Hello, I'm Kimberly and I'm Laura. And today we're talking about living the bucket list life. Everybody talks about living their bucket list life, you know, it's like the popular like hashtag live in the bucket list life and everybody's, you know, social media is all about showing all the cool things you're doing, but we, and why you should be doing it, right? Well, yeah, but we wanted to dig into it a little bit more because it's not just about the nice pictures you took or the cool places you went. There's a deeper meaning to this. Absolutely. And it's really important. I cannot tell you the number of souls that come forward from the afterlife to tell me and to tell, tell me to tell their loved one that they didn't do this and they didn't do that and they wish they had done this and they wish they had done that.

And I, I had this friend years ago and she always used to say, I'm going to wear this life right out and I'm going to, I like that I'm going to slide inside ways late, you know, through the pearly gates and I'm going to be all dirty and messed up and my body is going to be all used up, you know, and I used to think about this like, that's a good one. Yeah. I used to think about this like, of course, right? Like you have your life, use it and don't regret things. Don't, don't leave things behind. Like no regrets. Um, and this just keeps getting reinforced with every single reading that I do that we are our own worst enemy. Sometimes I believe that we forget, you know, that how important things are to us, we get caught up in whatever daily thing is happening and we don't do the important things.

So living your bucket list life to me is about being able to enjoy your life to cross, not just cross things off your list, but actually be present in these experiences to learn from them, to allow yourself to expand and to make sure that you are doing what matters to you. Wow. That's a really good analogy. I was listening going, okay, check, check, check. Yeah. Cause I think the thing with me is that I would say that in my whole life, I've always been a happy person because I love life and I love being on this earth. I think the earth is just an incredible place to be. I don't think we realize, you know, I don't think when we're younger, we realize how really important it is to be awake in your life and to be connected and grounded and solid in who you are and where you're at within life, you know?

And I think the only reason I truly know that is that I've had so many different kinds of experience. So like, you know, the hardship of being a kid and obviously we were, you know, we didn't have a lot of money and that never bothered me, believe it or not. Like a lot of people are judging their childhood and stuff, but I just knew things were the way they were for a reason, but it was the things that, that looked dysfunctional and they didn't look healthy to me. That were hard for me. So it wasn't really about, you know, what day, like how I grew up in poverty or how life even changed after that and stuff. It's, it's all the different stages of life and then being married and having kids and how incredible that all is. And, but there's something that happens. And of course, some of you guys are going to like, you know, be like, Oh God, those two, but I think there's something about finding somebody who they love us.

Right. I know everyone loves us. I know, but it's, it's the truth. I think that we tell and I, I didn't realize, like again, I've been different levels of happy because you, you still have to choose even when you're in dysfunction, you still have to make the choice within yourself to be happy because it's a choice being happy. I don't care when anybody says it's a choice. There's been people living in horrific circumstances and they still find a way to be happy and they find a way to not just be happy, but to be successful. And that, that looks different to different people, but for me being in a healthy relationship that is also a connected relationship and a very grounded, solid relationship where there's never that person that's saying, because you and I are the same in so many ways.

And then we're different in enough ways that it helps us, you know, grow even more, you know, but I think the thing with me is when you're in a solid relationship and you just are being free within yourself, it's like all these things shift and change and all these opportunities start showing up and they show up and they don't stop showing up. And it's like, you know, one thing about me is I've realized what a massive manifestor I am. And it took me a lot of took me a long time to even be able to say that out loud because I've always been a very confident person, but you know, I've always had my own share of insecurities. But see, this is what happens. So I have to go back a little bit because when I met you, I felt like I finally found somebody who looked at life the way I did.

And I didn't have a lot of people in my life at that time that were big thinkers, right, you know, or that they thought that, you know, you're just if you're destined to do something, then you're it's just going to happen. Right. Like you, you know, it's obviously you have to work towards things. You can't just like, I really want to write a book. That's something that's on my bucket list. It's amazing. So I am writing. So I am writing and it's a lot of work. And if I didn't do the work, of course, I would not have. I would not have the completed book. So, you know, obviously there's some work involved, but there are things that are happening in your life along your soul plan that you literally cannot mess it up because it's meant to happen and it's on your path.

And I always had this feeling like life was meant to be lived bigger, that we weren't supposed to let certain things hold us back, that a lot of the things that we worry about are really minor and the universe, you know, the universe doesn't worry, you know, about whether you're going to have enough gas to get your job or, you know, it doesn't worry about those little things. Like it doesn't worry whether, you know, you're I just laugh because I grew up in a family that thinks about everything, every little thing that can go wrong. So, if you're going camping, it's like, well, are you going to a safe area? You know, are the animals active there? You know, is it going to be too hot? Do you need cooler clothes? Do you need a fan? Oh, no, maybe it's going to be cold.

You should bring a warmer sleeping bag. I must have been a shock to your system. Make sure you bring your bug spray and make sure you have your citronella candles and, uh-oh, tix, bring your tix spray because you don't want to, you know, so I grew up in this family that's like mega-planters, right? Like, they're planning out everything and they're thinking about every possible scenario. Like, oh my gosh, I have my spare tire in my car. Good. In case I get a flat tire along the way and there's no cell phone reception and like, you know, everything, right? So here I am. I'm walking through life and I'm thinking everybody's like this, right? Because I don't know anybody else like me. I don't know anybody else that would just decide, I'm going to go to the beach on the way to the beach, see a yard sale, stop at the yard sale. Just suddenly run into a friend that I hadn't seen in years and then we make a date to have coffee and then, you know, and like all these synchronicities happen and then I find something at the yard sale that reminds me of my grandmother and, you know, like I live life like that.

I live life in my intuition. I live life in the police where if I have a desire and urge to go do something, I just go do it and then along the way, if there's stops I want to make, if there are things I want to do. Also, I don't let things hold me back, you know, you know, like it's like, okay, well, I have two hours to go do this activity. That's plenty of time, no problem. Whereas maybe somebody in my family might say, oh my God, two hours, you got to drive there, it's going to take this long, you got to stay there, you know. And so I meet you, you know, fast forward to meeting Kim. And she's like, she never asked the question, why shouldn't we do this? Or what's in our way? She always asks the question, how?

How do we do this? And I'm like, finally, my person, my person that sees possibilities and that wants to experience life and, you know, doesn't look outside and go, oh, no, it's a little cloudy. It might rain. We better not go. I'm like, I love the rain and I love being outside. And so some of our little adventures, we didn't care about the weather. We did the thing anyway, whatever we wanted to do. And I'm like, oh my God, I found this person who's exactly like me that will doesn't let little things stand in the way. Doesn't worry if you forgot, forgot your tic spray or you forgot your stick spray or your, I probably wouldn't bring half those things or your citronella candle or whatever. My packing is very light. I'm sure we joke around about that too, because I'm the type of person I just like throw in some shorts and some shirts and make sure you have enough underwear and bras and very minimal.

I do have to say that my mom trained me well. Yes. So I do have like a list of things that I bring, but the difference is if I forget something, I don't stress about it. Right. Oh, listen, I forgot that. I'll have to figure that out. Well, I remember, I remember when you said we did things and one of the little stories I want to throw in here is we went to, I took Laura to Hope All Rocks in New Brunswick and it's beautiful there. And we're really excited. We drove all up the coast in Trumonton and all these little cafes and it didn't matter. We'd see a cute little store and she'd go, oh, and I turn in. She'd go, I can't believe like you don't mind stopping and stopping and stopping. And I said, but that's part of the experience, you know, and we get there and it's pouring raining like we were like we were soaking wet when we got out of there.

I remember climbing in my little golf, my little yellow golf that I love so much. Man, that car made me happy. But anyway, I just remember looking at you and you just didn't care. And you looked like somebody that had been set free. It wasn't just a normal. Oh, my, you know, like we're just doing this. It was like, I haven't done this in so long and this feels so good. I'm just going to let myself be like a little kid here. And I remember getting back in the car and you slipping into some dry clothes because literally drenched, you know. And I think that's something that we don't do enough of. We put so much worry on everything. We're the hamster on the wheel. Go, go, go, go, go, go. But how much are you stopping and really enjoying your life? And I remember one of the very first things you ever said to me was, and you said it a lot, exactly like what I have just repeated.

But you said, you know, you're the type of person that, you know, my, my last life, it would be somebody would be like, there's one thing on the plate. Well, let's just be real. Like it was my ex. Yeah, exactly. He's not listening. He used to actually say, like, don't put too much on our plate. Right. So when I met him, it was like, you, you're so awesome because you don't worry about that. You just go, oh, well, let's add another plate. Yeah, exactly. Oh, this one's full. Okay. I know. And but I think it's the fact that I, I also have always known that I was different and different in a way that I could read people from a very young age and I could see people like really creating this behavior that didn't make any sense to me because for me, love is love connections connection.

And, and I did always feel like I was, I was a very special kid, but in a way that every kid's special, they just don't know they are, but something in me knew. I just always knew that I really love life. I always felt like I understood things more than most. I always like, I mean, it's like now I'm walking around my house and there's birds everywhere and there's pheasants and, you know, they're just it's crazy. I feel like I'm in this little Alice in Wonderland here at this, at our house. And all I can do is say that our life has created this new energy for me that all the things, you know, even being Kim and Laura and being in this work, I think that what I thought a bucket list was before and what I think it is now are two separate things.

And I think a bucket list is fun because some people need a bucket list to look at to say, Hey, what's that thing you don't give yourself permission to do or you don't give yourself enough time or money or, you know, listen, I fully believe that we should not let circumstance stop us from our path. So these small things and I do say money is a small thing because Kim and I have done a lot of stuff with very little money. Oh, a lot. We we've been, you know, consistently exploring and creating life with very little funds. So I don't think money is the main factor. And when people say it or time, they say time, I'm sorry, let's talk about time for a second because this I'm going to debunk this time thing.

Let's do that. Yeah, right. So time is it's interesting because the science of years ago was that time is linear and it marches on time is a construct that we've created. It's actually a social agreement, a social construct that we've all agreed to as humans. But time does not move on a consistent minute, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour sequence. And it in their science behind that, too. But are you ready? Are you open enough? Are you willing to understand and to accept that time is not linear? That's really the question because I've been I've been studying different things because I'm writing and I want some different things in the book. And so there is actually a ton of research and science behind everything that we talk about everything.

But what I've realized is a lot of people don't want to understand. Absolutely. And so they're closed off to it from the beginning without even listening. And time is not linear. Time is what we make it. And this is how some days you'll say, wow, this day flew by so fast. And other days, you'll find that it feels very slow. And sometimes people say, like, after after COVID, the weird thing that happened, and I know a lot of people notice this kind of little time warp, it felt like time was moving very slow in the moment, but very fast according to the calendar. Right. And so you look at the calendar and you go, oh, my God, the time is like the days are just going by. But when you're in it, it felt so drawn out, almost like we're all in slow motion. So why is that happening? And it is because time is not time is not something that happens as we have decided it does. That's a reality we've decided on that doesn't exactly operate the way we think it does. And so we're going to squash the money myth, because you can do lots of things, you know, with less money, you just have to decide you're going to do it. And the and you can manifest more money.

There's always more money to make. And time, we're going to squash that too, because you have time to do whatever you need to do, whatever you're meant to do, what's important to you, what's important to you, what you desire, you're an infinitely powerful being made of divine frequency. You can do anything you want to. See, me, I know that. Oh, I know, I'm not trying to convince you. I know, I'm just joking. Because this is something that, like I said, way before I met him, I had the realization that we were like these balls of energy, and our thoughts directed our energy. And we if we decided that we were able to do something, it would unfold. And that's kind of how manifesting has happened. And even though things are very difficult at various times in my life, I did actually complete the things that I wanted to do at that time, even though it was really hard. And I look back at those things now. And I think, wow, I actually did get through those things that I thought I would never get through, which is pretty, pretty amazing. And I'm sure a lot of people can say that a lot of people can look back

At their life and say, Oh my gosh, I never thought I'd get through that. And now look at me, you know, so we're squashing time, the time excuse, and we're squashing the money excuse. And we know all the all the stuff. We are in this with you, we know all, you know, everything's getting more expensive and all that. We know all the reasons why you believe the way you do. Yeah, we're in it. We're living people that have to pay bills too. But we have found ways to experience life. And we've, we've had days where we just kind of said to each other, let's have like a money free day, like no, no spending money. And we always find a way pack a lunch, go to the beach, go for a hike, you know, go for a swim, we do all kinds of things, no money. And we do them all the time. I think, I think that's the biggest thing for me is that I look at how hard it was when we first left our axes, how we had to restart our life.

And I mean, God, we both had to go bankrupt for different reasons. And mine, a car accident, yours, just to pull bunch of stuff, you know, leaving a marriage, a whole bunch of life, you know. Yeah. And I mean, so we didn't have it easy. And there's so many challenges we've had. I mean, we have been going back and forth from one province to the other for 11 years. And, you know, and we have different challenges. There's lots of times that we miss things on either side. There's times we miss things here, there's times we miss things there. And we could feel bad about that. But we, we get to the place where we thought, that's not something we can change that is a part of us both being living or being from different provinces. And we're always going to have that, you know, that, you know, missing what we, what we don't have, or what we think we, we don't have. Because, you know, my wife said something funny to me, because I used to feel really bad about leaving my kids and my grandkids in another province. And she said, but you know what, you're always going to be cool nanny. And you're always going to have your moments with them are always going to be really important. And I'm telling you, I can't believe it. I mean, we're getting ready to go away with the kids Thursday morning to PEI. And

We're going to have a blast. And then in August, we bring the grandkids here, the two oldest boys for a week and the two youngest girls for a week. And then their parents come down at the end of that. And with the whoever the first two were, which is boys this year. And then all of us are together for three or four days. And I would agree with that, even though that was very hard for me to like admit it in the beginning. But the funny thing is, I think that our life has become this, like it really feels like it has so much more value than it used to and value not in a dollar amount or in stature, like, you know, the stature of, you know, who we are in what we're doing and stuff. It's, it's the way we live in the way and the way that how we live affects other people because, you know, we really do live this beautiful life.

And I think I find myself almost every single day of my life. I know I would be shocked to think that I miss a day because every day in my life, I have so much gratitude. And the gratitude is for the simple things. It's for the things that we don't, we never used to value when we were so busy, you know, doing everything you thought you had to do. And the funny thing is you and I, we work a lot less days, a lot less hours than we used to. And the beauty of how we've learned to live is that we really choose the things that we want. We really choose the things that bring us more life and more connection and more evolvement. And I think that our life is sweeter than I ever could imagine.

And we joke all the time and say, we feel rich. And the funny thing is we have way more with way less. Don't you find because what I made before I met you and what we what little we made for a long time until we finally started getting back on track again, you know, we've done some pretty incredible things with very little money. Oh, yes. And, you know, there's just this way to find it. If if you're also, I have to say this, do that. We really love our work. Yes. So sometimes we were afforded the opportunity to go places and travel and work as well. Right. And that always helped pay for trips. And we we would do like everybody else did. If we had to fly, we'd look for a seat sale, you know, if we had to stay somewhere, we'd try to find the best deal possible.

We just did what we could. We'd stay with friends sometimes. But we we were able to do some things and to travel to some places and do wellness retreats and things. And we were able to work and still have the opportunity. Right. But it doesn't feel like work to us. That's a thing. Our our work doesn't feel like work. But I want to I want to kind of dig into that a little bit, because here's the thing for me. The reason why it doesn't feel like work is because we love obviously we love doing it. But it's the way I feel like we're so settled in who we are. We're so comfortable in our own skin. We're really comfortable with what we're doing. We trust where we are. We trust where we're going. The more you connect with source and universal consciousness and the and your higher self and the more you keep, you know, the real goal is to keep looking at the things that you can tweak, change, redirect in your life to make things easier for you.

You know, and that's it. And if you have goals like your we've talked about before, how desires are signals from your soul. So if you really feel like in your heart that you desire to do something or you want to experience something, that signal is coming from your soul plan, especially when you feel determined to do it. And that soul plan means that you are going to have feelings that are going to lead you. It's sort of like we talked about following breadcrumbs, like you're going to have little things that lead you to experiences. And I feel like that's I mean, I surrendered to that kind of following the breadcrumbs thing. And I didn't surrender easily. I was I'm a very stubborn person. Really? Oh, you don't say.

And I just keep I say stubborn and passionate. I might be I like to say I'm a little spicy and I keep life interesting. That's what I like to say. I you know, Kim will never be bored. You'll never be bored with me. Yeah. And I I'd say the same thing just in a different way. Right. So and you'll never be hungry. So I had, you know, oh my gosh, the food. So I never had this. I guess I always thought that I had to do things a certain way earlier in life. I had to, you know, follow all the rules and do this and do this. But then the universe kind of came along and offered me lots more life. And the kind of how that happens, the kind of life that you learn from and you really learn what's important to you. Like that.

That's a good way to put it. Yeah. I ended up in a place where I was like, fine, I give up. I surrender to what my life is meant to be instead of what I'm trying to make it. Right. There's a big difference. Right. And when I did that, I really felt like things just kept unfolding, you know. Oh, yeah, I'm intuitive. So I'm going to do readings. Okay, doing readings. Then somebody says, we'll come to my house. I have eight people that want readings. And you go, oh, now I'm doing group readings. Okay. And then somebody calls you and says, my house is haunted, come over here and help me and get the spirit out of my house. And so you go do that. And then somebody else calls you and says, I've done a few do's, right? And somebody else calls and says, I have really bad luck. Please come help me. Somebody else says, you know, can you please help me? I have this health problem. And I don't know what to do about it. So so I would, you know, go and help them with Angel Reiki before before I met him. I used to call it Angel Reiki.

I didn't know what I was doing. I like that name. But the universe just would call on me. It felt like and I'd end up sometimes I'd end up at people's houses like people I knew, obviously not random people, but but somebody will pop into my head and I think, oh, my God, they really need some help. And I'd make my way over to their home and sure enough, they would need help. They would need somebody with them to help them through something. So I ended up doing all these things just by like happen stance kind of like, you know, just just like I was saying earlier about how I might decide like I'm going to the beach, but I ended up stopping somewhere, run into an old friend realize the old friend needs help with something and or they have a friend who needs a reading or whatever. And it was just like snowball. And that's what was happening.

It was like, oh, and all of a sudden, we met somebody who wanted to do big events. And then you're all you're doing these big events at hotels and things. And then wellness retreats. And it just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger. And then somebody says, come do my podcast and come be on my YouTube channel. And you're just like, oh, okay, you know, but it really just kept unraveling and unraveling and unraveling. And I just kind of always tried to go with it. I was scared to death most of the time. I did have a lot of fear. But I'm so glad that I did all those things because somewhere inside of me I really wanted to. I just was afraid, you know, I like that you said that. So let's talk a little bit about why fear is part of the equation.

I'm laughing because at some at some points, I believe at some points in my life, fear was the entire equation. So I'm laughing. And I think it is for most people. Yeah, I don't feel the same way. For me. Yeah, but yeah. The thing about me is I think I probably should have had a little bit more fear in my life. And I'm realizing now, you know, in my 50s that it's it looks different than it used to for me. So so I don't want to stop you where you're going or jumping off train bridges for you. Right. Well, I did a lot of cliff diving. I've done fire walking. I've done sweats with shamans. And, you know, I think one of the craziest things ever did though was when I was a kid, I was always looking for my father's approval or attention. Probably that didn't happen because I don't think he knew who the heck I was or what I was doing at any other time.

But I used to jump on the back of a skidoo and I'd hold on to the bar for dear life. Yeah, for dear life. But you were always trying to show how tough you were how strong you were how you were capable of all these things. And and I think dad was a little crazy. So I was trying to be a little crazy to get noticed. But I used to literally put my hands on the back bar of the skidoo. And he didn't know I was there. You know, and then he'd get going and he'd be going so fast that in my head, I'd be going, What am I doing? Why am I doing this? Oh, my God, I must be crazy. So, you know, there are those things we do that we we look at and go, Oh, I do not know why I started this thing. But but yeah, I think fear is a big part of what holds people back. I think the whole idea of a bucket list is, you know, what what what do you hear when you hear that that word?

What's the first thing that comes to your mind? Bucket list? Honestly, it's the question that comes up when when people when somebody books a reading and they have this question to them, not to them, it's life or death in that moment. Yeah, that's what I'd say too. Yeah, they've looked at reading because they literally do not want to know what to do. But often, when it comes right down to it, I can ask one question and pretty much answers it. And I'll say, imagine that you're 89 and your health's failing, maybe your mind's failing a little bit, maybe you just feel like a feeble, maybe not as strong. And you're not able to do this thing that you're talking about right now. Will you regret it? And if the answer is yes, you have no choice but to do that thing, just do the thing. Yeah, because fear is not like, I love it. We have a really good friend. And every time we talk about fear, she says, face everything and rise.

So meaning, you know, if you face your fears, you will rise above them. But if you don't face them, what happens? They get bigger and bigger and bigger, and they start to take over and they push you in places you do not want to go. Oh, I agree 100%. So we have fear for a reason. Fear is there to show us that this is a really big thing you're about to attempt to do. But if you don't do it, and you're left with regret from the afterlife, spirits from the afterlife, they always come forward. And they always say things like, you know, I really should have just, I really should have just bucked up, found my courage and did the thing. Because now I have to come back in my next life and do the thing. Yeah. And see, for me, I work in the healing profession, right? I mean, I feel like what we do is the same just different. But I always say to people, you know, yeah, I always say to people laying on my table, I'm like, you know, are you really willing to wait until you're dying to actually start to live? You know, because, you know, and there's loads of songs about that stuff, right? It's so I just think that people sometimes you put too much emphasis on it, too. And I would I would bet from the

Way I've lived my life and what I've learned from it, you know, some of the things that you really thought were big on your bucket list, they wouldn't even get on that list today. I know that is something that I used to use these little things to motivate me, especially in university, because I had to work a few jobs, sometimes two, sometimes three jobs to get through university. And I had to complete all my work and still maintain some kind of social life, which usually didn't happen. But I had to use all these things to motivate me. And one of the things I used to do is I used to drive a certain way to university. So I could see the big houses on the water and the fancy cars parked in the driveway. And I used to look at it and say, that's going to that's going to be me. I'm going to be able to do that. I just got to keep finishing. I got to keep going to school. I got to keep finishing this, you know, degree, I get to keep working. And so I'd use those things as motivation.

Now I look at those houses and I go, that's not really me. That's not really a big empty house is not really anything that I'm interested in anymore. And I'm not interested in, you know, a vehicle, as long as it's a good vehicle, I'm good. You know, we want to be safe and we want our vehicles to look nice. But I think the thing that we both feel is that, you know, I don't want to have a payment for something that's going to cause me stress. Because, you know, we really are living more and more a stress free life. Because, you know, the more you trust what you chose, which I think this is a real big part of this discussion tonight is the more you trust what you chose in this life, meaning soul contract. And you trust that in the moment, everything that's happening, you know, that old saying people you say, oh, this is happening for you, not to you. And I remember I was one of those people wanting to say, shut up. That is not what I wanted to hear right now. But it's true, the universe is always working for you. But the universe doesn't care about the things you care about, right? Right? It doesn't care if you think it's hard, or if you don't want to do it. Fine, don't do it.

But it might show up a year down the road, five years down the road, 10 years down the road. That's why we're always evolving and growth never stops. I mean, when it stops, you're gone and you're, you're, you know, you're on the other side. And, you know, I know me when I get up there, I'm like ready to go come back down. I love this life. You know, I don't love all of the hard stuff that happens in this life. But that's not for me to be stuck in. I, I see the beauty in life. I mean, you know, I'm, I'm life is always teaching me. I have bird feeders all over the place. I grow plants that attract bumblebees and hummingbirds and, you know, butterflies. And I feed the birds because I love them. But then I'm, I'm being completely transparent here. I, I didn't always love squirrels because they were just there. They create a lot of havoc and all this stuff. But then I go like again, I'm learning every day. And today I said to my wife, I said, you're not going to like this, but there's two cute little mice out by the back, you know, at the back woods where I have some beautiful little spot.

After my experience with squirrels and baby squirrels, I forget about that. I understand. I don't really understand. I don't know if I'll ever love the squirrels. They tried to get our house. So I will remain neutral. Oh God. Yeah, we had some work to do in this house when we first started. But anyway, while there was the, you know, this house, I believe was a squirrel hotel at one point. The guy left the window open. There was holes in the screen, you know, like it was, there was holes in the doors and chewed in the bottom of the doors, the interior doors here. Like the squirrels were like, we are getting out of here. You're not anyway. But my point is that you're not going to let me tell my squirrel story. Oh, okay, I go ahead.

Yeah, this is a good one. So how does this connect to bucket list? I don't really know. But anyway, it's funny. But while having having a host again, that was certainly on my bucket list. So these big things happen every time Kim is not here for some reason. So she, she I take care of things like this one. Here massage table and all her supplies. And she drives a new Brunswick. And I leave her here and bump bump. The squirrels begin to infiltrate our home. We had a heat pump that had a broken, what is this thing called the heat pump, the outside vent or whatever. And it was broken. So they're trying to get up in there. They got into the wall behind the heat pump and made a little nest and had squirrel babies. And I didn't know until the little feet started sticking out of the bottom of the heat pump. And I was like, we couldn't hit them because we didn't want to hurt anything. Oh, God, Kim said, put a we had some traps. So I set up a trap outside because I thought, well, if I if I catch them live, I can take them away.

Rehome them. I'll re-home them. I did. I don't want to hurt them, right? So I'll re-home them. Oh, God. So I took the traps and I put peanut butter and walnuts inside the traps. And and then Kim said to get them out of the wall. She said, put a speaker with loud music, play loud music, it'll shock them and get them out of the wall. Well, they went flying over the wall, turned on the music and they flew out on the other side outside. And eventually ended up in the traps. And I re-homed. OK, don't you ready for this number? I re-homed six squirrels. I know it was not and I didn't like it. Yeah, I didn't like it. Mother's Day. I caught two baby squirrels and I had to it's a take. I remember you calling me being upset.

I did my little Google search and it said that you have to take them 15 kilometers away because they remember their way back. And I'm like, no, you're not coming back here. So I took them way far away. And then then there was another squirrel in the trap and another squirrel in the trap anyway. So six squirrels later, all re-homed to to the beautiful Prospect Village. And now I have to be careful because I look like I'll look like the crazy lady with their yelling at the squirrels. You were at that point. You were going inside talking to them when I was going on my poor way. I wasn't talking to them. I was saying, get off my prop aid out of my house. So, you know, I was not afraid of the squirrels. I had no fear.

No, that's not really true. I was really afraid I was going to hurt them. Anyway, all the squirrels were re-homed safely and hopefully are all living together in a beautiful little squirrel community in Prospect Village. Oh, God. But and we got our heat pump fixed and the casing outside and then we had no more problems with the squirrels. But the funny thing is I don't really love squirrels or I thought I didn't really love them because I find they're they've given us so much trouble and they're little pigs. They stay on the feeder until it's all gone. And anyway, I was like, let's say this, the squirrels on the feeder, they're living their bucketless life. I know they are. They're like these people keep these feeders full and we never have to worry about food. They have manifested a constant supply of food.

But I got smarter. I got better birdhouses so they can still eat. But it takes a week to go through the bird seed whereas before they'd emptied them in a day. But the funny thing about today was when I seen the mice, I one was on the feeder and one was on the ground. And I don't know how they even get on the feeder. But I just give up because if I meant to feed the little mice and the squirrels and all the amounts of crazy amount of birds we have here. And we the birds are getting so comfortable with us that there's even a male pheasant and his wife and their babies every year. But the male pheasants here all the time because I don't know where her little nest is or whatever. But and he was following me around. He was literally maybe five feet from me. He's getting so comfortable. But I just remember in the moment today going I feel so lucky and I feel so blessed that I get to play in my yard and grow grow vegetables and herbs and plants and make things that make people healthy.

And so if the little mice are supposed to be fed by me too, how can I discriminate against what I'm feeding? You know, and I just thought they were super cute. I can settle and have the squirrels if it means we have all the beautiful birds. There you go. And I just think they're all beautiful. And, you know, I sometimes and this is the funny thing is we are sometimes challenged. We like this, but we don't like that. And we don't know why we don't like that sometimes. But for me, you know, I just I love everything that comes from the earth. And I love all the little critters and it makes me so happy to go outside and see so many different birds and so many different things. And it makes me feel like what I'm doing is is purposeful. Yeah. And so so here we are living this amazing expanse of life, living life the way we want to.

We have our work the way we want to. We are choosing daily to do activities that we want to. And we're checking things off the so-called bucket list. And we know we know that our bucket list has changed. We our priorities have changed. And what we value is more important. Now it's it's more important to have good relationships, to have love in our life, to make sure we're helping people to extend ourselves when when needed for people that we love to improve those relationships. Like, that's the stuff that matters. You know, I never am going to have a spirit. It's never going to happen. It hasn't happened yet. I've had thousands of readings. No spirit has ever come through and said, man, I wish I had a bot that Mercedes or that no, yeah, or or I wish I had had that six bedroom house on the water.

Yeah, that doesn't happen because all they care about is the people in their life that they love. That's all they care about. And I hate to make my our listeners even sicker, but that's one of my things every day. I just feel so lucky and it's been happening for. I mean, I've always felt lucky being with you, but this year there's just been this gratitude and we've had a lot of crazy this year to a lot of stuff that would make most people go what? But I think for us, it's that we know that even when those things happen, they're so short lived and they move on so fast. But I think it's just learning that I can't believe how happy I am and how how much every day I think I'm so grateful that we have such a great relationship and and that we have each other and it's priceless to have that kind of relationship.

And I think that going out into the world and showing people that, you know, really so much of our life is a choice and a bunch of sequence of choices. And, you know, what you think, you know, I think it's still good to do the things you think you want to do because then you give yourself permission to get out there and start doing them. But I think as you start doing them, you realize that, you know, some of my favorite things is, you know, you and I would just take off and we'll pack a lunch or we'll grab the barbecue and we'll throw stuff in and we just hang out at the beach all day or we take a drive down to Mahon Bay or or Wolfville and we, you know, go to you picks and it's just simple, simple, fun. Sometimes something so simple just like getting up in the morning and having coffee.

Oh, absolutely. Having coffee together. But, you know, what you you have to think about what is holding you back from doing the things that you really want to do that you feel you desire to do. And I I like what Kim said about choice. You know, when we're younger, we think we have all kinds of time. I see souls all the time that have fit a ton of life into their short lives and they didn't even know why they were so driven to do it. You know, people that die young, but they their family would describe them as like, you know, a person full of energy, a person constantly going, wanting to achieve, never sitting still, just wanting to go, go, go all the time. Didn't mind taking risks, wasn't afraid.

And that's because their soul knew. They knew they had to fit a lot of life into a short amount of time. So I'm not saying you go out there and you go crazy and you do everything that, you know, you want to do with your life and in two years or something. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying, like, you know, be risky or, you know, be don't, you know, be safe, all those things. But the things I really want you to ask yourself, what are the things that you need to do that if that question, if you got too old to do those things? Or if you get sick? Yeah, or if you get sick, what would you regret that you didn't take the time to do? That's important. And then now ask yourself, what's holding you back? Because I bet you you would find that a lot of your reasons are not reasons, they're excuses.

Right. Now, and I say that all the time, there's more hours in the day than we think. But where our priorities land is what, you know, dictates what we're going to do in that day. And I know because you and I prove it to each other every day. And and I think that my biggest surprise is that if somebody would have told me even 10 years ago that I would love cooking and and growing. And I'm not joking. There's days that I'm going all day. I'm I'm weed in the garden, picking herbs and drying them. You know, whatever I'm doing, it's always, you know, somebody could look at and say, all you ever do is work. You need to slow down and believe me, I get this a lot. Is it work if you enjoy it? Right. If you love it. And then it's like you and I both love to cook and we cook from scratch. Everything we do, like even even just today.

That's the thing about. That's the thing that we have. I don't think I was always like this, but I've noticed this about you, that you just go and do things without all the thoughts, you know, and then all the thoughts create fears and then cause anxiety. And then it stops you and it takes more time and you don't have that process. There's really not anything in my head sometimes. It's just the fact that I enjoy what I'm doing. So I just go from thing to thing, something, no thought occurs to you. Yeah. And then you go, I'm going to go do that. And things that you've never done before, which is really impressive. There's no fear. So really this idea of fear, I want you to understand that if you have fear about something that you've really wanted to do, it's possible that that fear is just telling you that this is really big.

And this means a lot to you. This is important to you. So you you have a fear that you're going to mess it up or that it's not going to work out and you'll be disappointed. But how are you ever going to know? How are you never know if you don't do it? So everything that you want is really on the other side of fear. Right. And pay attention when you're doing things. What what kind of energy it gives you? What kind of a like reset or the charge? Do you get charged up or like pay attention? Anybody that's written a book or any writing about their life knows what it's like to kind of just put yourself out there. Your soul is uncovered and bare. And it is scary. It is so scary. But there is something inside of me and many other authors and writers that tells them that this is exactly where you need to go.

This is exactly what you have to do. Is it scary? Yes. Are people going to like it? And some people not going to like it? Yes. But there's something driving. There's something driving me and many other people to continue to move forward, even though it's scary. And so many people have said to me since they found out that I was writing. They say, oh, I couldn't do that because I couldn't talk about this person or that person or I couldn't tell this story or that story. And honestly, you always find a way to tell the stories that are important. And it is very it is very hard. It is very scary. But it's it's like the goal is there. And that's what I'm aiming for. And that's what I want.

And I want it more than the fear. But I love the growth that comes from that, too. Because anytime it doesn't matter what we're doing, whether we're writing a book or we're building a plan for business or we're like looking at a retreat, it's it's how that affects you and how it teaches you and shows you more and more all the time, the possible, the impossible becomes possible. And I think that's such a beautiful like awareness is when you start realizing that when I look at what I can do and all the things I love to do, which before felt like work, they don't feel like work anymore. And I love to make things and give them to people. I mean, your parents were here yesterday, your dad fixed something on the mower for me. And, you know, I gave him a couple bottles of jam for his mom because she's so cool.

94 years old, she's a firecracker, just love her. But, you know, we gave your dad some jam. And I think it's just it's these funny things. It doesn't matter if it's products, it doesn't matter if it's jewelry over the years that you've made. There's just these times when you just feel so blessed that you can give something to somebody that brings some joy. That's my love. That's my passion. I love creating things and then having people that come together and have supper with us and, you know, how how happy they are. And you can just feel the energy. You can feel the vibe. It's beautiful. So that's a perfect segue into talking about the retreat. Oh, yes. Because we need to let you know that we have two spots left for our four hour fall with wellness retreat. And our wellness retreat is called ignite your sacred flame.

And this is exactly the kind of thing that we are doing. We are showing people that the fear is not as important as what your soul is here to do. And the more you trust what you came here to do, the more what you came here to do becomes like present. Yeah, we're we're teaching you to kind of shift the energy into what is important for you, what you need. We're showing you how to let go, how to release all the things that you no longer need, the things that have been drawing your attention that, you know, you've been investing energy in that aren't, you know, on your path or maybe it's not something that you want to invest in anymore. This retreat Kim, Kim kind of she she took me by surprise because she said she wanted to cook everything and do all the food.

And I was like, oh my God, that seems like a lot of work. But when we started to talk about it, I realized how important it is. This is part of this is part of your love language, you know, to make sure that everyone is, you know, cared for. And this is how you're doing it. But the retreat we offer. Well, there's energy and food, right? So I have for doing a retreat that we're bringing people to a higher level of consciousness and awareness and awakeness. Then I think the the energy of the food we're putting in our body is very important. And I think we can show people how that can change how they feel as well. This is a weekend of self discovery. This is a weekend of release and letting go. This is a weekend of just real, amazing, female power, divine power.

And there's multiple, like and there's more to come. So I mean, you know, I'm always meditating and seeing future things. And one of the things I said to Laura was I said, I feel like this retreat is going to be kind of the staple of what we're going to be bringing every single time and then to expand it to other countries and stuff is the goal and to connect with as many people from all over the world. So this one's being held in beautiful Fox Point, Nova Scotia, which we are so excited. It is right on the ocean. We have incorporated some morning meditations at the beach and some fire ceremonies, healing ceremonies, drumming ceremonies.
