Hello, I'm Kim and I'm Laura and today we're talking about is your energy ready for the new year? Yeah, we're going to get back to some energy basics so that you can maintain your energy. You can feel like you have all the skills to keep your energy in check. Well, and this is a pretty big topic too, because it affects every aspect of our life every day. And going into 2026, we know that this year is a huge shift in awareness, a huge shift in the way that we want to do things the way that we want to live our life and the people that we want around us. So we know that this is important. So we want to help prepare you want to help prepare you for this shift. Well, and I think another thing is everybody starts off the new year, you know, with gusto, you know, they're going to do it. And then, you know, one of the funny statistics is I just was reading something the other day that said everybody makes a new year's resolution on January the 1st, but guess how long it takes to break it? I know a lot of people break it the very next day, but I mean, on average, we're talking about everyone. It's January the 18th.

January the 18th is the give up day. Yeah, it's the give up day. Everybody gives up. But I think that the thing to remember for me is I try to be as positive and happy as I can be. And I shouldn't say try. It's I like feeling happy. I like feeling joy. I like feeling prepared. And I think that's more of what today is about is we want to connect with you and say that, you know, the better prepared you are and the more ready for action you are and the accountability with those two things is what's going to create your success for 2026. Yeah, accountability is big. Yeah, I think that's a big topic right now. Yeah. And we, you know, Laura and I are in this field and everybody thinks it's all rainbows and butterflies for us, but we actually I find that the difference is when you're in it and you're an awake aware person, you have to keep like it's stuff is coming at you with your children with your family members with friends with pets like it's so encompassing that I kind of feel sorry for parents today in one way, but in another way, we need to be more prepared. We need to be paying attention. We need to be in action. You know, if there's something that you don't

Like about your life, what are you willing to do to change it? Yeah, what do you do? What are you prepared for to create the happy that you want for yourself for your your loved ones for your friends for your clients? Well, yeah. And parenting is really preparing your kids for life. So what, you know, sometimes we have to look and see like, are we actually, are we setting them self? Are we setting them up for success? Like, are they going to be able to handle the challenges of life? And we have to be very careful because we live in a time where, you know, we have to be so careful about language and, you know, how people feel and are they okay? And I get all that, but listen, the reality is we're just not always okay.

Right. And it's okay to not be okay. It's okay to not be okay. But if we're if we jump right into this, and then we'll kind of lead ourselves through all these. But the the first thing I want to talk about is, to me, it's very important to be grounded. You know, and for me, I the ways I'm I stay grounded are I check in every morning with myself, and I kind of go through a body check where, you know, what am I feeling? What's the day going to bring? Where do I have to show up? What what am I expecting of myself for the day? And as I go through my day, one of the things I do to be actually grounded is I have to be outside for a little bit, or I need to grab the guitar and play and, you know, sometimes I'll just go in my treatment room, shut the door, and I'm just playing for my own self. It's it's something I do it feeds my soul. It makes me happy just to sit and play, you know, and I don't know, Laura, what's some of the things you do? So grounding, like for me, like what Kim's talking about, which I, I like for very personal grounding, you know, to do things that just make you feel like completely centered and yourself. So it is sort of like

It's some of the things that you like to do. But I find when I am ungrounded, I'm so met like confused and foggy and just can't really think straight. So I I don't think about all those best things that I should do for myself. So when I'm in that state, I know that the only way to get out of it is to get back into nature. So if I feel kind of confused and foggy, and I can't, you know, I just can't seem to like get myself together. If I have time, I try to go to the beach. If I don't have time, I just make sure I go outside. So even just being out in the yard, breathing fresh air, noticing the trees, noticing the birds, you know, feeling the wind and like listening to all the sounds of outside, there's something about that that just brings me back to center. But if you can't, if you can't get outside, one of the quickest ways to ground is actually just take a glass of water, hold the glass of water, put the intention in the glass of water that you need to ground and drink the glass of water right to the bottom telling yourself that when you're done, you'll be grounded. And the water itself will ground you, but also your intention can ground you as well. And there's visualizations

You can do. Like I really like I have one that I use myself. A lot of people talk about the tree and tree roots and kind of imagining that you have tree roots coming from you that go down into the earth. And that's a really simple one. But mine, it's, I imagine that I have cords of energy that come from my feet, and they go down into through all the layers. So actually visualize like the layers of the floor and then the concrete of the house and the layers in the earth. So like, yeah, going through the rock and the soil and the clay and, you know, until I get to like what I perceive as the core of the earth. Now I know the core of the earth is really hot and everything's, you know, but, but I visualize a place deep in the earth where there's a stone or a big stone that I tie my energy cords around. And once I do that, I follow the energy cords back up to my body. So that's a good one. I never thought about the actual tying down because I do that same process. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the cords, I like, I actually see myself like tie them around the rock and tie the knots and everything. So for me, that's, that's what I do to ground. But you can sit with a tree, like just touch a tree and feel

Grounded. You can sit by the ocean and feel grounded. I love the sound of the ocean. But like, as Kim was talking about like, she plays the guitar, or she might like meditate and like, or dance, or dance, or like dance, or like to center yourself and just get in touch with your body. These are all ways of grounding. You can use other things like we have grounding mats and, you know, copper, copper jewelry, copper mugs to drink out of. You can use all those things to even crystals, oils, like some essential oils are really, really good for grounding. I typically, I kind of go towards frankincense. I love patchouli, you know, so a clove, these are all oils that are that are can be very grounding, the scent, even certain types of like, if you use white buffalo sage, to smudge or polo santo, or cedar, or sweet grass. I love sweet grass. Yeah. Sometimes I do all of them. So there's, there's so many things that you can do. I think the key for grounding is to do something that brings you back to center, brings you back to who you are, brings you back to a simpler place within

Yourself, and makes you feel like you're whole. I, that's a good analogy. Sometimes that when I go out into the water, and that's one of the reasons why I swam in the ocean all year for so long. And I haven't been doing it as much lately, because I've been busier. But one of the things I love about swimming is floating. When I'm floating, there's something the weirdest thing happens to me where I just feel like I'm connecting to the whole universe and everything in my head shuts down. I'm just one with the earth. And I always find that so such a freeing activity for me because I just zone out sometimes to the point where I'm like, um, how far out did I float? Right? You know, I'm, I'm always in awareness, but because I have no fear sometimes, depending on what body of water I can travel a little bit further than I wanted to. Yeah.

But for the most part, I don't, I don't do that. But the thing I love about whatever form of grounding we're doing, it's true, we're becoming one with source universal consciousness. We're letting the humanness of us evaporate away so that we can really get inside of ourself and say, how am I feeling in this moment? And what do I need to do to maybe feel better? And one of the things with me is I don't like, I don't like the drastic shifts of energy. So I like to keep my happy jar full. Even sometimes I'll just think of things that I love. My relationship with you, my relationship with my kids, with our grandkids, with our friends, like, I'll put myself in experiences to also knock myself out of where I'm at. But I'm somebody who I would say I am a little more, um, I don't know what the word is I want to use right now. But I really work hard on this part because I don't like the feeling. Yeah, you're dedicated, very dedicated. And it's because I don't like the feeling of not feeling grounded or not feeling happy, because I've thought those ways before in my life. But I have a choice as to this beautiful precious energy I'm carrying

Around. And to me, what I'm connected to is beautiful too. So I just like to keep that flow. That's, you know, that's the awareness of the choice and the awareness that you have the power to change. And a lot of people, I think they maybe they're kind of a victim to their circumstance. They don't quite understand that they do have the power to feel better, to make a better choice, choose a better feeling. And really it starts with that, it starts with that awareness that wait a second, I can, I can do this. I can choose a better way of being I can feel better. Well, I think if we're being honest, one of the things about the world right now is I see all these parents and they're struggling to just do the simple things day to day with their kids. And there's more anxiety and which leads to more depression and stuff like that. It's just like a never ending saga. But I feel sorry for parents because I feel like parents are trying harder than ever before to give their kids more. But I don't know if we're concentrating on the more that is the most expansive way to most effective. Yes.

And I think that we need to kind of look and get back to basics, just as we're talking about this groundedness, like pay attention to each other, you know, connect with teenagers right now. Teenagers. I just want to take my kids and run away to a firm. That's what I want to do right now. With a whole bunch of acreage where you can't get off of it, right? Is there anywhere simpler we could go? Yeah, you're saying something that I'd be like, yeah, let's go do it. Let's go take off animals, nature, simple. Anyway, I don't think they'd like me very much. Some parts they would like though. Yeah, maybe. So yeah, grounding to like, it's so it is so important. It is so it, it's this part of us that I feel like we've kind of forgotten in modern life. And if you think about what we are as humans and where we came from, and think about humans, early humans, like on the earth, they were outside all the time.

Right. They lived outside. Well, they told the time by the sun. Right. And you know, in the beginning, there's no shoes, you know, they their feet were always touching the ground. So they were always grounded. They were sleeping on the ground, you know, they were grounded just just by being well and they had to work for their food and they had to work. So you're physically exercising, exercising, moving. You're not eating any preservatives, chemicals, dyes, you know, like, so I think we really need to understand that grounding is is very important that everyone needs to find groundedness every day because it is our natural state. And, you know, really the science, the science geek inside of me, we really are an electrical system. And if you don't find ways to ground, you know what electrical systems are like, ungrounded, they're very dangerous, they're staticky, they're all over the place. So very erratic. So if you're feeling that way, if you're feeling erratic, staticky, confused, foggy, it's probably because you're ungrounded, it's probably because you need to get back to nature, get back to the simple things that kind of make you feel centered.

Absolutely. So let's move on to another one we were talking about with it, what we call aura cleansing, you know. So for me, one of the things that I do, especially when I'm working, because I work in another province and when I'm there, I'm cramming in as many clients as I can see because that's my home base. And every single day, I will see six to eight, nine people, right? And they're usually an hour, some treatments are longer, two hours, but you know, that's a lot of, that's a lot of people, that's a lot of energy. So I use the shower because the shower is very convenient for me. Oh yeah, I think with aura cleansing, use whatever you got, use whatever works for you. Water is, we use it because we gotta, you know, get clean, we gotta get the dirt off, the stink off, but actually water is very cleansing for the energy field too. Well, and I feel like I'm getting a massage too, because I can, that's how like connected and sensitive I am. I can feel the energy as the shower head hits the top of my crown chakra and go moves down my body. I literally feel the movement of the energy.

So I feel if my intention is to shake the shit off, then it's going to shake the shit off. Because that's my intention. And I feel it as soon as I ask, I feel it back. That's how quick it happens. And in the shower, there's this like, same thing as when you give confirmation and you have goosebumps. That's that same feeling of like releasing. So I love that. And I can't burn sage at the hotel because well, they'll think you're smoking in your room. And that so you can't always have the means that you, you like it. Well, I will say though, that you make a beautiful energy clearing spray. That's very good for your aura. Also, I have over the years developed anything that would fit into my schedule. Like if I only had time when I was working full time outside the home, and I only had time in the car when I was driving to work. And you know, sometimes you get stuck in traffic and stuff. So you get an extra five minutes. So I would, I would start my day with intentions for the day, how the day was going to go. But then I also would make sure that my aura was nice and clean and protected. And I use visualizations

For that and light. Yeah. So one really simple one is inviting light into your aura. That is a really simple one. Just inviting light in and saying, bring whatever is in my highest good, whatever supports me and whatever doesn't, you know, ask, you just ask the light to push it out of your field and neutralize it. And so that's really simple, really quick. But another one, you can think about your aura as like a big suit and reach up to the top and unzip the suit from the top to the bottom, take it off, shake it out and put it back on. And I'm telling you, it works. It works. I beat it. Well, yeah. And if listen, if nobody's watching, you can shake yourself. You can shake it off. And I used to have this yoga instructor years ago, and this was part of our routine and yoga that we would stand and literally go and shake it all out. I love that. And it does work. I don't think, I don't think we're silly as silly as we need to be. And I think that's one thing like, we need more like, we need more fun. Right. Yeah. And being silly. That's one thing about the grandkids that I love is it pulls me into that, that space where I can just be silly. And I think that's one thing they love because they'll be laughing so hard. The laughter creates more laughter,

Which creates more expansion of love. Like, one of the reasons maybe why kids are so open and free, right? Because they're just like walking around all the time going, blah, you know, it doesn't matter. And they can scream when they want to. That's right. They can scream. They can say whatever they want. Yeah. So aura cleansing is about that, but it's kind of funny that we're saying that like kids can say whatever they want. I feel like I feel like we often we build up kind of like cloudiness or blockages in our aura because we're not telling the truth. Absolutely. You know, because we're not telling people exactly how we feel we're holding on to too much. And it creates this like baggage, this build up the stagnant energy in the aura. So maybe thinking about going through your day, trying to figure out ways to be, you know, honest with people in a diplomatic way, so that you don't feel like your voice isn't heard or like you're holding on to things.

So the aura cleansing can be, can be kind of multifaceted because like Kim said, you know, definitely use that shower activity to cleanse your aura because I've done that too and it works really, really well and it fits into your day really nicely. You can also just visualize light coming into your aura. Like when you wake up in the morning sometimes just a real, like you said about stopping at a stop sign. One of the things I did that was massively helpful and only took a few seconds was at a red light. I just concentrate on taking a couple deep long breaths and slowly as slow as I could releasing it and then pulling it back in. It might have been one breath. It might have been three breaths, but it works and the more times you do it, it's like that, that book we listen to Atomic Habits where he says, even if you do something for a couple seconds, it's better than not doing it at all. And he even talks about how he trained people to get to the gym by making them go every day, even if they only walked in and got undressed, got on the machine and then left because you're breaking the pattern. So so many things in life are about breaking the pattern. So the more we think about the things we need within ourselves that help us,

You got to think it's very important that you take care of your energy. You're a parent, you're parenting these beautiful children. We're trying to bring up these beautiful kids and create this life for them of accountability and awareness and pay attention because if you're not paying attention, you're not just not paying attention to the hard stuff. You're not paying attention to the beauty in life, the possibility of life, the hope. So this isn't just one, this isn't one way. Everything we're talking about is there's different perspectives. There's different angles that we're looking from. Well, really what it sounds like, you're explaining it, but it sounds like just being present. And if you can, breathwork is so important for that, for staying present, but if you can stay present, then everything else gets a little bit clear. It's like everything else starts to fall into place and make more sense. Well, I walk through that. You start feeling better. So what happens to you? Well, I believe when you feel better, you start making better choices. You're building that energy up.

Yeah. You started using and picking things that fit you, that match you, that lift you up, but it's funny because the being present also means that you're not worrying about the past and you're not worrying about the future. And so all of a sudden things get really clear. And you're not worrying and not worrying about what other people think about you. Because I think your business. Yeah. Well, it just in the end, this doesn't matter too much. It doesn't. So that's it. Like we've talked about grounding and aura cleansing and being present and actually finding your center, you know, but there is something that's kind of really important here. And I should say too, with aura cleansing that because Kim and I are in this work, this is a major focus of our lives because we come in contact with other people's energy all the time. And part of our intention when we're with people is to help release energy for them. And sometimes you can't help it. A little bits of those energy gets stuck to your field. So Kim uses the shower at the end of a long day of clients. And sometimes I have different things that I do. And one of the things that I used to do sea salt baths a lot.

Sometimes you don't have a bath tub that's, you know, like free, ready for you to use. So if that doesn't work, I literally take sea salt and I'll rub it on my hands of my arms and then rinse them off in cool water. And that's my symbol to my field, to spirit, to my energy field that I'm releasing everything from the day. And sometimes you have to do that. Now, if I had, when I used to do, and I guess going forward, if I did this again, I would still do this. But when I went into people's homes and did home clearing and cleansings, and sometimes there's spirits there that aren't very nice, sometimes there's energy there that's not very nice. I would come home and take a sea salt bath. So just Himalayan sea salt, you know, a quarter cup in a full bath. And I just sit in it, no soap, no other purpose other than energy cleansing. Well, I think the other thing we forget to mention is that exercise is very grounding. It's very cleansing. It's all of the above because I know when I get frustrated, maybe I can't do what I want to do that day or whatever. I sometimes find that building, fixing, creating, walking, like anything that gets me out of that headspace. And for me, walking is a really great way to ground and release at

The same time. Right, because we don't realize our energy, like think about getting bottled up. So you get all this energy, and you're going through something really hard, or you're trying to figure something out, or you're trying to help somebody or you're got a loved one that's struggling with sometimes life in like directly somebody terminal. So there's so many things that can like affect our energy field. And the more we're aware, and the more we like really pay attention to what are the things that like work the best for you. And it doesn't matter, it's just about when I used to work out all the time I used to bodybuild, I used to love it because it just felt like every bit of energy in me was recycled 10 times, and as clean as it can get, right? So it just made me feel so good. And then I felt stronger, I felt taller, I felt more ready to take on the world. Now, you know, I don't do that right now, I'm hoping to get back into that for the same reasons. But you know, everything doesn't always stay the same when you're as you get older and stuff. But the hiking outside and walking is one of the things that it works really well for me or going to the pool swimming like we

Did yesterday. Yeah, like just water movement and water. And you'll find to like as you get cleaner, like you'll want better food, you want healthier food, you want healthier activities for your mind, for your spirit, you'll want to be around better people. That's a hard one too, because the other thing we were just talking about before we started, when we got online here, so many times when you're in this work, and you just think about it, I know we've had people say to us, oh, well, you know, we can't all be rainbows and butterflies. Well, we are not either. We're not. We're just as human as everybody else. We have to work really hard on being where we are. But it's about the process that you allow yourself the time to figure it out. It's about being kind to yourself. It's about realizing that we're all human and life is happening to all of us. But you can go through it bumping and grinding and falling and tripping and, you know, smacking yourself up, or you can listen to some of the things we're advising you on that will help you be better. Right. You know. Well, that's it. And I think we also have, we have a challenge as you are working on yourself and you're starting to feel better.

And this is something that's going to be quite highlighted in 2026 that you can't, you can't take everyone with you. And so you are going to continue to raise your vibration because it feels good because you like it. But that doesn't mean that you can, you can't dictate another one's journey. Another one, another person's spiritual journey is their own and they have to find it on their own. That's the, that's the issue is that we really can't, we can be, we can tell people in a way like, Oh my God, this is fabulous. Look what I just found, you know, or look at this amazing thing I did and look how great I feel. And you can, you can tell people, you can talk to people, you can scream at people. But they have to get there on their own. They have to get there in their own time and in their own space. And there's no way you can interfere with another person's journey. That is, that is kind of the spiritual journey is that everybody goes at their own pace.

And I like, I kind of like the analogy of a baby. I mean, I'm not saying any grownups out there are babies, but awesome. But when you think about, you know, what does it take for a baby to walk, you know, they have to have body awareness, they have to have balance, they have to have muscle strength, but they also have to have the awareness, the idea like, Oh, I can walk. Oh, this is easier than crawling around on the floor. You know, but those things all come together in perfect timing for that child to actually take their first steps. And in a spiritual path, we can't force other people to get there just as you can't force your baby to walk. You can guide them, you can support them just like babies, you can hold their hand, you can hold them under the arms and you can encourage them and say, you can do it, come to me, you know, but you can't actually make a baby walk. They have to do it on their own.

And it's so true with anybody in your life that you're struggling with and you will find it, the divide can be quite obvious in 2026. It doesn't mean that it's going to end relationships, it just means that it's so much more obvious. So your job is to again, encourage, support, listen, but you can't do it for people. No, not even, not even our, our partners, our kids, or, you know, you can't make it so hard because I was just going to say it because so hard Kim and I feel like we, we like have unlocked the secret, the real secret. Like, you know, I don't know if there's any Celestine prophecies fans out there, but in the first book, like, they're looking for the ninth insight the whole time, right? And me and Kim are like, we found it. We know what it is. Yeah, we're so excited about life and, and because we, we feel so good and we know that other people could feel good too, but it's, it's not a path that you can force anybody on. And so you can reach out your hand, but if they don't take it, it's okay. Yeah.

And sometimes you have to, one of the things I've noticed recently, because you know, we, like I said, we have our own struggles and we were struggling through some things in the fall. And what I noticed was when I pulled my energy back from the situation and I just thought, no, this is my boundary. And I'm not going over this line because I know this is how much I'm willing to give to the situation or help out or lend a hand or whatever, you know, the language I wanted to use, but this is as far as I'll go. And I, I started building that boundary up. So almost it was a wall for me. So that when I, when I knew I was crossing it, I'd be like, nope, no, no, no, pull back. The funniest things started to happen. Things started moving quicker than all the pushing and forcing and helping and trying to, you know, give the right information. It was, it was kind of amazing to me. I thought, oh, we are enabling and we don't realize it because enabling shows up in multiple different ways.

And it can trick you. Yeah. Right. And because you love, it could be your kid, it could be your partner, like somebody really close that's affecting you and you really want to help them. And you're trying every trick in the book. Sometimes the best trick is to say, listen, I know this is how you're feeling, but you have to realize you're choosing it. And I can't make you choose differently because this is where you need to be right now. But when you need me, I'm here. Yep. Exactly. You know? Yep. So I do feel like part of this like elevation, like I, I realize if you're listening to this podcast, you're already, you're already in the groove of moving forward with your spiritual path. And I know that there's probably a people around you that don't get it and they're not there. And maybe they're unhappy. Your only job is to make sure that you don't let other people take you off your path. That you don't let other people make you feel bad about you feeling good. So just remember that as you go forward this year, because they're the toxicity in your environment, whether it's people, whether it's like actual physical toxins.

Like I've heard a lot of people lately kind of be waking up and going, oh my God, do you realize what's in that soap? Or do you realize what's in that air freshener? Or like it's really getting strong. A lot of people kind of noticing these things because they're not feeling good. So they're like, Oh my God, did you see how much sodium was in that? You know, like that's kind of happening everywhere. So I'm my own walking radar system. So and I always have been, I remember people telling me, Oh, you should be in a bubble because you know, you're allergic to everything. And it was, they would put it as to me as it was a negative thing about me. And it really bothered me for the longest time. And now I have this incredible wife that's very smart and brilliant. And she says, you know, all it is, is you have an incredible system within your body that tells you that process thing is not good for you.

I can't even use hairspray. My body and the funny thing about me is I'm probably about 40 pounds overweight. And I don't really understand it all, but I'm okay with it because according to who I know, but you know, it's okay. It's my defender. No, but, but it is okay. But at the same time, you got to think like, yes, we have all these standards, but some of them don't match up. And honestly, I think Kim's going to live forever because anything comes into her environment into her energy field that isn't supposed to be there. Her system alerts her right away. Stop sign comes up and smashes it back in. So I've become very good at knowing that I, part of the reason why I make all my own products is because I take things from the earth and I make things with them that are going to help me. And then I extend that to my clients, but really, if I'm being truthful, I do it for myself because I cannot use chemicals.

I can't even tell somebody says, Oh, there, there, you know, I've been in contact with lots of people soap that they make homemade over the years since I've been making mine because I've sometimes sold it right beside them. And the funniest thing happens to me when I'm around soap that isn't all natural. My nose and my skin will itch and I start getting an allergic reaction. So that's how my system tells me something's good or not good, even with food. And a lot of the times I find sometimes when people don't like something like cilantro or the smell of lavender oil, it's the thing they need the most, but they don't like it because there's something in their body rejecting that thing they need. Don't you find so strange? Because yeah, they often like there is a theory around allergies.

Yeah. Like there's some food allergies that people say, well, there's something in that that you actually need. And that, that has been sort of like the push behind, I guess you call it like exposure, like with babies now, like that used to be, don't give your baby peanut butter until they're two. And now they're saying, no, you have to start introducing foods, you know, before sometime around six months, you have to introduce certain foods because they need to build up, you know, the ability to process them. And so we, we change and shift over the years with these things, but I feel the same way about this whole stupid hand sanitizer. Sorry, saying stupid hand sanitizer, but I think people have gotten so crazy with it. It's like, what happened to the days when, you know, we could just wash our hands, right? Like, right, you know, but me, I'm outside the earth and Laura knows this about me. If my hands are outside in the dirt, I'm not talking garbage. I'm talking earth, soil. I do not wash my hands because it's full of alkalinity. Well, and this is very good for you. Yeah, there's good, good flora, good bacterial flora in soil. So it, that's how, that's how, you know, plants and things are so, you know, well nourished because the soil has so much

Rich minerals in it and things so that, you know, it's good for you. It's good for you. It's just like, um, it's just like if you were, if your iron's low, you can use a cast iron pan and your food will absorb some iron from the cast iron pan and that's really good for you. So it's very similar to that. And I don't, you know, I think going back to what I said earlier about early, early humans, I mean, they, they lived outside. So they're in contact with dirt all the time and they were okay too. Well, and I think that's why so many of our kids today are full of anxiety and stuff is that they're in the house and they're not moving. So and a lot of them are, you know, I hear my clients all the time say my kid lives on the computer, like I can't get them off the computer. And, and in my head, I'm going, you can, you have the choice. You can unplug it, but you're afraid of what they're going to say to you. You're afraid of the reaction, but you know, if you're, you know, you're trying to save your kid, you have to be okay with what decision you make on how you do that. Right? Yeah. So, and I just think that even when we lived in our other house, we would walk to the ocean every day.

And I found that made such a difference with everybody's energy, right? Yeah. So we all have to, and, and we all are a product number environment, meaning, you know, we, Laura and I ourselves, we go through periods where we're so busy, we can't do some of the things we really want to do. And that's one of the things we always love to do is to take the kids down to the beach. We'd have a fire on the beach. We, we usually did it the night they came back because that's something else people struggle with today is, you know, I think 60% of the population are divorced. Yeah, lots of blended families. So we all have different ways of parenting. We have different ways of thinking the way we talk in our environment and our home is different. So, you know, we have to realize that our kids do have multiple different teachers in their life and people that are showing them different ways of being. And we have to take that into consideration as well, because we can't put blame on anybody, but we can make sure that we're doing the things that make us happy within our own little environment.

And, you know, just going back to, you know, the mindfulness piece and breathing and I, I teach in my classes and actually I'm writing my book right now about how to leave the blank space. And this is big getting really quiet, you know, within yourself. There are actually, you know, I'm just thinking of an example, I reading, I think it was, I'm not sure if it was untamed Glennon Doyle's book or if it was another one of her books, but she explained that there was a point in her life that she was so confused, you know, she had kids, you know, she was married, but she was unhappy and she was just so angry all the time and didn't really, didn't really get it, didn't really know what was going on. And she just got so overwhelmed.

And so she started, now this sounds kind of funny, but I do realize desperation and I do know why people do this, but she started taking 15 minutes a day to sit in the closet with the lights off, just sit there because she couldn't operate anymore where she was. And she didn't know, she said she first realized she didn't know who she was and it was scary. And some people might think, Oh, she's hiding. I don't, I don't look at that as hiding. I look at that as recalibrating. I didn't know who I was different points of my life too. And I, and I pride myself on, on that today. Yeah, take a beat. If you, if you're asking yourself these questions and, and you're upset with yourself, you don't know what you're doing, you're confused, you don't know where you are, what's your purpose, all these things, just take a minute, right? Take, take some time for yourself to be quiet. That means no phone, no stimulation, no nothing, just breathing. And you really, people say, Oh, that's meditation.

Not exactly. Because to me, meditation means that you, for some people, meditation means that you are still kind of have an intention. I don't think that true meditation has any intention. But I know, just to be, I know some people do it like, Oh, I'm going to meditate, I'm going to get an answer to this question or something. Competitive meditations. Right. But this is, this is literally just take off all the pressure. This is literally breathing with no other outside simulations. And you're just going within. So if you need some type of activity to get there, there are things you can do. And that's what I mean, I'm writing about this right now about how to leave the blank space, how to get to your inner quiet.

And I did develop some meditations that will be in the book about how to create your inner quiet. Because for me, I have a very busy mind. And I don't take a lot of time for myself. So when I need to get quiet, I need to actually have something that keeps my mind going in that direction without getting sidetracked because I get distracted so easily. Well, you're at a busy time in your life. Yeah, I got a lot of stuff going on, right? But yeah, leaving the blank space is important not only for you to find out who you are and where you are, but it's also important to leave the blank space for the universe to work for you, to co, to co-create with you. I love that because I'm in a place where I'm very grateful that I'm, you know, I'm 58 turning 58 this month, and my kids are all grown up. They're 30 and 36 have four grandchildren. And yes, I'm co-parenting with you, but I don't have the direct responsibility you have. So I do have this gift of doing exactly that I can be in that blank space.

And it's addictive. It's very addictive because when you get to that blank space, it's like, there's this direct line of communication between you and spirit, even though it's in the nothingness. It's in the blank. It's like, it's like, this thing happens where you fall into it and it, it encompasses you. Yeah. I think people are expecting like something to happen. Like they're expecting like some message from their loved one or spirit guide in that space. You're not supposed to do anything in that space. No, that space is supposed to be empty and free. There's so much freedom in the blank space. It's, it's the, it's the funniest thing because I've always been a very busy, busy person physically. So you're busy minded. I'm busy physically. I'm always building, fixing it. And the thing that I've learned, and a lot of the things I've learned have, you know, we're constantly changing. I'm not the same person I was even six months ago. And I won't be the same person six months from now, but it's, it's all of the learning, the in between, and it's in that blank space that I think creativity hits us too, because we have awarenesses in the quiet that we can't have in the chaos.

You can't hear past, I got to make supper. I got to this. Oh, the kids got appointment. Oh, this one's got that. Your heads are going crazy. But when you're in that blank space, it's like, everything is possible. There's no to-do list. Right. Yeah. And it is like, it is something that I'm so grateful for. If, if I could be honest in this moment, the thing that I love about what I'm realizing is that I can have it all. I can play in the garden and walk into my treatment room and either physically do a treatment of, you know, a healing session, or I can be online doing a coaching session. And sometimes you don't even have to be on screen. So I've literally had days where I'm fighting the dirt, and I literally come in, wash my hands, grab my water, grab my notepad. And, you know, I always have a few minutes to connect with whoever I'm going to be talking to.

But it's just, I really feel blessed to be in this life. And I've created my life my way. And now I'm finally sitting in it going, man, do I ever feel lucky? You know, because it even, I could just sit and watch the snow drop. Like, I just love watching the snow flakes land on the ground and look at the energy of the outside. All those moments are so important, like that moment of just like being, just being in that space. And 2026 feels like a rediscovery of who you actually are, and allow yourself to be surprised by that. Because sometimes who we think we are and who we actually are are two different things. And this year is really going to show you who you actually are. And trust me, there are some things that are going to surprise you because we're talking about, you know, busy lives and distractions and things taking you away from your true self. Well, 2026 is going to keep bringing you back to your true self because that's your lifeline, right? That's where you have to live. That's where you connect with yourself, you connect with spirit, you connect with the universe. And you can't

Connect to the universe when you're on the hamster wheel, you know, I think we also have to think about everything as energy. So if we're talking to somebody and they're exhausting a lot of our energy, we have to learn to go, you know what, this is draining me. So I'm only going to give this much, right? Because one of the other things that's happening in 2026 is there is this incredible new energy. I don't know what you guys out there, but boy, I can feel it already and it is beautiful. It's slower. It's calmer. It's bigger in the way that it affects you so much more because it's balanced. But there's still a whole bunch of cranky victim mentality people that want to pull you down and they want to like just cry the blues with you and listen, I'm as empathetic as the next person. However, I am somebody who I completely believe in accountability and I believe in taking ownership for where you are. And you can't sit in the room with me and go boohoo boohoo if you're not willing to do something about it because I'll just wash my hands of it and walk the other way until you're ready to make the steps of action to move forward. I'm just not wasting my energy and I don't mean that to sound the wrong way. It's just that's what my job is.

I think too, to realize that we talked about accountability and this goes back to that. I feel like most of us are good people. Most people are doing the best they can do. Absolutely. But until you engage in your own path, until you can see that you have your own power, I guess your own power on your own path to plan things the way you want. I love the quote, like you're the captain of your own ship. You're the author of your own book. You get to choose. You get to choose how this goes. And really, one of the biggest things, and I've talked about the slots, but man, just show up for yourself. Just show up for yourself. Just put in the effort. Like you won't be sorry that you invest in yourself ever. It's so important. And so now moving forward with this crazy ass energy that we got coming our way, know that you can always connect. You can always connect to what's real. You can connect to what works for you.

You can connect with what's best for you. You have the power and the choice to do that. And I'm sitting here, I should talk and just being like a little kid, like, oh my God, I'm so excited. This year is going to be so great. But every year is great. I think every year is just a different kind of great and a different, a different, you know, amount of growth. We're excited about it. You know, we're excited about it, but it's because we've, we already had the awareness that we, we have the ability to do hard things. We have the ability to get through hard things. We have the ability to choose what's best for us, what we want. So we have, we kind of have the upper hand over some people that feel like they're, they're a victim to their circumstance. No one is. Well, and I mean, let's be honest, I did a little bit of belly aching about living in another province and having to drive back and forth, you know, every month and sometimes twice a month to make a living in another province. And I was, I was in the moment. I was like a little kid. I was like, I'm not happy. Why does it have to be so hard for me? And, you know, I've done all these good things, but now what I do is go, holy shit for the last six and a half years, I've been making a living, going home to New Brunswick and making most of my livelihood there. And I've been doing it.

And here's the other thing it's created. It's created time on this side in my home in Nova Scotia to play, right? So then I go, oh, wow, if I, I look at Laura and I and go, we have been through so many hard things, but here's the beauty of it. It is built resilience. We are positive. We have this life that we've created for ourselves. We both love our work. We love our, our families. We love our friends, but it doesn't mean we don't have hard knocks, but we have created this life this way. So here I am now looking at it, going, I get to go home every month and see my kids and my grandkids and go pop into a game for my daughter or my grandkids or whatever. And I get to do that. Some people live so far away from their family. They can't. And I know that sometimes we all get in a place of belly aching. And sometimes there's, there's a reason for that.

We need to feel that way. But I am so grateful that I can do what I'm doing and that I have the privilege of going home and driving. I have the capability of walking. I have the capability of driving. I have the capability of making enough money to keep doing it. I could go on and on. Oh, it's like that whole thing where you realize like people go around saying, oh, I have to do this and I have to do that. No, you get to, you get to do that. You know, and that's where that mind shift takes place where you start to see things from the other side and be grateful in the place and being grateful is not hard. Just switch that one word instead of saying, oh, I have to go pick up the kids. I have to make supper. I have to take them to this appointment, whatever. No, you get to, there's lots of people out there that want kids that can't have them. There's lots of people out there that they can't drive for different reasons, or they're sick, or they have cancer, or they can't make supper because they don't have the money to buy the groceries. You get to do those things. So it's just a small change in your thinking. You don't have to, you get to. And then this whole idea, this energy maintenance that we talked about getting back to the basics of your energy field, getting quiet, being

Present. These are all things you've heard before, but there, you've heard them before because it's truth. And there's nothing, there's no real new information out there.
