How to Embody Your Soul’s Purpose

I am Mary Kimberly I'm Laura Warren welcome to our first episode how to embody your soul's purpose if you've been struggling with purpose in your life You need to listen to this one Today we wanted to talk to you about how to embody your life's purpose And it's so funny because this is like the million dollar question Do you have a lot of people ask you like what is their purpose? Absolutely like it's something you can order off Amazon. Yeah, like where is it? Yeah, and then the other thing to know too is that we sometimes we're human So we think we know what our purpose is, but we really don't so We decided this was a good place to start because we wanted to introduce ourselves and we wanted you to know how we got here because we have a crazy story and also just to kind of maybe give you permission to Do something on your life path that is a little different or to trust how you feel about something even though nobody else gets it

So, you know your purpose is your own purpose, and it's nobody else's purpose And that's something that I think we need to really focus on and kind of drill down Absolutely, so we're gonna start by trying to weave in some of this, you know Accepting your purpose and how that can unfold for your life with our stories And so I'm gonna ask him first to talk to you about how she came to be in this work Now she's working as a sole coach, but and and also a naturopathic therapist But has done so many things in her in her life. It's kind of I still love her story I listen to it all the time so And every time there's something new Oh, yeah after ten years if we can still surprise each other that's pretty absolutely well I think honestly, it was probably in 2006. I had a massive soul awakening and I was having trouble with my neck and back I found out I had seven herniated discs and at the time I was doing renovations So I was renovating homes mostly like paint and crack fell in wallpapering little odd jobs and stuff like that And because the doctor told me basically my life was over which seems so bleak

2:39 And I thought well anybody that knows me knows that I'm somebody who I go after what I want in life And it doesn't matter how difficult it is. I'm always gonna find a way to succeed within that so I I Started taking Reiki. I think it was February the 17th 2006 and I did my first level but right off the bat It felt like somebody reintroduced me to Mother Earth and to everything I had up until that point been kind of ignoring and I thought my purpose I well I think we always think our purpose is something that's staring us in the face, but not always I I took my first level and I was madly in love with it. I just couldn't believe how incredible it made me feel I felt like I was connected to something bigger than myself and I'm somebody who's always believed in God But my version of God and somebody else's might not be exactly the same So I started doing Reiki and I was picking up on stuff like all the time But when I knew that I had love for it, which I didn't expect to have again That was not what I thought my purpose was but right off the bat I said to the universe if this is something I meant to do then I I need to go out and figure this out and

4:00 Kind of let it let it show me the way So I did about 400 treatments for free in the beginning and you have to understand that when I quit doing my renovation Stuff I had no money and I can remember the very first phone call I got and again all I had was my first level and It was somebody that called me that was in the hospital and they had had they had been on life support for seven days and When the guy came to he looked at his wife and said call camp well She knew me from childhood, but I hadn't seen her for a long long time, but she just kind of knew what I was doing and They had asked if I would go in and do treatments on them. Well, I remember taking the phone call It was a Thursday night and I was so excited when I got off the phone and at the time my husband He said aren't you afraid and I said well, what would I be afraid of he said?

4:54 Well, wouldn't you be afraid if he died? I said well, it's non-invasive nothing I'm gonna do is gonna harm him and I was just like I would have ran there and the hospital was about 30 40 minutes away So I started going up every other day and to make a long story short basically what had happened was He felt me and I think it was the second or third time. I worked on him I felt this presence on my right shoulder and you have to understand all of this was completely new to me I was always in a very intuitive kid picked up on things was always straightforward with people Probably brutally honest person, but always in a way that I wanted to help people So, you know, I go up and I'm working on this guy and I hear his father talking to me And I kind of look over my shoulder and I don't see him But I feel him and I through feeling him I could I could somewhat tell what he looked like and I could hear him telling me this story about Why his son is in this predicament and his son was probably at the time 53 and He had had Massive heart attack and they found out that he had three of his four arteries blocked one And one half blocked so that he wasn't in very good shape and his left leg was

6:13 They had machines in the bottom of his leg that they were keeping the blood moving But they really were in a predicament where they couldn't operate on his heart because his leg couldn't operate on his leg because of his heart So it he was really just taken I just thought in the moment He's just looking for help any way he could and I was just like a wild card. So I went up and him and I actually got really close and sorry to interrupt you But don't you think it's funny that we're always the last resort? Yes. Yes. It's like let's call the crazy people that believe that Yeah, exactly so it was for me you have to understand this was a very beginning for me and already I'm doing this incredible stuff and Like learning how to communicate in a way. I never did before And he just kept getting better and better and when I would walk in and at first I went up every second day And he would pull the blanket off. He said I'm healing and in my head I'm thinking of course you are wouldn't you why wouldn't you that's how much I believe in healing. I always have no matter what Not everybody gets the same outcome. That's for sure, but we don't all choose the same lessons in the same experiences. So He basically um through I I don't remember exactly how long I worked on him, but he was so

7:32 Like he was so intrigued by it all that he wanted me to work on the guy in the next bed I'm trying to get him convinced to let me and he and he didn't but that's okay So at the end of all this I said he was getting out of the hospital and I said I'm still not done I'd like you to come to my home. I have a few more treatments. I'd like to finish with And when his father had come through the thing I left out was I couldn't tell him because he was too weak And I knew that was way too emotional Because his father was basically saying that he's the reason why he had so much stress on his heart because he was So hard on him. He never let up when he was younger Nothing he did was ever good enough and and this is his words not mine So but I did call his wife that night to verify what I picked up on and I just told her what had happened And she said, oh my gosh. Yes. That's that's that So we had a great conversation But then when I brought him back to my home for the last treatment Um, he told me that the doctors and and he walked out of the hospital He still had his his left leg and he said the doctors had told him that the three arteries that were completely blocked Were completely unblocked and the one that was half blocked was still half blocked And I I kind of had my idea about what that was about and it wasn't

8:48 For me to do anything with and and I want to say that I don't think that I'm the magician here I just think that I believe 150 percent in In a higher power and I always kind of looked at myself as I'm somebody who gets to hold this incredible Tube of energy that's coming through me into my clients and just kind of waking them up to say You know, what is it you want? What are you looking for? So, you know, I've heard this story before Every time I hear it. I just feel this complete trust this like faith that you have in the universe and I think that's pretty special because a lot of people have to work very hard And that trust in the higher power or trust that you are you have a plan There's a divine plan for you Absolutely. And so like so many times throughout that story. I just hear You had to like trust Absolutely trust what you were doing. Yeah to be able to number one agree to do it And then number two well scared the hell out of my axe And to talk to people about it to say like, you know, your father in spirit needs to say these things to you Like it takes such courage to do that. And I think that's why

10:06 A lot of my work ends up being actually empowering people Follow their intuition because everyone has intuition. Right. Everyone has some psychic ability But they don't trust it or they don't believe it or they don't think they're worthy enough Absolutely. So there's some stuff here that like With purpose to begin For some people that maybe can't trust They have to begin with that reprogramming Absolutely Absolutely And I think one of the beautiful gifts for me was the day that I had him at my home and he had told me what the doctor said I then Had space to tell him what his father Had come through and said to me and he cried his wife cried. I cried Um, and I just had such a fulfilling feeling of doing this work I thought oh my god Like that was it and I was gone like a shot I was just going around looking for anybody I could that wanted a treatment. Sometimes I picked on family Sometimes it was whoever showed up, you know, and I I could tell you stories all day About beautiful stories about connection as as you doing the work you do I watch you all the time

11:22 You know read people counsel people You know, you're coaching them. It's not just a reading and I watch I'll never forget one of the clients we had that something absolutely horrible happened And she came to you for reading and she just you know, it absolutely looked like she was expanded her energy like she was carrying all this weight of You know hardship And it was just something horrible that had happened to their family And I remember you delivering the message from the person that she needed to hear from And we seen her two weeks later and she literally looked like she lost 50 pounds now I know, you know who I'm talking about but it's just so incredible to me And I think that's one of the biggest reasons why we started this podcast and we've been talking about it for two years Is that we've both had we spend like 24 seven with each other, you know the healer and the psychic medium and that's all we ever talk about because Evolvement and awakening and awakening is something that has blessed our life and given us all this incredible Gifts every day And I think we just want to share it with more people And help other people find a way to get out of wherever they're stuck

12:38 Oh my gosh And it's true like we have been talking about this for a long time and this is our premier episode The circle of the sacred flame We are like we we had to work on the on the name a little bit But this is where we we landed because we've always talked about having very special people around our fire So, um, this is kind of where we ended up and I have a personal connection to violent flame healing So this is this all made sense for us. Uh, and the the path has been quite, um, rocky like I would say, um Let's see Let's reword that rocky boulders and a little crunchy at times So me on my side of things, um, I grew up in a catholic home So, you know, we we talked about god. We understood to the level of understanding we could what god was and um stories of jesus and bible stories and old new testament all that stuff, um But you know really my Although I had some very psychic things happen to me as a child my great awakening, I would say was when I was pregnant with my first child

13:54 And um I didn't realize that when you're pregnant with a psychic baby. What happens to you? So it was like all these years I have been experiencing these things and I had been shutting it down And I have been telling god at the time or whoever would listen to me that I didn't want this gift And I didn't want to do this and it was scary at times because I didn't understand it And so here I am pregnant and the door to the spirit world is wide open and it will not close and Many I'm sure many spiritual people out there have experienced this on some level when you're pregnant It's like a direct line to the other side And you're in it nine months. Absolutely. You're not getting out. Well, you know, there's no closing that door So I experienced some things during the pregnancy that were a little bit off-putting we'll say um, but I was learning and and um, thankfully had a little bit of patience with myself Um, because I was so intuitive already. I kind of knew I knew that this was happening this, you know, spiritual awakening is happening But I would say the big The big awareness for me

15:10 That this path was was really strong and I had to take this path There was little signs along the way and I started doing readings with a friend and um, we were just like We opened up so quickly. We were reading everybody we ran into. We were reading people on the street and restaurants and grocery stores malls Um, we were we were like like sprinkling our business card all over helifax Um, and then we met some pretty cool people that kind of opened up some doors for us And we did a lot of we did a lot of work together But I would say the biggest eye opening moment for me was actually a car accident Um, I love how they do that to us, right? Yeah, I was I was a really stubborn person So I was stubbornly saying to the world the universe. I'm teaching in a public school I'm using my teaching degree and sorry, but you don't get to tell me what to do And so I was teaching teaching and I was forcing through my intuition was telling me it was time to leave My intuition was telling me that that wasn't my place There was many other things happening within the schools that I was teaching at that were forcing me out as well Um But I at the time was looking at those things is like just I just have to overcome this

16:27 I just have to overcome this and if you're a teacher then you understand In canada or in Nova scotia anyway that you're waiting to get that permanent contract So I was like I was just pushing myself. I'm like, I'm gonna stay doesn't matter. What kind of hell this is for me I'm gonna work through it get that permanent contract And also like I had, you know, lots of student loans and things and reasons but Had a major car accident after taking a job that intuitively I knew it wasn't right for me And the car accident changed everything I could no longer Read text in a book But all of a sudden my ability to read people was exponentially better and I it was almost like the universe said listen We're not letting you back in that classroom because I couldn't handle fluorescent lights. I couldn't handle movement I couldn't handle stress like the actual stress of the job And uh, so I decided if I'm going to make this work Then I'm going to have to get better at my readings I'm going to have to read people to make a living because I literally didn't have any options I wasn't trainable because I couldn't read text So I couldn't study or learn to do another job I couldn't go back to school or anything. It was like the universe literally said you have this one path

17:48 And I I have in the past called it the bitch slap from the universe To put me back in that place of being grounded and humble to say Listen, you are not in charge You're not in charge You have a plan that you came here to fulfill and now you weren't listening. So we're gonna guide you I love how that happens It's not fun, but it happens. It's not fun But just look at it now. I'm so thankful. So thankful that It happened the way it did and knowing how stubborn I am. There was no way there was no way I was going to stop You know doing what I had committed to do Unless something really dramatic happened So something really dramatic happened. Absolutely. And wouldn't you say that that's that's very normal for people when When the universe wants to shift you out of where you are into where you're meant to be Sometimes it is a kick that really hurts. Like it's not it's not gentle. No No, and that's the thing. I think we not always gentle sometimes maybe we have to if we have to change Then the universe will find a way to shift us and there were signs for me and I I literally Forcefully did not listen to that. Absolutely. So I had intuitive friends at the time because you know

19:08 When you're a psychic in the beginning ever everybody's your friend Everybody wants to know what you think But I actually befriended a lot of like psychic people at the time And all of my psychic friends were telling me that I was it looked like that I was headed For a cliff like I was like I was in a car driving But I couldn't see the cliff but I was going to drive right off And that's kind of in some ways. It's sort of what happened. Absolutely But what this did for me was it removed a lot of the barriers I had to being a psychic medium And there was a lot of them. Absolutely, you know Kim Kim trusted her path and moved on her path And I had to have it Sort of beat into me What my path was So There is something to be said when you're meant for something Um, it's sort of like the universe will redirect you and put you on that path. Absolutely You can't really stop that freight train from happening But then I feel like You get to this place where you start feeling This fulfillment that you didn't feel before and you start realizing that no matter what You have to do to keep moving forward. You're going to keep doing it

20:25 And it didn't matter for you and I it didn't matter how many curve balls we were thrown It didn't know how it didn't matter how many times we fell on our face or You know, like it really Our journey was not an easy one. However, I do believe that some of us choose A big life, which I know I I chose a big life. I have no regrets to anything in my life. Um There's lots there, but I'm just so grateful to be sitting here beside you doing this right now So, I know this is pretty great, right? Well, I I can't wait till we get going and and they're they're flying You know left right and center here. We're ripping them off here, but It's just for me. It's something that I always love to talk about this stuff We have so many incredible stories. Um, beautiful stories of healing And evolvement and awakening with with so many of our clients and friends that This is you know, the biggest reason why we do all this stuff and I think Right from the minute I met you Um, I'll never forget that moment Because it was the first time I had been away from home And had sort of what you would call a girl's night and I I came to Halifax to a group reading and

21:41 You know, I'm a very loyal solid person I You know, and I was with a man for well 32 years all together. I was 15 when I met him But I remember the night I met you when I just remember looking at you and I knew you I just had this deep sense of oh my god I know her and then I was like I love her, but I didn't know what the hell that meant And everybody was getting the readings you had been reading everyone And I think there was probably 13 people there that night And I think I was the second to the last one to get read. I didn't even care I was just having so much fun watching you do what you did and I thought what a beautiful gift To be able to talk to people about past on loved ones and you know It doesn't matter guides, whatever you talk to so many different beings. Um And now I just have such a bigger expanded Knowing about all this stuff because we've we have been together for We've we've been a couple for 10 years, but we were friends for a year and a half before that But um, well, I just feel like that That feeling when you meet somebody that is on your soul path You know as a human you don't understand it

You just go that's my person though Yeah, like like this person, you know, you meet and you just feel like there's something important about This because this feels way too comfortable to just met somebody for the first time and When you think about all the things that had to happen For that group reading to happen and for you to be there that absolutely was meant to be Oh, and it was just my one of my girlfriend's Marilyn She was going to Halifax to one of her friends who were a same-sex couple too And she went to visit and wanted somebody to ride along with her and that's basically all it was Yeah, I mean I remember um, meeting some people at that group reading and just feeling like This the feeling like everything was really important. Yeah the feeling like Everybody I talked to was really pivotal on my path But not really understanding why and I think that's an important point too is Once you decide that you're going to walk a spiritual path because it literally is a decision I feel like and and purpose is so tied up in spirituality. I don't think it's easy to separate the two And we have to be very kind of mindful of that when people want to know what their purpose is

24:16 On a spiritual path Your purpose could be a simple one just like like I really want to help people I want to be a mother and stay home and take care of my kids and I'll have to work But we mix up our purpose with our Way to make money Absolutely our career our achievements Our skills and abilities and really the way I look at this and I talked to my clients about this too because I know when we met we had this like Sort of like electric like connection like it felt like Being very drawn to somebody like this magnetic feeling but not really understanding what the hell it was And and we're both in we're both in marriages at this point We're both married to men that we had been with since we were both 15 So we didn't really know anything else other than our marriages and To meet somebody and just feel like There's something here. There's something I have to Continue to find out about and just the feeling you just want to be with like talk to them Well best friend your person your your business partner. Yeah, that's originally we did think that we were just sort of like well We just found each other. We're best friends, you know but

25:33 This whole idea like the sole path. I think what mixed me up anyway is that We're told a story. We're told that you know go Finish school get educated get married have kids That's how you're going to serve the world You know go out into the world get a career And then your career becomes your purpose and that's just that's just not true and it puts so much pressure on people too What if the way you make money is just the way you make money? I mean you can interweave your purpose into making money but Your purpose is something that has happened happening to you and working through you all day long So what I discovered is when I started saying to the universe how best can I serve you?

26:20 That's when my life shifted. Absolutely because then I was in a place of allowing I was in a place of letting it happen. I was in a place where I was like Let the universe show me because I don't I I don't freaking know anymore. That's basically I hit a wall and I was like, I don't know what's going on here anymore So this was soon after the accident. I just took on this morning practice of gratitude But also ask kind of talking to the universe and say show me how best I can serve you And that one question changed my entire life because I started to see How I was going to allow I was releasing my expectations releasing the pressure I put on myself Really surrendering to the universe. Yeah, and I was letting These opportunities and these energies into my life that were actually in my highest good But I never would have allowed it before if I had my blinders on and I was just deciding What my life was going to be absolutely without involving the universe so this is this is like It's the most uncomplicated complicated thing ever Well, it's funny too because I remember when I first started Reiki everybody in my environment family friends

27:38 They were like they knew something had happened to me because I remember people saying to me You feel different. You're so grounded and quiet and anybody that knows me knows I'm not quiet Um, and I love to talk. I love people. I love life. I love expansion. I just I love people watching and I I had found that I was calmer and within six months because I had done Reiki to myself every day and it's funny people people have this perception of like church you can pray for people and that's acceptable But when you're in this like who Work who do who do you know? It's like they look at prayer differently. But if you have an intention for another human being in a loving way That's still prayer and even this whole philosophy like this god thing. Well, you know, no matter what I tell people I believe I love all different denominations of people. I love I love god But god to me is a universal consciousness that we're all connected to and is available to all of us And it's just love. It's a loving energy and I always found this work cap The thing I love about it and I always I know you feel this way too is that

28:55 You could do it for free But there's an energy we would be ill if we didn't take the exchange of We give a certain energy to our clients and our clients pay for that Just like you would pay for anything and that was the other side of it I know this happened to you too is where people I had some people in my environment Family too and they'd be thinking I should do it for free for them And I thought well But you do this for your work So if you'd like to trade what you do for what I do no problem But you have to value yourself or and wouldn't it be nice if everything that was good for us was free? Right. Absolutely. That would be wonderful But in order for us when you look at money money money's energy money's currency and For us, you know, if we wanted to dedicate our life to something And you know, I feel like we're pretty damn good at it. So, you know, we want to dedicate our life to this We have to be able to support ourselves absolutely need and that was never a thing for me where I was Never felt like I had to ask for too much It was sort of like just whatever is appropriate whatever's in my highest good and and I had um that kind of

30:12 In my in the back of my mind all the time when I was working That if this isn't my highest good then the universe knows better than me And we need all of us need safety and security You know, we need the essentials of life And you know, if anybody If anybody knew Kim and I We we live pretty humbly But we like to be We like to be taken care of we like nice nice things, but we're not we're not extravagant people This is this was never about that So our work Is really been enriched by the beautiful people we've met that the experiences we've had the places we've been Absolutely, but You know, this is a life. This is a life calling that Kim and I are experiencing This is not just something that you do as a hobby on the side for fun We have been full time in this work for many years almost 20 Exactly. So we're both at almost the 20 20 year mark of doing this work for me. I've been strictly full time for the past 10 years And That's something that's why we said we want to call this circle of the sacred flame because we want to

We want to bring it forward for people This stuff is too good to keep private Absolutely secret anymore And so this is about us sharing and we do lots of things to balance out and we share when we can And we charge when we have to and that's just the way it is and Anybody that's working in the spiritual field and is not charging It will hurt their energy field. Absolutely. It will because we well, they don't think they're deserving either and that's an old programming Right when we don't think we're and here's the other thing I want to touch on is you and I've both been challenged like incredibly along the way to get here because I know that you and I Um It's been 10 years almost we've been together and in the beginning when we first left Not very many people liked us very much It wasn't a very normal thing For somebody to leave their husband for a woman and there was lots of stories and lots of uh, I'll say Ignorance is thrown at us, but we never wavered and You know after your accident I know how hard it was on you because I remember when I first met you and you were going through a lot still about it And it was a year after we were together

32:49 I was leaving helifax to go back home because we had been going back and forth Um, because I lived in New Brunswick and my wife lived here. Yeah So we were back and forth every Friday We were either going I was either going to helifax to see Laura Laura was coming to quispamsus to see me It was crazy and one day I knew intuitively I shouldn't have gone home I I knew it. I felt it but the ground was bare It was in the winter and I went and I got in a car accident There was a blizzard and I got in the accident around sowsbury area for anybody that knows new brunswick It's about an hour an hour and 15 minutes from home Out of a five-hour drive. So, you know, I almost got there But I got in a terrible accident that Could have been worse, but I do believe in The power of spirit and I know I had lots of help but Because of that accident Um, I had I had a home in helifax quispamsus on my own And I couldn't keep up. I couldn't work full time because I was hurt so bad And I had to go bankrupt and here's the funny thing. I think it's actually quite incredible to be at this position where you can look back at your life and

34:07 That bankruptcy was probably one of the best things that could have ever happened to me because I've been an entrepreneur all my life I think I started working at 10 and realizing that oh, wow, if you work hard you get paid and that that currency Create, you know, you can use that for things that you love in life and for me I love sports and that was one thing I spent all my little money mowing lawns and shoveling driveways on but You know, I've worked for myself all before years. So I've I had You know, I've always had a company and I've always worked for myself but it's it's um For me, it was The fact that I couldn't keep up with my bills. So the bankruptcy I had to do a budget for nine months There was so many things I learned that I was doing wrong in business and really I was kind of Hurting myself. It wasn't something I would did wrong in a negative way. It was I wasn't Getting enough of a tax break All on my own doing so so much that we both learned and I know you had to go bankrupt after you left your ex because He had gone and then you had no choice. So, you know, you know funny stories But yeah, like the bankruptcy

35:24 Was just collateral damage after the marriage breakup And this happens happens to a lot of people and I just I looked at it actually looked at it as a fresh start as a way to begin again and to What what better way to end the energy? Absolutely from a relationship that is no longer It was a really good way to just put a final stamp on that and say, okay, like we did it. It's done That's it. Yeah, and I don't have to carry that anymore and so The there's all these Gifts that come to you if you're willing to see them and if you're willing to view them as gifts Most things that happen to people in their life. We know we came and I know this that things happen for you They don't happen to you and they happen for you because there's something missing in your energy field Something your soul decided it wanted to learn and so we've we've both been through a total rebuild so You know marriage is ending house is selling bankruptcies Complete rebuild of our businesses. So we have Literally from the ground up from the ground up together

36:41 And we built the life now that we really wanted and the life that we aspired to have many years ago so there is this peace to purpose That to me sometimes feels like the purpose part should kind of be in the background because You are working on your purpose. Everybody is every day. Everybody is that's the thing This is the most popular question. I get that people feel lost. They don't know what their life purpose is and really it's there's too much pressure put on people because naturally you are living your purpose And each of us come here with a unique energy signature Each single soul a single person has a unique frequency and unique vibration in this universe And you think about the collective and we know that we are all connected You think about this collective of energy and if you deleted one vibration Then that collective would suffer in some way. So we all our job is is to Transmit our vibration and that's really sciency and kind of cold but but Really what it boils down to is you need to do the things in your life that make you feel the best

38:00 That make you feel the healthiest that make you feel the happiest charge your battery A miss and we know this is a human life. It's not easy and we're not all joy and bliss all the time But your job is to find the things that bring you joy Because that's when your energy is the best. That's when your vibration your frequency Sings to the top level And I think the other thing is that Some people don't realize is when you're doing what's best for you. You can tell because you feel fed I know you feel like this too is when I'm doing a treatment or if I'm coaching someone You're in the divine flow of consciousness So I always felt like when I was doing treatments on my clients I felt like I was getting the treatment and I feel the same way when I'm coaching And I can tell when you're done working on a client even the really hard Ones you have to do that, you know But I can see your eyes are white and glowing and you feel like energized because you gave somebody A piece of hope or or or like um, what's the word? Um They just like they get closure closure. That's what I was looking for. Thank you. So here's the thing is People have said to be many times How and this could be like a question that people would ask him to because how do you do the work you do?

39:20 And not feel the weight of everybody or take it on. Yeah or their fear or their trauma And that's the amazing thing about connecting with the spirit world there is In a measurable amount of trauma On this earthly plane. Absolutely and people experience that at all different levels And I have had some very, you know Very difficult sessions where spirit will come in And they've died in a very traumatic way Uh and the parents or the sisters the siblings the family the children anybody anybody that you know could be the sitter They are just so distraught distraught by not being able to Say goodbye The way their loved one passed maybe perceived suffering But I will tell you every single time the light and the love that comes from the loved ones in spirit It lights me up and I can share that with the people that are suffering and it always It it always surprises me how good it feels Even though we're talking about something terrible

40:37 And it's true healing when you can take something that's so awful And transform it into something beautiful. Well, it's funny. I you know, it's not funny. Haha It's funny that we're talking about this right now because last year we're coming up on almost a year since my mom passed and I've always been somebody who I'm a truth teller I accept everything at face value whatever presents itself to me I I take it and I deal with it and I try to turn into a positive. I've always been um people talk about me as I'm very positive and I'm uplifting and I think that's a choice. Um because I've definitely lived through lots of mental illness and and dysfunction in my life and And all of that but I again, I have no regrets But my mother was passing last year and it was a shock Um, I intuitively knew probably in February. I woke up one day and said to my wife I said mom's not going to make it to the end of this year and she looked at me and said no I know and that's sometimes hard to know but sometimes Uh, it's a benefit to know And I made sure that when I could go home I did Um, but when she was passing

41:54 I remember I'm an avid gardener So I spend so much money on plants because they make me so happy But I went and bought these um, you know the clearance, uh rose bushes And they looked dead, but I know that they they come back and that's just part of the process of the dormant stage So I had bought two one was like a coral and was like a white with red Uh Right around it and I planted them And then I had to go home to new brunswick because you know, we got some more news about mom So I wanted to go back and and see what was going on And when I came back from that trip, I think I was there about a week that time and I came back And the first thing I do when I return home to my house Um, which I absolutely love my home our home Um, and it's been a journey getting it to the stage. It's out right now It was definitely a fixer-upper But the first thing I do is I walk around my property in the morning because usually I get here at night time and I can't walk around in the dark, but I got up the next morning And of course my mother was on my mind and I looked out the back door And I was getting my shoes on and I could see this little flecker of red And I went down to the garden and there was this perfect little rose

43:13 Off of that little rose bush that looked dead It had no life on it the week before when I left And I'd put it in the ground But there was this perfect and it wasn't full like it wasn't a full rose Like it was probably half the size it would normally be But it was perfect and it had little dew drops of rain on it and It just I had said before I left to go home. I said to my grandmother in spirit I said I'm going to need your help. This is going to be tough You know, I love my mom to death and uh So for me, this was her sign to me to say hey Everything's going to be okay and I got you right and I I know we all have a choice how we want to look at things and When my mother passed it wasn't long after that that I started getting messages from her Whether she was prancing around in the yard as a butterfly telling me look I'm free and you know like Or whatever message she was giving me One day I was dancing and I started dancing a different way and I was downstairs up on myself My wife would come down and be like what are you doing and I'm like I'm dancing because I'm happy And just because we lose people we love doesn't mean we have to stay stuck in that negative energy It doesn't make you love them more or less

44:31 When I think about my mother I I adored my mother and The fact that she's not here in the physical anymore is is hard But I also know that I can talk to her whenever I want to and My mother was somebody who embodied being a stay-at-home mom and she took care of us kids and and my dad and My mother in my mind, I just wanted so much more for always But uh, I just always try to get her to go to work and get a job other than working for my father Who was in construction because I wanted her to have her own identity outside of being a housewife And she didn't and I even wanted to take her away different times I think all of us kids did but She was just very much a stay-at-home mom. She loved she was very homebody But I think because she was the way she was It made me want to live life bigger And I love travel. I love my work. I love I love every day we get the hang out together and and be best friends and and uh partners and business and Partners and crime and everything else. So so, you know, I'm I'm grateful for the lessons of my mom and I know when I feel her in spirit. She's always happy most of her family's in spirit

45:48 So we can see it from our perspective what we're losing But we're not seeing what they've lost along the way when they're here Living without their family and you get that all the time in your work But for me, I I felt this happiness for her absolutely after she passed because it was quite a you know It was hard watching the whole process of her life ending, but as soon as she was gone I immediately had this like feeling of wow You know, she's with her sisters and her mom and her dad and like all her family except for her brother is gone So All I can feel was this big party in spirit. I was so happy for her We say that we say, you know, we have this way to look at life But really it it's quite a beautiful process to die, you know, like the whole way, you know, and I remember the The week before my mom passed her mother and her two sisters were sitting on the end of my bed So I knew in spirit in spirit. Yeah, I always have to say that because I talk like it's a everyday thing for you Um, but to me this whole way of thinking and being is so beautiful I I didn't look for my purpose. I think my purpose found me

47:06 But I was in such an awareness of it that I was like, I will do this till the last breath I take Yeah, and I think it's important too to not judge Purpose like absolutely because we have all these like human ideas about what purpose should be And then should be all like puppy dogs and rainbows and beautiful flowery things that it's that's not That's not how it works And and we can take somebody like your mom if people are being mean or judgmental they might uh lessen her purpose like lessen the importance of her purpose And her purpose was so multifaceted But because it doesn't fit into our human ideas of what a A worthwhile purpose is We would disregard somebody and say like you haven't lived the life. You haven't lived like a good life in a sense and I think what your mom did for you was to show you She she really showed you The way in a sense like what do you want and what you don't what don't you want and because she wasn't able to live her life in in a Really free way because of many issues It it I feel like it taught you to live your life bigger to really go out there and grab what you want

48:25 And do the things you want to do and I think that's really important too is that a purpose is not Just defined by our human ideals And We take all our human ideas and we put it on something that is actually a spiritual process A journey and a path and so this whole idea because The divine information what I found really early on doing this work is that when information came from the divine It didn't often make sense in the moment to myself or sometimes even to the person getting a reading the sitter But what I learned over time was that these messages from the divine were very worthwhile and very important And that the divine knows where we're going Even when we don't absolutely. So there's a higher vibrational piece to our Soul blueprint That is not we're not aware of as a human So we can't take our human ideas and then try to put them on something that isn't human Absolutely, and I don't believe that a purpose necessarily has to be defined by a human idea Or ideas and it takes a lot of bravery um to trust your purpose once you find it because

49:44 You know you and I aren't in your everyday thing. Yes. I do treatments On people but there's another part To my work and it's very intuitive. Yeah, and your work is all intuitive. So we're not mainstream People You know no not everybody talks to spirit all the time and and you and I'll joke even this house The person that owned it before us they passed away on the property. So in spirit they were I could see them all the time walking around and and the communication that we had and even some of the help that Wayne gave me and gave us right so I think the thing about this podcast is to expand people's awareness about You know what can be and what what isn't and and I think it's just so beautiful You and I could talk forever. Oh my gosh, like and that's that's that's a whole plan That's the whole plan with the podcast is to continue To talk about all the things that we we normally talk about around our private fire You know around our sacred flame And so we're inviting everyone in yes, and and it was so cool the name of it because I do have A connection to native spirits, uh

Yes honoring who you are Who you came here to be No matter how strange it seems to somebody else It doesn't really matter what other people think because this is about you and your life And are you going to trade away?

No, and so being a psychic medium Uh, wasn't my first career choice And uh, I can prove it too Because I found some old, um memory scrapbooks from when I was a kid and I wanted to be everything but this But but I I'm here and I'm so happy and I'm a perfect example of how the universe knew what was good for me What was the best thing for me and my highest good and I didn't know. No, I didn't think we do No, I didn't know I just knew I felt a lot better and it was so uplifting and The clients that I've worked on especially those 400 free dreams in the beginning, right?

52:38 And somebody said to me they said that was in the work They said, you know, you're not honoring yourself by not accepting money and I said, listen anybody that knows me knows I know how to attract money. Yeah. Yeah, right. So this was that was a practice That was about developing your practice. Yeah And that that's an important note too is that I did a ton of stuff for free in the beginning because you're learning And you're excited. Yeah, you're okay with accumulating the experiences and feeling more confident in what you're doing Um, but then, you know, you have to you have to graduate. You have to get to the place where You feel your worth and you communicate your worth and until we live in a world that isn't based on money We have to communicate our worth through money, but through other things too Not just money But it is one of the ways we communicate to the world that we know our worth. We know what we do for people We don't how we help people. I think that's a really good segue actually because we've talked about sole purpose to the point where people get it. I think like they understand we We know like there's things for us that, um, we don't quite understand But it's about being open releasing the expectations trusting trusting trust is so hard for some people but

53:57 Patience I think it's important to build the trust with universe Patience that that is my least favorite message from spirit because that's the one that hits us the longest because I am not patient So anytime you are about a lot of things. Oh, yeah, like regular everyday things But not when I'm excited about something. No, so yeah patients and also The surrender to the fact that you May not be in charge and that's really hard for people to understand They believe in a certain level of control in their life. It makes them feel safe But listen, I'm going to tell you You're not in charge. You're not and you can navigate things. You can make choices. We have free will But this is not this is too big. This is too big purposes is Too immense to just leave up to the individual.
