Hello, I'm Kimberly and I'm Laura and tonight we're talking about you can't deny who you came here to be Well, I hope you don't deny who you came here to be in a way, but you know well Kim's not But a lot of people get stuck in this and they don't they don't really understand what's happening So we figured that we would spend some time talking about how you have a Natural energy like an energy of personality qualities that are natural to you and how they get beat out of you No, I'm just joking It's funny we're talking about this tonight because it's Tuesday night and Wednesdays when our podcast are supposed to come out and we've been busy beavers So we sometimes get thrown off by crazy but our bathroom exploded Yeah, our bathroom exploded two days ago and in two days from now We're going home to New Brunswick to grab the granddaughters and bring them back for a week And all you know how broke loose hair and full moon. What?
Yeah, we need we need a a bathroom because we're gonna have these two little beautiful kids here that And our bathrooms are over top of each other. So this is like strike three. So this is the third time We've had to have our bathroom downstairs the ceiling redone and here's the irony I always joke around and I think this is part of the topic tonight, too Is that you know, when you get to the place where you feel like you've arrived you really reflect on how did you get here? Yeah, what gave you the strength to get to this place where and when your bathroom explodes, it doesn't bother you That's what I was gonna say. You get to the place where you're not looking at the negative or what's hard about what's happening The experience is showing up in front of you to say hey look how far you've come or You need to pay attention or who knows what the reason but for us right now I think the biggest takeaway I feel is that we have come a long way To get to this place where we have just recently thought we were finished our Renovations we have renoed every single thing in this house new roof new septic new water system I mean the hot water tank the heaters. I mean everything has been replaced and I think the bathrooms are like pissed off
They're like whoa, wait a second everything else in the house looks nice and pretty and feels good. We deserve that So, you know, you do got to make it light of it because you know It happened to us the other day and we just kind of looked at each other and I was a little bit We just for like it's time to do the bathroom We're just gonna do it like and then you almost look at it Like it's an opportunity because that's the other side of what we're talking about tonight is part of not denying who You are is don't sell yourself short. Don't think you can't do the hard thing. Yeah, but this is again This is the thing is if you if we're gonna walk you through like how we feel about this But if you can get to the place where you are in full acceptance of yourself and you're you feel like you're on your path you're moving forward and Everything is authentically you you have so much personal power in that That and freedom that you don't feel it's like you don't feel like these issues are gonna take you down No, you know you you have strength because you are constantly recharging that battery of like your soul battery and What depletes us over the years many many things but lots of things take away from our personal power
And that's why sometimes a little challenge can come up and we're overwhelmed. We're stressed out We're having a panic attack because we actually have been kind of picked all the little pieces picked away for so long That we don't have enough of ourselves to really handle things well. So We were talking with this topic because Kim is in the bathroom. Okay, and she's taking down the ceramic tile And I couldn't help her much today because I was working in my office and I had clients all day And so I hear her in the bathroom and I hear the tiles I hear the hammer and I hear the chisel and I hear the tiles breaking and falling but then every now and then I hear ow, oh Oh, and When I had a break I came out of my office and I looked her and she had blood all dripping down her legs And I'm like what are you doing it like put pants on or something and she said I can't it's too hot in here Fall down and I said so I said so stop what you're doing and she goes I can't I I gotta keep going like so Here's the thing I know about Kim Is that she has a certain?
Gauge for how much she needs to do and if she doesn't do what she needs to do She is not okay Mm-hmm and so that kind of speaks to her personality and like she has said like We know we know how big Kim's energy is but over the years I have a witness so many people try to tell you To stop to slow down and then here's me this little voice inside of me go kind of screaming inside going No, she's not supposed to slow down. Yeah, that's not who you are Well, I think that's the hardest thing for people to understand and I've honestly and I'm not gonna lie I'm 58 years old. I've just gotten I Think the house working on the house was like my mental therapy and I think physical work is mental therapy for me I work through things when I'm working and I love to create life. I love I really am somebody You know, I'm not blowing smoke up anyone's ass. I'm just speaking truth. I I love anybody that knows me knows I love life. I love life. I I love people I choose the people I want to spend time with because you know, that's important to me My energy is important to me. My life is important. So I love everyone But some people, you know, you have to protect yourself from and it doesn't mean they're not a good person or whatever
It just means they're not right for you Well, because you want to be with people that are in full acceptance of who you are and not trying to tell you to Be somebody else. Well and think about you and I You know, we could we could use all the the funny puns because you know, you got a gay psychic medium and a gay You know, I I bisexual gay crazy lady who likes to do everything. Yeah. Yeah, we'll put you put you in the everything call Yeah, um, yeah, no, I just feel like how does this like this starts like we start as these little perfect beings innocent Innocent and trusting everything connected to everything that is the one consciousness source consciousness, you know and just totally open and Who are you when you're three years old? You are all the qualities that you have that's purely you like Children are pure. They're not they haven't been changed. They haven't been hurt or told what to do or programmed in any way It's they're just themselves. And so when I think about myself at three years old I remember doing some stuff that you know, I remember doing things that you know, my mom wasn't too happy about And
You know, I'm not saying you should continue to do some of these things. That's not what I'm saying But I'm saying that it spoke to my personality like it spoke to who I was So I will I will share this because my mom doesn't mind telling everybody this story but I was 18 months old and we were outside just you know, enjoying the fresh air sitting on the lawn and Mom says she turned around and I would and I pulled my pants down and was like facing the road like look at me you know, this is fun and She said she spanked me because you know, oh my gosh, that's terrible like cover yourself But I'm 18 months old. I don't know what I'm doing. I just think whoo. This is this is a new thing this is fun and mom said I did it a few more times, but when I think about like what that What that actually represents and how it like comes back to who I am There's a few other things. I have another story. That's not so cute, but But when I love this when it goes back to who I am I just think Not that you know, I feel like I should expose myself anymore, but it was not that it was that I was free right and I was just
Exploring and curious and I'm just a little kid. That's like what what'll happen if I do this, you know And no kid wants to wear clothes. Anyway, like side note, but but then there's or adult There's another story about me that is really funny that mom She left me with my grandmother to be baby sad And when she came back to get me apparently I was really mad and I wasn't very old like I'm still a baby and mom said I Leaned over and I bit her when she got back I was mad at her. Yeah, and I think those are like some there's some really key parts of my personality Like like, you know, they I was I was always like a really curious kid and really imaginative and creative And I believed of course like all kids I believed in everything, you know, magical and fairies and everything and And we had like a healthy dose because my family is Celtic, you know Celtic background So we had a healthy dose of superstition and all those like, you know, the ghost stories and everything So that actually all those things are actually like key parts of my personality But what happens, you know, you get older you don't express yourself as freely
No, you did when you were a kid because you've learned that that's not appropriate and that's not okay So as you get older, you're learning from your family from the people around you What's okay to do and what's not and what happens is it shuts down, you know parts of us I mean, maybe it's good because not everybody should be outside mooning the neighborhood But look at kids. They love running around naked, right? It's like a freedom. But that's it I think it's just like an it's a free expression. Yeah, yeah And what the message that you get is that it's not okay, you know, it's not okay to be free It's not okay. Yeah, possibly to be yourself not okay to be angry, right? Yeah, I should suppress those feelings. So That does affect you and most of us like our kind of core parts of our personality are pretty much intact Until we're like four years old or so and then they start to we start to learn. Oh, I'm not allowed to do that Oh, I shouldn't do that. I can't do that. And that programming starts to kick in so think about Ella your granddaughter Oh my god, I love that kid. She is a force like I'm talking this kid is like if she wants something like look out
Because she is gonna make sure that you know, she wants it. She might not always get her way But she wants to let you know that she is you know protesting So her personality is so like big big strong and she has a lot of big emotions She doesn't always know what to do with them. But when she's in when she's in her love mood Oh my gosh, she loved bombs you like no like nobody else and so you can see those parts of her personality But if she starts to learn like, oh, it's not really appropriate to do that Or it's not really okay or mom gets mad at me when I do this and it's gonna start shifting and changing her, right? So we go through a period Where we're learning we're learning our environment as a kid. Oh my god, that's your that's your safety, right?
Your parents your tribe like that's your safety. So you're not gonna mess that up. You need to survive Yeah, you need to be fed and housed your little so you have to play by the rules You know, you have to be part of that tribal law And so you go through the conditioning and the programming and the learning and then always around like nine ish nine years old your Your your openness is kind of noticeably like it's noticeably gone Like you don't have the same openness that you once did and this is true for a lot of intuitive people like my I had a I had an event right at nine years old that opened me up further But a lot of people will say that they had Experiences with spirit or with their intuition or their psychic ability Before they were nine and then after nine not it's not so easy for them Hmm, so I guess that that kind of age is like the age where we lose some of our innocence I guess you could say and then depending on our experience up until that time obviously, right?
Yeah, because for some people they wouldn't have had a lot of challenge up until nine Yeah, but for some people wow, they would have lived a whole lifetime by the time you're nine and true And that this is just something I've heard from so many people Clients and other psychics other mediums other Intuitives that they were really wide open when they were kids and they want to get back to it They don't they don't understand what's happened. Why have they lost that connection? You know So yeah, that there's that shift and change our our I think there must be It must be some physical development to around that age that kind of changes things like maybe structure structurally in the brain or something because it is across the board a lot of people talk about this but Then we if you're you know, if you're open to it I think what happens is we try to become more aware. Hmm, you know, like I Here's this is funny because I know you had Like a belief in you for a really long time since as young as I can remember now I can't remember being three. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, now I can remember Unfortunately, I I remember a lot of I was wondering why but I remember a lot of like hard things
Yeah, I don't remember a lot of great things. I wish I did but I think because I was an oversensitive kid The way I viewed the world might have been different than the way my siblings did well I think this is interesting because You when we talk about, you know, your childhood and your development. I Know because you've said often that you always had a sense of self always and you always had that Strength, you know that you kind of could tell when somebody was doing something wrong Or you didn't want to be a part of it or you could see right through somebody right through them Yeah, like somebody's manipulation and some and most of them were really close family members They were siblings and parents and aunts and uncles or whatever, but it was like Profoundly like I yeah, I can remember going to church and watching some of my family members and thinking wow Like in my little head. I was just young. I used to think You know, what a good actor and that wouldn't have been my words But I would be seeing somebody act really good and happy in church So everything was tickety-boo in their life, but the minute we walked out the door, you know, everything started getting really real So, you know, but I always remember believing in something bigger than me
Like I always had this knowing that I was connected to something bigger I always had this knowing that you know not to take things so serious because somebody was always worse off than me and or You know somebody better was having it worse or somebody, you know, I really didn't have any Thought as to if this only happens to bad people or this only happens to good people I just knew people were different and experience and the way we thought was different I would say like you you had some of these kind of qualities probably from the beginning But then they're amplified and strengthened by your experience Because you had they're like your survival mechanism back and some to the point where I'm only learning about in my You know my years like recently I've really come to terms with a lot of things about myself that you know when I was younger I You know, I always find these things really amusing because I was always the kid that could do whatever I set my mind to like I was athlete of the year and I was you know Even valedictorian at my own grade 8 graduation. I played guitar and sang and you know and because my parents weren't really those parents like Like I am I'm there for every single thing my kids did my parents weren't that they were busy
And they were preoccupied by other things in life. You know, I was like mom had four kids I had to dad was always trying to find more work, you know feed four kids But for me, I was there at every single game and even practices So here I am and I don't think it's any big deal where you'd have people really making a big deal about Being athlete of the year year valedictorian and singing and playing like, you know, you think that's a pretty big deal I think that was a big deal. Yeah, I kid was doing that. Yep But for me, I never had that like that wasn't my reality. There was nobody there There was no parents there and and I was okay with it. I didn't sit around going oh poor me I kind of just knew that things just were the way they were so You know, and I've always been a very strong person, but now that I look back at my life I've I actually am a very empathic person very sensitive person Very nervous person that learned how to survive in very harsh conditions So this is the thing when we talk about this like topic is we can't we can't really completely compare to to you Because because you actually developed your sense of self a lot earlier than most people do, but but I do believe conditions well
I believe conditions an environment, but I believe some of it is your actual skill Right you built on the abilities that you came here with right, but the the environment actually pushed you to go through a lot of things faster and When I like kind of when we were talking about this topic and it came up because I said well Listen, you're born this way like people try to change you Why are they trying to tell you not to do this or not do that when that's who you are and I I was thinking back to how like the process and how we come to this place of being and I had like a whole Time of questioning Myself like when you go through most people when they go through like their teen years They have to have a new awareness of who they are and who they want to be in the world And so I remember that like I remember learning like I don't want to do that But I do want to do that, you know and watching people watching people by example and going well, I really I really enjoy school like I want to go to university You know, I don't I don't want to go another way like that's what I want to do and Deciding what kind of person I need to be to do those things and it's like
I think a lot of people do go through that kind of awareness process But then what happens like because you you can you can backslide Because and you're supposed to I think yeah Because you can like you get you might get married to somebody and maybe they don't like You know all those things about you or all those things that you used to do And so you kind of stop doing them because you're you know, you're married now And what do married people do and you're doing those things and you know, it's kind of like Everything is very external for a period of time And when you find yourself When you find yourself internally, it's like all those external Conditions and expectations start to drop away. Yeah And like I know it's We we kind of pulled like I we pulled this conversation out because Here's here's Kim always full of energy always full of life always busy Wanting to experience a lot of things Her soul naturally came here for that But we were wondering kind of why like why is it that so many people have pushed against that And there's probably lots of reasons I mean, I think one of the reasons is you probably your confidence in who you are
May make other people feel insecure. I guess that happens a lot. I didn't really I'm not paying attention, right? So for me, even when I was a kid I'm just always being me and I talked to my mom about different things and she said well You know, you were always the one that was paying attention To what was going on. I was always trying to calm the fires or and I paid a lot of attention to my Mother, she was the one that I more concentrated on But you know, I used to talk to her about and she said well, you were like having evil conneval's daughter for Like that's what it was like having you for a daughter because I was always hurting yourself I was always hurting myself. But in a way that I think now I know I was always trying to prove myself You know and I did that for a certain length time because I think that's normal for kids to try to Especially when there's a parent that doesn't give you a lot of attention or doesn't see you you you're going wait Hold on you're waving your hands in the air in the sense going I'm over here. Like you should pay attention I'm a really good person And uh, you know, it's like a benefit to get to know me because I believe we all teach each other things, you know I think that's that's the greatest thing about life and I look at my life and it's no secret that I've I've just never had a relationship with my father And you know, the thing that's the irony for me now is at 58
I have a lot of well, I have his best qualities And you know, and he doesn't know me at all. He really doesn't but it I look at my life and I go I could have complained about all this. Oh that that that was hard, but I really look at it and think I was so lucky to have the experiences I've had because if they've created this human being Then how lucky am I that I'm somebody who? I really respect my life. I really respect that I had to go through that I trust that I chose those parents For a reason and that they would teach me the things I needed to learn To go as far as I want to go in this life and You know, I want to be knocking on 99 But really I just I want to be here as long as my body and mind can carry me And I want to have as big a life as I can now some people I I can say at 58 I I have absolutely had a bigger life than a lot of people But that doesn't mean I'm done because I'm somebody who Just as I like to Retail the backsplash or learn how to make my own trim or Like my mind is always thinking in the way There's not a lot of thoughts like moment to moment
It's that I have the kind of mind that doesn't put like news and social media stuff and I don't put the doom and gloom. It's not in my head. So what's in my head is I see a six foot lighthouse and I go, oh, that's so pretty. I'd like to build one of them Or you know, I see gardening or I see something or I think about growing mushrooms and How healthy that would be or how growing my own vegetables makes me feel So I think about the experiences That create growth But what you're doing and what you're describing is you're describing a path forward and You know to have that path forward I think you really have to be in full acceptance of everything you are and knowing Being very very authentic to yourself and making sure you're doing the things that you need to do for you That the interesting thing is that you're Where you are and what you're describing is the you have the awareness of everything you are You've surrendered to that you allow that to be what it needs to be And then the moving forward means that you're never really stuck Right because you're always in motion moving towards the things that you Know are for you. There's a the the problem is that a lot of people get stuck in the acceptance phase
That surrender phase of everything that they are And why it's because somebody or people have told you that you shouldn't be that way That's not a good quality. We don't like that about you girls. Can't do that. That's another one. Yeah girls can't do that Well, that one probably pushed me a little bit Yeah, and so how like, you know when somebody is not in acceptance of who they are everything they are It's really hard to get for like move forward That's where people get stuck because they start to go wait a second, you know, I hate my job I'm not happy in my relationship, but You know, I I can't leave my job because whatever reason, you know, or I can't leave my relationship And then they're stuck because they're not actually honoring who they are or who they came here to be and they're not in a place of Accepting and surrendering to the fact that those things are not working for them Well, and that this is a like this topic could go on so many other angles too because You know, we really We really have to stop and we have to like Drill this down Because where does it all come from and how do we create? How do we Show people how to look at things from a different perspective because I know you and I talk about clients all time
Somebody's stuck. We don't use names or anything, but we talk a lot about our work And it's a sin to me that I see people come to You know either one of us both of us and they don't know what makes them happy because that's one of my biggest questions I'll say, you know What what makes you happy? What are the things in your life that bring you joy? And when when you're sitting with somebody and they look at you and they don't know how to answer that that really hits my heart It's really sad. It really is sad But it's because we're so programmed that we're being even if I think about my my last life like meaning this life But with my last partner You know, when we first get married and we're young we graduate We're secondary school whatever we're doing But then when we choose to get married and settle down and all that stuff You know a lot of that is programming because that let's be honest We know lots of clients that that's not really their thing And I've always had respect for people that if they want kids and they have them great If they don't want them and they don't have them great. It's their choice I've always known that I don't judge them for that Yeah, you know and that that's the thing like who are we to pressure anybody into a big life decision like kids like You know how many how many?
Grandparents are or like parents bugging their kid. They're at all kids about having kids like is that okay? I don't think it's really okay. You know like people should be In the space where they can have kids if they choose to it's such a big job You know it's such a big responsibility and it's lifelong You know do not make that choice for someone else for someone else's approval because you'll never be happy Right because if it's what you want, it's the greatest gift in the world But if it's if you're I have worked with clients And when I look at their astrology because astrology is always a good tool for me to understand somebody better Like quicker too, but I've seen people who I see it in their chart They should never have been a parent Not because they couldn't be a good parent because the the stress of doing a good enough job Overwhelms them to the point where they couldn't they can't function. It's like paralyzing. They're yes. Yeah, and because of that Every little thing becomes way too big for them. Yeah So when I look at people that are in my life that are parenting I give them a lot of slack because I know how hard parenting is now Parenting is like one of the greatest gifts. I've ever had I love being a parent. I love still being a parent I love being a grandparent. I love being a wife
And you know, I love all these things about life because it's like you're developing a different Like part of yourself, you know, and the more parts of me I can I can experience and grow that like I'm just that kind of person Right, but you know, I had It's funny for me because you really do love when somebody says hey listen I love the person you are and that's the only person I want you to be And I had a teacher that always treated me like that because people were always saying you got a Slowdown and you're doing too much and you're this and you're that and all negative negative And one of my teachers Jen, uh, johnson, she was my reflexology teacher I did many courses with her, but I I just always loved her from the minute I met her I just thought she was an incredible human being beautiful soul But one day just out of the blue. I'm just dropping her off And uh, because she used to work out of my center And I was dropping her off in town at her drive and uh, she looked at me and she just said Give me a hug and stuff saying goodbye and she goes you are never going to slow down and you're not meant to And to me, I almost wanted to say thank you for giving me permission And my wife does that for me all the time because Sometimes I'm in so much pain that I'll lay in bed and go. What am I doing?
You know, because it's like sometimes I feel like my personality's like somebody who you know wants to beat her head against the wall every once in a while, but what I've learned is that I can't help the fact That I feel like in this lifetime I want to experience everything So I feel like a five-year-old in a candy store And I'm going to test every flavor And the toffees are going to take me longer to eat. You know what I mean? Like I just can't help it I know it's a part of my makeup. I know it's a part of who I am And uh, I I just I want to have as many as I can have and when I leave this world And uh, you know, I'm gonna be like I did it up. Yeah I know I had a friend once that used to say when I when I die and I get to the other side I want to slide in sideways late dirty injured all used up You know, I want to use I want to use up this life, right? And it's so true like what what are we here for?
We're not here to keep ourselves in pristine condition and to not do anything You know, well, let's let's look at just yesterday You know yesterday Laura's birthday was on Friday and we always have like a celebration week if we can You know, we'll take a couple days off and we'll we'll just extend the birthday So, you know yesterday was like the day three of fun activities and we booked going to Uh salt air To we bought a spa and we got there and it's an hour and 40 minute drive but we got there and there was A bunch of people I've tied and there was a fire and it was a stupid thing It wasn't like the building was on fire But the because it was so windy the composite chairs blew against the fire pit And it was propane fire and it blew it caught fire and blew up So of course they had to shut the place down So we just get there and I mean it's a my old self an hour and 40 minutes I might have been a little bit upset But because you and I enjoy each other's company, we don't really care We're going to make the best of everything and we we have that Like they couldn't help it. It's like, you know, it's yeah, they're not doing anything Yeah, so it's not like they're they're doing something to us. Yeah So we went inside and they gave us a you know a free day to come back and and
You know all day another time So we made the best of yesterday and we went down You know and we went out for lunch and we went to a beach and we went for a walk We anyway, we just had a really awesome day Because we didn't allow that one little what somebody would call bad experience A fact that's because why you know, if we say we trust what we came here to do and who we came here to be Why are we giving ourselves a hard time at every every Yeah, and how do we know that it wasn't exactly what we needed to go walk that beach and just to take it easy How do we know like maybe the spa wasn't the best thing for us to do for some reason, you know that day But yeah, I just think the the most important thing is to to pivot from these experiences like when things go wrong Why would you let that ruin your whole day? That's just and Kim and I don't operate that way You know, you know, that's that's an unfortunate incident. Well, we're going to pivot We're going to find other things to do Yeah, and that's the thing about this too is that just because maybe You're feeling like you're not really living in your personal power or your authentic self Doesn't mean you can't get back there. Right. It doesn't mean it doesn't mean sometimes you're going to have things in your life Shake you up and you're going to forget who you are in a moment
Maybe you won't always stand up for yourself the way you should But that doesn't mean that you can't try again and you can't correct it and I was just going to say there's yeah, right So we were kind of saying like what happens when people have lost like their idea of their identity and their true self And one thing that I I often will give clients to do when they're struggling with this Is to spend 15 minutes a day by themselves In you know in in the dark, hopefully like in a dimly lit room or just sitting there with your eyes closed And spending time with yourself. There's no other agenda It's not meditation You're not you don't have any other intention You're just with yourself and your own thoughts And you can work through the thoughts as they come But how many people take any time during the day by themselves to deal with anything they're going through not many people do And you're your own Healer you are the person with all the information. You're the one with all the power So sit down with yourself, you know and take that time And every time I give this to a student or a client they always come back to me and they say Wow, that was a lot harder. I thought it was going to be Because 15 minutes of quiet a day is all it all it is no distractions. No noise. No people just you
I love that Right. Oh, you're good at that But a lot of people don't They don't know that they haven't given themselves the space To truly find who they are But a lot of people can't because their heads are so busy They don't If I ask people questions, they'll say, oh, I don't like to be alone with my thoughts Yeah, because it's overwhelming to them. That's I know, but this is it's a good awareness Yeah, and that's the thing you do your best. I'm telling you you will do your best work Your best self-development On your own like just it only takes a few minutes a day just to be By yourself because you're in your own energy field too Absolutely, and you don't have anything interfering. No other people needing you wanting you Impressing their expectations on you crossing your boundaries nothing and in that 15 minutes You would be shocked at the amount of Awareness of self that you get and and sometimes in the beginning it's it's awareness of things that it's like I remember Oh my gosh, I can remember being like 38 years old and Really feeling like I couldn't keep up with everything and for me
You know if I'm gardening and taking care of my wellness center and my house and my kids and you know I was I got to that place where I felt like a spinning Bobblehead, you know, we all get there and then I started to take hot baths candle read a book Listen to music You know, but I know all the things I need to do to stay good now because I've worked through a ton of crazy dysfunction and and things and and I really I got to the place where I felt bad about how hard I worked and and how much I did for people and I felt bad because I was listening to everybody else It was controlling my mind for a while and then I started saying wait a second You know, I'm only going to do this if this brings me joy and what I learned is I You know fixing the house painting doing things it brings me joy now The only thing I could say now versus before is You know, I was I was going 150 miles an hour like everybody else when I was 38 Whereas the last 20 years I've been I meditate every day. I do right key to myself every day I'm on my needle bit every night. I I have routines for myself I know that if I have to go out and go shopping and be out in public in everyone's energy When I get back, it's almost like a dog gets wet and it's got to shake all that water off their fur
I'm kind of that same person. I need to I need to get outside or I need to do something that in my mind It's cleaning my energy field again reset. Yeah. Well, the the funny thing is I think people have an idea Well, maybe maybe they don't but some people believe that the future is set like it's set in stone And it actually isn't it it's like we have free will and we have multiple roads and paths we could take with multiple You know intensity different types of intensity and contrast beautiful But this is why that psychics can see maybe some things in your future But not everything right because you do your choice and other people's choices will kind of shift your you know some of your future And it's important to know that because Even if right now you're listening to this and you're going I don't know who I am. I don't know what I want. I don't know where I'm going. I feel stuck Then you know Just listen to Kim and me because Because we know that we're sharing truths we know that you can come through this this That the future is not set in stone and you can build what you want Why don't you think now about how to build your best possible future?
You know start to think about what is in your highest good You know what matches your soul your actual true self your authentic self What matches that and don't worry about all the things that have already happened to you And don't worry about what people think about where you're going because I'm going to tell you The divine world knows where you're going But it's not going to make any sense to you even if you knew the future right now It probably wouldn't make any sense to you because you don't know what it's like You don't know what it what it is until you walk that path So just start to walk the path make small choices Make small choices to listen to yourself to honor yourself honor what you want and um as Kim said She said earlier like finding your joy is so important like find the things that bring you Bring you joy and focus on them because you are the caretaker of your sacred energy No one else is no you you alone look after this Sacred energy that you carry and no one else is going to build it up for you No one else can tear it down. This is all about you. So if it's all about you Then you need to stop worrying about everybody else And take the time for yourself. This is of course if you're feeling lost or stuck
It's usually because you are not honoring your sacred self And you know one of the things I was thinking about is you you look at you And here you were you went to university for eight years You know to become a school teacher and then you get in the car accident T-bone from behind taken out right take it out in in your head you would be thinking what uh, you know But then it's like I remember the first time you told me that story and in my head I was like, well, you weren't supposed to be a school teacher, but you know, but I'll just listen So, you know, we talked and stuff and then in my head I'm going yeah because I trust spirits so much Let me do it for a little while right But it's like but here's the thing I love about being where we are right now And I was saying this to you earlier today How incredible is it that everything happened the way it is because here you are in a field where people call People like you and I Which is all this stuff and you don't get the Sometimes you don't get the respect you deserve Sometimes people in our work don't get the respect is what I mean. Not just us So it's like to me. It's kind of like beautiful that here we are now Where you're you've developed your own courses. You're successful in your field
And we're both doing great at what we're doing But it's it's almost like so incredible to me that here as a teacher, you know Like I have to go to you for help to to run a course because you you know how to lay it out because you're a teacher You're a trained teacher So here you are you have more accountability more credibility when people listen to you because you're articulate You know what you're talking about you have like education So for me you're somebody who's taking your work to another level and you're not just taking it to another level for you You're taking it to another level for all people who do what you do just as I am. Oh, thank you, right? So how beautiful is it that we get to be us? But we also get to have this incredible relationship where we're in This this relationship where I want what's best for you You want what's best for me?
But I want what's best for me too And I want what's best for you as a as a human being on your own separate from your work Separate from your parenting and everything as a soul because this is one thing about me that You know my whole life. I wasn't a kid that said oh, I want to be a doctor. I want to be this I want to be that I didn't have any of those dreams My dream was I want to grow up. I want to be happy. I want to experience life From like In my way what works for me for what's going to make what is going to make me happy But I didn't have any real I guess for me. It's the same way as I never looked at people and had like this big like oh, I want to be a famous Rock star singer. I never I always looked at even those people and thought I would not want to do that Yeah, because I knew how hard it was. I knew it wasn't exactly what everybody else thought it was I knew people would you'd be in their eye all the time and you know as confident as I am I'm I'm kind of an introverted extrovert. I I love my life. I love talking to people I have no problem talking to anybody Laura will find me anywhere talking to anyone who needs to talk because I I love people You know, but I I have always had this confidence that I didn't really understand. I had until
Yeah, the last so many years but that's because you have Changed you have switched gears into what is best for you right what matches you instead of doing what everyone else needed from you Well, that's why you can't always be around those people anymore It's because they want you to be that old version of you That was hard for you that hurt you And then it's like whoa wait a second come back But this is what we all have to stop doing You know I look at the kids today too and there's there's all these you gotta this and gotta that No, if you do that it makes your parents look bad and I don't believe that I think I think Kids are supposed to You know look at every kid they get naked and they start giggling because they know Like it's this freedom, but it's fun for them and they act silly almost Well, I would never take that from them now obviously can't sit outside and there's traffic going by So there's conditions to this like we're trying to protect our kids So everything can be taken Multiple different ways the perspective is a 360. You know, I I I'd like to see the parents like that can Teach their kids without all the extra like emphasis like to make because to me like the little kid
Take the energy off it You know the little kid, you know pulling their pants down on the lawn is it's it is just them Exploring and and just exploring something different and feeling freedom, you know, and then so I'd like to see I would think standing naked outside with the wind blowing all over me would feel like an awesome feeling Yeah, and but I'd like to see like the parenting that doesn't take away It doesn't actually hurt the child's spirit, you know, like that that's where I feel like I mean, I kind of see it in parents now and I think it's happening But I I guess this whole thing to me I spent so spent the first part of my life Doing things that I thought I should do And that I thought other people needed from me and then I realized that I wasn't happy right so In order to like really live the life I wanted I had to choose the things that made sense for me And I had to do it in a way that I didn't worry about other people And what they were going to say to me or what they were going to do and a lot of people I mean because you and I changed our lives in a pretty dramatic way I just I did not go back to teaching. So I was just doing readings full time
I was doing readings full time. Um, so I wasn't I wasn't doing like the regular work, you know that people would respect, I guess And I had to let go of all the Identity of being like just like a teacher and had to own my new identity and then leaving my marriage and leaving a man for a woman Like there's a lot of things in there that had to shift within me so I could allow myself to be myself And hopefully your story and your life is not as dramatic as ours But we had a pretty dramatic change And then you moved like you left your hometown and had to move all together So big big shifts in our lives so that we could trust thing So we could realign ourselves who we are and when you're in alignment It feels like liberation Like it feels like an expansion like you seem you feel so like I think we have a very Expanded life, you know and will you kind of you know Put will you perturb and upset other people with your life choices? You will But we're not talking about You know causing harm to other people on purpose. We're talking about
Knowing our worth knowing who we are and Realizing that we have a right to live our lives The way that we need to the way that we want to And other people May not be really happy with all that But it's not about them. You are the caretaker of your own energy You are the one that gets to decide. So one of my things that I say to clients sometimes is I'll say Really having hard time making a decision and I'll say I want you to think about when you're 85 Or 80 80 to 90 and that you can no longer do this thing that you're talking about right now Will you regret it that you didn't do it? And if they answer yes, then I know that they don't have a choice. They have to do that thing It's almost like a life or death situation because if they don't do that thing Then are they really living? They're definitely not living for themselves if they don't do it I think that's the thing years ago You told me you said pain is your teacher And when you're in a lot of pain and somebody says that, you know, it's like saying you got to forgive when you first hear those things You go, I don't think so But pain is my teacher and the beauty is I realize when I'm in pain
But I know that all I really got to do is stop in the moment And do whatever needs to be done to make my body feel better So, you know, you work until a certain length of time or my back will start bugging me and I get that sign It's like, okay, you know, because I'm the type of person I can work 12 hours a day And then fall over and feel like I'm half dead But but I wake up the next day and I feel fine and away I go again. And yeah, I'm a little bit sore But to me, it's like I I I kind of go well at least I can feel that I'm alive. Yeah. Well, you're exactly you're alive You're doing what you came here to do. Yeah You're on your path and in that is so much personal power that you You know who you are There is a lot There's a lot less things that can throw you off after you're in that place So that's why we're here and we're talking to you about this today that you can't deny who you came here to be And if like in my case, I came here to be this person I am right now I know it in the very core of my being and if I wasn't this person right now, I would not be happy And so I I offer that to you and I say Think about that if you are if you are 85 are you going to look back at your life and wish that you had Had done this and this and this and this because if you feel that way you better go do those things
Because that's why you're here. I agree 100% all right, so we'll be back next week with another conversation If you're interested in contacting Kim for soul awakening coaching, please contact her at mksoulcoaching.com If you'd like to check out my website and everything that I do, please go to laurawarrenmedium.com
