Hello, I'm Kimberly. And I'm Laura. And today we're talking about spring energy cleaning checkup. Yeah, we want, I know we want, it's a, it's a spring cleaning for your energy. And we want to do the check in with you to make sure that you do this. The reason why we talked about this today was because it's beautifully sunny here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We're feeling spring energy, but we also are feeling the push. So we're feeling the desire to move forward. And that is going to be the energy. That's going to be what we're in for the next little while. It's going to feel like get up and get going, like find the solution, fix the problem. Yeah. You know, by the time most of you are listening to this, you'll probably be in full swing. Like you'll be like, Oh my God, what else do I got to do? I got to do this. I got to do that. I got to do this. So before you get like crazy here, we thought it might be nice to check in and check in with the energy that you all are probably going to start to feel here pretty soon. If you haven't already, because I know with me, it's like I'm looking at things. And I've always been an in action person and creative, but we're recently going through our own kind of energy clearing.
We've been doing it for a couple months actually cleaning out cupboards and cleaning out the fridge and, you know, restoring the energy. And, and we kind of laugh at each other. And right now I'm finishing odd jobs around the house and just even cleaning out the garage and cleaning out the shed and preparing ourselves for this new energy. And the more prepared we are, the more we can handle. Yeah. And I always think like we're carrying around other people's energy and thoughts when we have like stuff laying around or even just like clutter and things can cause a lot of problems. So I always think of what used to happen to me before my spiritual awakening going into an antique shop and after. Okay. Cause like before I used to love like that kind of antique like shopping, right? Like in you, I used to even buy antiques like for my hosts and this now I'm going to say this is me. And if you love antiques and you love it and you love the energy, then that's you. But for me, after a spiritual awakening, walking into an antique store was like walking into a room where everyone was screaming at me.
Halloween party. Yeah. But, but not a nice Halloween party. Cause it felt like I was in everybody's life energy and that is overwhelming when you are a wide open spiritual person. So I remember like the difference because I used to love it and I used to love looking at the old things and everything. And then all of a sudden the shift happened to me and I was like, it felt like everything was attacking me in antique stores and I was still trying to do it. And then I realized why, why am I torturing myself? So when people like they come to me sometimes and they'll say, do you have any haunted objects or, you know, or they'll say, do you have any stories about haunted objects? I'm like, no, because I don't like them.
So I don't have any. I think you're so cute because you're into this work, but it's like the things that don't bother you would be scary to most. And the things that bother you are really quite like mild to me. What I would think you would be affected by. So I love all the. I know. And recently I have to say, this is kind of like off topic a little bit, but a friend of mine, Kim Moser, if you're listening Kim, hello. Hello Kim. She has, she has a group of ladies mediums, three mediums, and they kind of do all these different things. And she had a video up and it was like haunted item shopping in a thrift store. And I was like, Oh my God, I think that would be like kind of a nightmare for me because you're in public and you're like feeling the energy of these things.
I have a hard time even in secondhand stores now, but that energy is a little bit different than an antique shop. For some reason, like the secondhand store, I can kind of block it. But in antique shops, I really have a hard time and it's because everybody, everything has an energy, you know, everything has, you know, a life force, everything does. And then certain people's life force connect with these objects in such an intricate way. And then it doesn't, you can clear objects to a point, but I don't think some things I don't feel like you can ever fully clear the energy of it. So it reminds me of a while back, a long time ago, I had a client ask me about their hosts and their hosts was not necessarily haunted, but it was an old house and it was built by hand by somebody probably in, you know, the late 1800s, early 1900s. And I could visualize this house when this person was talking to me and they were saying all the trouble they were having.
I could see this house and I could see this man and I could see him building the house, like cutting the lumber and hammering the nails and everything. And so my feeling was that he had put so much energy into the house that you could cleanse it to a point, but you couldn't fully remove his energy because he literally built the house with his own hands, you know. So she was having trouble with like just feeling low mood and kind of depressed and like heaviness. And I talked to her about it and I said, well, I said, you can cleanse, but maybe the best thing to do is to try to make friends with the builder in spirit, you know, maybe offer him something, maybe like make a connection with him and see if it can release some of the energy because he built it like so his energy is tied up in it. And I think it's the same way with things like things that we buy.
And now I think more people, you know, yes, antiques, that's one, but people are buying things that aren't really good for them in other ways, like maybe the paint is toxic, maybe the plastic is toxic, you know, so now we have a different, we have another concern because we're buying things that maybe are polluting our environment, but if they're polluting our environment, then the energy can't be good either. So I think this is like we know we all have too much stuff, you know, and the stuff has energy. And so even other people's stuff, like if you, if you people are leaving their stuff and you're like watching it for them, storing it for them, I never love that. Never. And I remember your mom, anytime she had somebody stuff, she couldn't wait to get rid of it. Oh yeah. I think she knew more than she let on, or I think she knew more than she understood herself. But I think the other thing that happens with all this is that the older you get, so the more we're here and the more experiences we have, the more, for me, it's almost like a rule. If I don't use something and it's been sitting there for six months or more, then I go and I know I probably drive you crazy sometimes because
It's like it's gone. If it's not being used, then I don't want to hold on to it. Well, you think about the energy of having something, but not using it, you know, and if you're feeling kind of stuck in your life and you're feeling like you don't know where to go, what to do, maybe the first thing to do is to do this spring energy check checklist or check up and see if there's things in your environment. So number one, we know stuff carries energy. We know that, you know, if you have old stuff in your house, you might want to pick it up like an antique, you can pick it up and hold it just like anything. You can pick up and hold a thing, some stuff, and you can feel, you can actually ask yourself, like, is this for me or is this not for me? And I really want you to trust this, like, do you feel good when you hold it or you don't feel good? And some people might remember the great organizer, her name was Marie Kondo, and she said, if it doesn't bring you joy, get rid of it.
Well, I kind of am with her on this, you know, obviously we can't throw everything out, but this is a good way to see if something is for you, if you're not sure. So other people's stuff, maybe you were in a bad relationship, but you still have your ex's stuff, like why? Get rid of that stuff, like right away. Maybe you had somebody betray you, get rid of that stuff, right? You know, like, you don't want any connections with somebody who doesn't have your best interest at heart. Because then it's heavier, it's, it's like all of these things carry energy, and they pile up in your way just like regular clutter. So if you are clear focus, you want you want to move on a path, and you want to move forward, but you feel like there's too much, you know, in your way, maybe it's the energy of things that need to be cleaned out. And it has more to do with it affects more things than we realize too, because there's a physical clutter that manifests inside of us too, right? It can be agitating. I know if I walk into someone's home or somebody's room and it's cluttered, I can feel their anxiety. I can feel they're not wanting to deal with their life. I can feel with I can, I can feel multiple, multiple things. And then if you look inside the person,
You can see that they are stuck. They don't know how to move, right? And then when things are cleared, you feel the freedom of it. I know this isn't the exactly, you know, we're always careful what we say on the podcast, but we just lost our family pet and just the cleaning of their stuff and getting rid of it and and having to, you know, re home at sometimes some of the things that are good and getting rid of the things that you just have to get rid of. There's this new energy because, you know, that that life has been lived, but it's done and it's almost this, to me, it's a graceful way of letting go because you're honoring the animal different way in different ways, you know, because you don't want to just, you know, sit there and look at things and make yourself feel bad. But you also don't want to leave things there that don't don't smell very good. They don't look very good. There's the energy of their their passing that you want to release. So there's the physical part of that, like you said, like looking at it smelling it, but then the energy part is the energy residue of sickness.
Right. So are we going to keep the things that bring us joy and bring us good memories of Piper? Absolutely. Right. But the things that were kind of like aids to her, like her bed, you know, if we, you know, if we could re-gift it and we thought it would be okay, but you can't, you can't do that with everything. No. That bed has so much energy in it that that bed won't go to anybody else. Right. Just the feeling that we both had after that you're not paying attention to everything all the time, but there was an expansiveness in the house that there wasn't before. And there was just this lightness and this, I'm somebody that when people pass, I, I try to always, I've trained myself to think of all the good and all the happy and the love and, and stuff because I'm, I'm not a believer that we should be always suffering. And I think there's too much emphasis put on suffering in this life. And I would like to see less.
Yeah, more, more honoring and more experience, all the things we experience with that person or pet or thing, whatever. It's all the same. It doesn't matter if it's an object or, you know, it's a person or if it's a pet, the amount of energy that's tied into the relationship, the connection is absolutely incredible. And it touches more levels that we can even begin to talk about today. And, you know, previous practices, like kind of the older, like Celtic practices, we now know, like most people are familiar with smudging, because we know a lot more about indigenous culture. But really, there was some early Celtic and pagan kind of processes and ceremonies that they did for cleansing. And in some places, they used Juniper. Yeah. So they, they use use what you have, right? So they drive Juniper, and then they light it and the smoke from the Juniper would clear the energy out of homes.
This is, I think Scotland, you know, more like locally, Scotland practice, but the idea of doing something to cleanse the energy is really important and has been around for a long time. And it's really only our modern, like North American culture that has forgotten about it, because if you talk to people, even in the Caribbean, they, they still cleanse homes, like the if some, if they're moving into a home that somebody else lived in, they'll cleanse it because you got to start fresh. And I remember my friend from Jamaica, like she said, we don't wear secondhand clothing unless it's from somebody you know, and you like them, right? Because the person's energy is in the clothes. And if you put the clothes on, it's like you're wearing their energy. So they don't even do that. Typically, they don't do it unless the hand-me-downs come from a family member that they actually want to wear their clothes, you know, which that's understandable, right? That's smart. And the other thing I learned from Patricia, which I thought was really interesting is we talk about breaking a mirror and how you get seven years bad luck. That's breaking energy. Well, that's not how they feel. They feel that if you break glass, it's good luck. And when you break
Glass, it releases energy that's built up. So I mean, choose to believe whatever works for you. But these are things that we can think about from varying like sides and see why some cultures do what they do. And I believe that, you know, any home you move into, you should cleanse it. If it's been lived in before, maybe you want to cleanse it from the builders. But you know, you should. That's probably more true than you know. I think there's lots of people like to cleanse the energy of the builders. You should, you should. And maybe you want to cleanse the energy of your mortgage, your banker, I don't know. I cleanse a lot myself. That's it. And I think it's about the intention and the action can actually move energy.
And we know energy is not created or destroyed. So we just sometimes we just want to move it from our path. We want to let go of things and stop, you know, thinking about things so much or let go of the energy so it's not in your way. And so this goes for so many things, do not keep dead plants in your house. Oh my gosh. The energy of that is not good. You know, old food. I know people that stockpile food and they go, Oh, it's it's expired on the can. It says it's expired, but you know, canned food lasts forever. No, it doesn't. Okay, I'm talking about your health and safety a little bit, but I'm also talking about energy. Why that's like a poverty mentality, right? Like that you can't throw that out. You can.
That's not good for you. You know, if it's five years past its expiry date, don't eat that. That's not only bad for you health wise. It's bad for your energy field to say to the universe that I'm willing to accept this right and put it into my sacred temple. So really, if we think about, think about your body as a sacred temple, why are we doing any of this stuff? I know, I know, as human beings, like why are we letting ourselves, you know, think this way about ourselves that we're, it's okay to have, you know, it's okay to wear clothing that's all, you know, torn and messed up and it, and it's okay to have dead plants in your house and it's okay to have clutter and garbage. Don't do those things. It's you are honoring, honoring yourself by, you know, going through the stuff and the other side of it, which I know you're going to like this and I'm going to let you take this over. You actually deal with your life. Right? Right? Yep. Like how many times, you know, you, because you had said you walk into somebody's space and it's all cluttered and everything. And what's the first thing you think you think this person can't deal with anything?
Right. But what's the step to dealing with something? Start dealing with it, right? Do something. Action. Take an action. And even if it's a small action. So I know like when I was at my very worst after a car accident and I really couldn't function and things just kept piling up around me because I didn't have the headspace to figure anything out. And I remember a therapist, occupational therapist, I think they said to me, you know, what if you just told yourself 15 minutes a day, you were going to sit down because I had a mountain of paperwork on my dining room table. Kim met me around this time. She probably remembers. I do. My dining room table was ridiculous. I just think you can't be eating supper on this table. No, it wasn't for supper.
It's a collection table. It was for papers. What is your table used for? Let's see. No, not food. It was for my not non filing system. Like just everything I got, everything that came into the house, it didn't matter if it was junk mail, it ended up on the table. So she had said to me, take 15 minutes a day and just see how far you get. Like, you know, so it did take me, it took me a little while, but I remember I was like, they probably took two months before I had everything like actually filed in file folders and stuff. And all the garbage thrown out. And I remember going in to see her and I told her I was done. And I was so proud of myself because that was such an overwhelming job and especially with the head injury and other physical injuries. And I just thought I just kept avoiding it. Like I'm not going to do it, but it's not, you can't avoid stuff like that.
Like you, you do have to like work your way through things. And then when you do, you develop skills and you start to see, okay, like now mail comes into the house, everybody knows your mail gets delivered to you, whoever, you know, whoever, whoever you is, whoever you is. And then my own mail and all the flyers and everything get dealt with the minute I come in the door. So everything's opened. Everything's like the things that are actionable or on my desk, the papers that are going to be burned or burned and everybody else has their mail, they do whatever they want with it. But me, I'm like, nope, no mail ends up on my table anymore. Yeah, none. Well, and the nice thing about that is you can deal with it right away. And I know years ago when I was in financial stress, I'll say, I can remember not opening my mail. And you can tell I can tell when other people don't open their mail.
It's not because mail annoys you, it's because there's real life in that mail. And we don't want to deal with it. And I'm somebody who I have really learned to deal with everything. And again, I probably drive you crazy about that too, because I'm somebody who when something's not right, I want to deal with it right now, right now, right now, I want to unpack it. And then I want to be done with it too, because I'm just like cleaning out the covers. It's like, you know, sometimes you leave crumbs behind. Sometimes there's big crumbs, sometimes there's little crumbs. But that analogy is the same with the emotional energy in our body and the mental energy we take up with these things, you know? So I can remember years and like it was quite a long time ago, but I can remember it being in my car piled up on the floor. And I like my car meticulous today. The older I get, the more I like things neat and tidy. I like things in their own like space. Laura and I were laughing the other night because we're at a place in life where we have the things we want and need. And we have a little bit of, you know, room I'll say. But we just redid one of our drawers in the kitchen and we put spices in it.
And I was so happy to buy those spices with all the labels on the front and the side. And I know some people look at me like I'm crazy or like we're crazy. But certain things bring me joy. And now that I've gotten to this level of awakening and awareness and really love for my life, I really notice how much I like things in their own space and I like how things are clean and not cluttered. And I'm always sage in the house. I'll open a window at the top of the house and I'll start at the bottom and I'll or vice versa. And I do this very often. I, you know, and I caught the one off you where you always light a candle for everybody you're you're doing a reading for because that's a blessing for them and an energy channel. And I do that with clients now when they come in when I can obviously there's some places I work I can't like candles. But this stuff all one thing is connected to the other. Everything's connected.
And that's the whole thing is in our work, we would if we were teaching somebody, like you're teaching Reiki, I'm teaching mediumship, if we were teaching somebody, we would teach them how to cleanse the energy of a space, how to prepare the energy for what's about to happen. And then when you're all finished, you're all finished receiving and giving the energy, you then close the room. And sometimes you have to cleanse again if some big things happened, you know, and you want to release that energy. So this is the same with your home with your life. And if you are somebody that is in a space where you're trying to lose weight, I would say the worst thing you could do is hang on to a whole bunch of clothes that don't fit you. Right. Because what are you saying to the universe? That what's the energy communicating that you can't do it? You're not going to do it, you're going to gain it back or you're not going to yeah, like the energy is communicating that you are saving those for like a future date. So it's not right now.
Yeah. You know, and I don't I'm not talking about like one pair of pants or something. There's people that don't throw out anything, right? Like they keep all everything from, you know, oh, I wore these jeans in high school, like don't do that. Yeah. You know, don't hang on to things that don't make you happy, you know, or don't bring you that happy feeling or memory. And I can, like with, you know, all of Piper's things, I can hold on to her collar and I can say, yeah, that, that feels happy to me. But then I could pick up like we were talking about her bed and I can pick up her bed and say that doesn't make me feel happy because she was so sick that she couldn't leave her bed. So these are the things you need to think about. You really need to allow your energy to connect. And you know, if you, if you begin to do these things you start to, it does like everything's connected and it all goes into other parts of your life. So then we get into like healthy practices.
So you start to go, hmm, I eat this food and I don't feel very good. Or, you know, I, I'm not, I'm not as appetized by certain foods, you know, because your body starts to respond to the fact that you're honoring, you know, you're honoring your energy, you're honoring your sacred temple, and you don't want to put shit in there anymore. That isn't good for it. Exactly. So that starts to like bleed into other things, you know, it bleeds into exercise, movement. Oh, if you can move and you can have exercise in your daily life, that movement creates energy movement. If you are feeling stuck in your life, get out there and go do something, you know, go for a walk, go for a walk on the beach.
I don't care if you go play pickleball, just go do something because the movement of doing something helps move that energy through your body. And oh my God, we are the crankiest people Kim and I, if we do not get outside, it's bad. And like Kim will look at me sometimes and she'll say, we just need to go move. Like we need to go for a walk or something. Yeah, I'll say, or I'll say, what's on, what's the plans for tomorrow? And you'll tell me and then I'll go, okay, good, we're going to the beach in the morning, we're going to grab a coffee and a scone and we're going to hit the beach and we're going to walk the beach and we're going to, it's like, it's like a two for one the beach because I think there's an energy off of the beach that you get that, that just makes you feel amazing. Yeah. And then the sun, the fresh air and you get the physical walking and just, I think it makes everything easier.
The more you keep in balance with all these things we're talking about energetically, it's you find you have more energy and more energy and you're happier and it's expansive. So it's not just that, oh, I feel better because the house is clean. It's, it does something there's a lot, there's a logically to you and you go, wow, I don't know, let's go for a walk. I want to get outside. I wanted this. I wanted that. It's more if you have tons of stuff in your house and you have tons of responsibility and you have a whole bunch of things you don't need. And then you're, you're dealing with letting go of maybe a toxic relationship of some type or maybe a toxic workplace. Think about how many cords of energy are coming from you attaching to all of these things and people. And you are tired because you are literally drained whenever I think that's what it was with the antique stores. I'm like, I don't want to connect with any of this energy. My energy, I want to connect to the things that help me and help others. I don't, I don't want to connect to all, you know, so and so, you know, had to work until they were 85 because they couldn't afford food or whatever the story is of the item. So I see us as like
This ball of energy and when, you know, if you remember, like when you were a kid and they did science labs and elementary and they brought in that like energy orb thingy, the static electricity thing. And then you put your hands on it and yeah, and all the little like streaks of energy would go to your hand and then it would make your hair stand up and all that. Well, that's what I think about each of us. We're like these little power plants and we have all this energy. We're like an energy, you know, orb walking around, but then you connect your energy to all these things and some of them give you energy back, but some of them drain you. So we're trying to do the spring cleaning on the stuff that drains you. So you have more energy for yourself. Well, think about where we are right now in history with everything that's going on down below us. And I feel sorry for, for people living in the States right now for what they're going through. It can't be easy. But I mean, energetically, this is partly why I don't put anything in my head or my body that I don't like the way it feels. So that's why the news and everything all I do is I detach from it. And, you know, sometimes people say, well, you know, you should know this stuff and you should know that. And again, I say,
I don't put things in my head that hurt me. You know, I went through a lot of life where, you know, we felt hurt until we knew how and what to do with that energy because that takes a lifetime to learn, you know, what to do with all that, right? And that's a good point. Like, you can't do anything. I love you. You can't. Well, oh, yeah, right. But I just want to say, you can't do anything about your situation until you're aware of what the problem is. Right. So we're not, we're not going through this checklist to make you feel bad about your life. We're going through this checklist to say, if there's things you're aware of that you know you can change, that's that's where the universe wants you to go. Oh, and I think that time is the best healer of everything. You know, I, I, um, I've struggled with my relationship with my father all my life, but the older I get, the more I see how much I'm like him in all these beautiful ways, you know, like he, he loves feeding birds. He loves gardening. He loves outside. He loves figuring things out.
And I really do love that about myself that, you know, I sometimes we choose hard lessons, but the benefit through walking through them and standing up for yourself and saying, Hey, this is who I am. And this is how I'm going to walk through this life, no matter what anybody thinks, because I know what I'm here for. I know what my job is for my job within what I do and how I attach myself to people and to energy and the universal consciousness. But I also have learned what to let go of energetically. And just recently you and I had to take a break. You know, I think this is the first time in my whole life I didn't celebrate Easter and we didn't do a big dinner. We took the time off for each other because, you know, we're moms and you know, my kids are in New Brunswick, Laura's kids are here.
We have both the families. There's lots of times we'll have a big Christmas dinner here with all her family and then literally the next day. And we're not talking that we make like some little thing. We're talking four and five pies, hams, turkeys, whatever needs to be done. Like, we don't just do one thing. We love that whole while we love the energy of creating this beautiful dinner for people we love. And then I've seen us go home the very next day to New Brunswick to do it all over again. And we we do those things because they fuel us. We love love. We love our families and stuff. But sometimes we're trying to be everybody's everything. And then what happens energetically to us, we get to bleed it. So we have to, we have to really pay attention to this energy thing, because it can be really good.
And it can be really hard on your, your body or psyche or everything. When you are in a place of need, it's so important to trust. And that's what we did this past holiday weekend. We just trusted we could not. There's no way we could take that, the energy to do a celebration when we didn't feel right. And we needed time. And we feel what's coming too. Yeah, I definitely needed some time to myself to process everything. And we don't, you know, we don't often take that time. And I've talked about this to clients before. I don't know if I've talked about it in a podcast, but you know, we're not built to be completely flat out working all the time. We are built to, if you think about the seasons, right? So think about the seasons that we go through.
Spring is new growth, rebirth, right? I love spring. So that's, that's a phase of life, rebirth and new growth. Summer is growth, like just expansion, right? So we can be in that, we can be an expansion of growth and as humans and work and work, but then what's fall? Fall is death. Really, like, you know, the trees, the leaves fall off the trees, the plants start to die. It's a natural cycle. But in death, we process, we integrate all the things that we, from our rebirth and from our growth in the summer, we start to process in the fall and we can integrate all those things that we learned. Then what's winter? Rest. Rest and repair. Rest and repair. And how many people actually honor those, that cycle, maybe not specifically tied to the seasons, but that cycle within themselves.
And sometimes you do just need to rest. And sometimes you're in a growth phase and you're producing like crazy, but you can't be in the growth phase all the time. And that's what our... But you need to reflect. So that's one thing I love about the winter is that you, in reflecting, you, you think about things you haven't thought before because you were too busy. So then in the reflecting, it's like all this new awareness comes in and sets you up for new creativity for spring. So I love how the season, I love every season and I love how each one sets us up for the next one. Yes. And we live in such an achievement-based society that so many people come to me and they say, well, what's my purpose? Like I didn't do anything. And I'm like, but your purpose is what comes to you naturally. It's what you experience day to day. It's what you feel driven to do. And it's not connected to achievements. It's not connected to the fact that you, you know, did some education or you had some career or you got some award. That's not your purpose. And so I think people get achievement and purpose mixed up. I agree. And we're not, we're not meant to have, you know,
This achievement-based purpose. Some, some people are and some people aren't. Some people go out in the world and they say, well, my purpose is to be a doctor, but maybe that wasn't their purpose at all. Maybe being a doctor was just the vehicle that got them there. Right. So they had an urge to help people and becoming a doctor allowed them to help people. So that's the same with me. I had an urge and a passion to help people and inspire people. So I'm doing it through my intuitive ability because that is what comes naturally to me. That's an ability that I have that I can use it. So we, I mean, we're fallen into a purpose talk here, but, but I think that we get really confused by not taking the time to process and integrate your life and not, you know, taking time to like actually give yourself a little bit of credit for all the things that you've done. And then what happens is we're stuck in this cycle of doing, doing, doing. And then of course, everything in your life starts to kind of clutter up and the energy piles up because you're not actually stopping to deal with anything. You don't even know what to deal with because you're so busy achieving stuff. Well, and there's, there's
A real healing component to this too. Right. So when you can't deal with things within the body, like I see people all the time, something happens in their life. And it could be the simplest thing. You had this little argument, you didn't agree on something. And then you never talked to each other again. And I go, well, to me, it's like so silly because I've had big issues I've had to talk about with people for all my life. So I don't really understand why people do that to themselves. If the relationship is important enough, I think a lot of people will try to work it out. But you know, there's so, but there's so many times I see this because you know, I'm, I'm really somebody who observes people all the time and I watch people and I think it's so sad to me that somebody will hold on to something they're really good friends with somebody and then something happens and they don't agree on it. But then they instead of just sitting down and saying, Hey, this is how I felt and I'm really sorry if I didn't hear you or whatever and dealing with it. It's like they don't want to look at the other person.
They don't want to talk to the other person. Things are awkward, you know, and you just to me, I just go, wow, what a waste of your energy and you're telling like make a big deal out of nothing. Yeah. And everything is energy to me every single thing we do and we think of. That's it. I'm so glad you're talking about relationships because that's the next piece to this is you have relationships in your life and you, you know, you get signaled when they're starting to go down the wrong path. Some of your signals might be actual anxiety like feeling anxious when the person's around or feeling anxious if you know you have to be with them or talk to them. It's, it's a real thing like your body will start to let you know something about this isn't right. Like you're not feeling right. If you don't feel heard, if you don't feel like the person is taking time to listen or understand you or maybe they don't have compassion for you. Maybe it's worse. Maybe there's dysfunctional behavior. Maybe there's abuse, whatever. But you know, you are signaled within yourself when something is out of alignment and when something's not right. So I'm, I'm not the type of person that believes you should give up on people. But I also, I'm not going to, you know, continue to try to fix something when somebody doesn't want it to be fixed. So there is a balance in
Between there and you have to find your own balance. But I would say if you know there's something wrong in your relationship, this is just like clutter. Like if you're a person who needs to put, if you're like me now and you need to have all the garbage in the garbage can and you need to have, you know, everything sorted and dishes put away and all that. If you, if you have to do that, then you have to understand to that in your relationship, there's things that you have to deal with too. And you have to clear up the clutter. So talk to your people, deal with it the way you need to. And if they can't respect your boundaries, then maybe it's a signal to move on, or maybe you just need a break from the person. But even the energy of being in toxic relationships can weigh you down. Oh, it's, it's just like having a whole bunch of junk in your trunk.
Yeah. Or like, are you trying to carry it all around? Like wondering why you're tired all the time when you have to deal with this difficult person in your life, right? Yeah. Yeah. And then same goes for like workplaces, like, you know, if you are forcing yourself to get up in the morning and go to work, you probably need a change. Right. Like you, you shouldn't have to like force yourself to get out of bed and force yourself to, you know, get ready, take a shower, you know, all those things to go to work. And I know, because I've been there, I've had jobs that I had to do that. And so I think everybody's had one of those jobs or, you know, but that's your signal. That's your signal you need to change. You need, you know, you need a spring cleaning there with your work. And maybe you're a boss and maybe you have people that work for you that is just not working anymore, you know, then that's your, that's your signal, your time, you got to change something. And people are afraid to hurt people and all that. But at the end of the day, most people would rather that you were truthful with them, told them the truth, got it out in the open, and then move forward. Well, and I've always been one of those believers, like spring cleaning, fall cleaning, you know, your spring is preparing you for summer, having time to go do things you want to do and get outside more. And I always feel like if
I'm prepared, then I have the summer off in the sense. Obviously I work and all that stuff, but I feel like I have more space to do the things I want to do and the same thing with the fall, it's like cleansing the air, cleaning the energy, changing the energy. I always, my grandmother used to say the the wind was to blow the stink off you, right? So I always thought, you know, fall is a time to prepare for winter. And what do we want to do in winter? A lot of people travel in the wintertime, they take time to nurture themselves. So, you know, these things are all connected. And I just, I love, I love anything that we do to talk about cleansing, because I think about this house and how the guy that owned it was always hanging around and he was, the house was so sad. It was so sad and drabby and, you know, and he just had a full of stuff. And the more we cleansed the stuff and fixed it and made it new again, I'll say, and gave it life, it just, it took on its own energy. And then he was happy and then he could rest in peace. He left after we, well, we kind of sent them off, but you know, we did let them be here for quite some time. Yeah, we let them be here for almost a year.
And then we did a big cleanse. And when we did the big cleanse, we felt them go. Yeah. But yeah, that's the thing. Well, we, me and Kim have always been the people like cleanse the houses, you know, cleanse yourself, cleanse your horrors, cleanse the cars. Like, we've always been those people. And I know, like I've talked to some people about it that don't understand it. And they're like, I don't, I don't get what you're doing. Like, why are you wasting your time? But it's, it intention is powerful. Intention is power. And if we don't cleanse the things around us, energy just stays stagnant. So if you're feeling like a little stuck right now, a little bit stagnant, just go clean something out, you know, and see how it makes you feel. Do like a physical clean of something, but then do an energy clean. So you can use like a nice essential oil, you can use a crystal, you can use salt, like a salt in a little dish, you know, will help cleanse a room. And then you just after a month or so, you just get rid of it. Flowers, fresh flowers can help cleanse a room.
So sage saying lighting a candle and just saying an attention to cleanse will help cleanse the energy. If you don't direct the energy, it doesn't go anywhere. So just think about how you're going to direct it. So this is the thing moving into a spring cleaning. If anybody's listening and they want a little bit of guidance, like how do I, how do I cleanse my aura or how do I cleanse my home or whatever? Just send me an email laurawarrenmedium.com or laurawarrenmedium.com. And I will or through the website, I'll send you some host cleansing tips tips, yeah, and some aura cleansing tips. But we, if Kim and I are preparing for something big, we would do like, we do like a sea salt bath, we might do some smudging, we make sure we're grounded. And we might use something else, like I said, like crystals or essential oils to kind of clear the energy.
Sometimes we use all them. And then we talk, we talk to the universe. And we ask for what we want or what we need. So that's kind of how we prepare for big things. But we also do regular, like host cleansings here on the property, we do the whole property. I even do the, my, um, my shell that I do my sage in, I leave all the ashes and the wooden sticks because I always use wood, we both do. But when I cleanse that bowl, it is a sacred little ceremony. I will use it, I will have a fire outside where I will put most of it in, but I'll always leave a little bit of ash. Sometimes I leave more of the ash to sprinkle over the earth to give the blessing back to the earth and say, thank you. And if it's winter, I'll do it in my wood stove and I'll do a little ceremony. Everything in my life, I do use ceremony because it's honoring and it's gratitude. So the more I put into something, the more I get out of it. And it's just like when we're talking about attracting abundance, you can't attract abundance with energy to stuck and cluttered because it has no flow.
Where's it going? Yeah. So intention, what do you want? Right. And letting go of these things, releasing the energy back to the universe, grounding it into the earth, that's going to help you so much doing the cleansing, actually having an intentional like cleanse and then gratitude. I love gratitude. Well, because I've watched like both of us do this, but we always give a blessing back when we do a cleansing. And so Kim has used sacred tobacco to cleanse and give back to the land. And we've given what gifts we kind of are told to give back to the land for letting us, you know, use it, letting us be here, letting us prosper. So you're doing, like you're sort of, you're doing that cleanse, but you're also making sure that the universe knows that you're grateful for all the help you're grateful for the position you're in, you're grateful for what you have and where you're going. And that gratitude, it carries you on, it carries you on until the next, the next time, the next thing you have to cleanse from. And if you have major changes in your life, it is time to look at some cleansing, or if there's big things that you want, you have big dreams and you want to move forward in your life, you need to make space for that. You need to let go of the clutter. And that means energetic and physical clutter.
Because it creates flow and flow creates abundance. That's right. We need that flow. That's right. All right. Well, we'll talk to you next week.
