want, but you will get it because everything that happens actually happens for you, for your soul growth. And as soon as you see that pattern, as soon as you see like, oh my gosh, wow, I lost my job and that was terrible. But I see now that that wasn't a healthy place for me to be and I did learn to stand up for myself there. So then when I went to the next job, I started off on a better foot, set my boundaries, and I was really, you know, even about everything and I didn't, you know, I didn't get stressed out or whatever. You can see that these things that happen to you that seem to be the worst things ever. You can see why they happen.

You can see that they happen because you needed to learn something. You needed to get some piece of information to help you with the next step, you know. So when you start seeing, you see that perspective shift and you start to see that things are happening for you, then you can really begin to have gratitude for the life experience. And in the gratitude, that is when you start to see miracles and magic happen all around you. And Kim knows, she knows me, she knows all my stories, but I have had many people in my life that have used me. And I didn't really understand it for a long time. I mean, maybe I would, people could say I was naive, but I just think they're so pure. That's what I was going to say. I like to think, I like to think I just see the good in people.

Yeah. And when I see, when clients come to me and I see this in them, I see the exact same thing that they are just a pure soul that didn't really, it didn't occur to them that somebody could take advantage of them in that way. So I've had many people in my life, you know, use me, take advantage of me, lie, betray. And these are like key players in my life. And now I'm in this place where I understand why that happened. And I'm grateful for all those people because I love who I am right now. And those people made me who I am. That's exactly, you just touched on something I was thinking about while you're talking is I feel, you know, I listened a lot to Wayne Dyer and, and Carolyn Mace.

And oh my gosh, just so many people, I just love listening to them. Um, but they speak to the importance of each individual soul and how important it is when you are in awareness that it's so important to nurture that and to, to how allow that to grow. And I feel, I feel so blessed to be in this time and to be this person. I always say to Laura, I feel so, so lucky to be me. And I mean that in the way that I've grown from a very dysfunctional childhood and upbringing. You know, the, and I, and just as we're talking, things are kind of unfolding for me.

And I'm seeing that, yes, I was, I'd say I was the kid that was always different. And I wouldn't say black sheep because that wasn't quite true. My mother locked up to me and always listened to what I had to say. And I felt like I was a counselor for her all my life. But we all do what we know. So the first part of your life, you, you do what you know and you try to figure it out as you're going. But I feel like when I met my husband, it was a perfect timing because he was everything a man was not. So together, if we did one thing, right? You know, I look at my son and go, wow, we, you know, and I look at my daughter and how she fights for what she believes in and how, you know, she's, she's had to struggle with judgment, not just because she's gay, but she's with an older woman.

And there's been a lot of adversity for her as well. But I look and go, we are always doing the best we can do. I love that I've come from the background. I did. And we were, we were, we had a lot of poverty back then. I remember my mom telling me stories. She was 98 pounds after four kids, 21. And, you know, my parents were kids having kids. So, you know, I don't judge them as much as some people think I might. And I believe people are doing the best they can do. I agree. With everything they have. I mean, you're going to get the odd, you know, you know, random person now and then that is, you know, truly not a good person. But for the most part, I'd say 98% of people are doing the best that they can do.

They really are with what they have. And you've got to think about everything. I mean, there's many challenges. So for those of you that feel like you've been struggling and really struggling with everything that's happening in the world right now or maybe thinking, you know, worrying about your own path or your own life. My advice and what I learned from the divine feminine is that we need to stay in a state of being. Because if we can stay in that state of being, then we know that there, we don't have to worry about what's, you know, what's coming or what happened in the past.

Because in that moment, you can actually take stock of your life and you can see that everything is usually okay. Well, and it is a state of awareness in the being. Yeah. You're in a state of awareness and in that awareness you're, you can understand things a lot easier than you could if you weren't. It's a mindfulness, you know, to stay in a place where you understand, you know, take stock of where you are. Do you have everything you need? Most people are well in every moment. And we really have to make sure that we're not worrying about future events that May not even take place or that we can't control. That's a big thing with me. If I can't control it, then I have to let it go. And as we said earlier, Kim and I, we really focus our energy into positivity, light, joy, helping people, you know, enjoy their lives.

And we're not, yeah, hope, we're not meant, we're not meant to have lives that we don't enjoy. You know, obviously we all have hardships, but we're not meant not meant to struggle. We're not meant to suffer. And a lot of those moments where we do feel like we're struggling, they are lessons and they do happen for us. They happen to help us. So the biggest takeaway from, you know, learning about the power of the divine feminine for me is this feeling like we should be in a state of being instead of doing an action all the time. Absolutely. And like we said, we are human beings, not human doings, right? All right, we'll talk to you next week.
